  1. Quick note on a 5-star RB 14 VIP Reply Back To Topics Brian Perroni Posted on 45 mins, V I P, User Since 213 months ago, User Post Count: 101382 45 minsVIP 213 months 101382 I expect Rueben Owens to announce his summer visit schedule soon. The 2023 Texas commit has A&M as one of his first ones, but will be seeing a few other big schools as well. He is planning to work out at most of the stops but the A&M one is before the camps start. However, he will be spending multiple days in Aggieland. I had said this in the chat or maybe a different thread but Texas would rather have his commitment at this point than not have it. However, there is still a long time until he signs and, even right after committing, he said he still would take visits. Tommie Robinson has done a really good job here in making Owens feel wanted by A&M.
  2. 0 5-star OT Kelvin Banks sets official visit to Texas A&M VIP Reply Back To Topics Brian Perroni Posted on 4 hrs, V I P, User Since 211 months ago, User Post Count: 98906 4 hrsVIP 211 months 98906 Humble (Texas) Summer Creek offensive tackle Kelvin Banks was one of the first players in the class of 2022 to begin scheduling official visits. With the NCAA set to allow the current dead period to expire at the end of May, prospects can begin taking them in June. The five-star junior had originally set a trip to Oklahoma State for the June 11 weekend and Texas A&M for the June 18 one. However, those have since changed. On Thursday evening, the 6-foot-6, 310-pound rescheduled his Oklahoma State one to begin on Wed., June 16. Then, two days later, he changed that weekend's visit to Texas A&M instead of A&M. But now, the Aggies have a new date. Banks spoke with Aggie offensive line coach Josh Henson and set a visit for June 24-26. That is a Thursday through Saturday, just before the normal July dead period begins. Banks will join national top-40 wide receiver Evan Stewart as players in town at that time for official visits. Banks has a fourth official set as well as he will make it to LSU the weekend of June 4-6. He wants to make a decision prior to his senior season, so it would not be a surprise for him to squeeze another one into the month of June as well. A one-time very early Oklahoma State pledge, Banks reopened his recruitment last summer. Since then, he has been very high on Texas A&M and has a strong bond with Henson. There are currently multiple Crystal Ball predictions in favor of the Aggies. Texas A&M will have a busy June with double-digit players having already set visits. More will likely be added as the Aggies are looking to make up for lost time, as players have not been allowed on campus for any visits since March of 2020
  3. Quick note on Kelvin Banks official visitVIP Back To Topics Brian Perroni avatar Brian Perroni Posted on 58 mins, V I P, User Since 211 months ago, User Post Count: 98865 58 mins VIP 211 months 98865 So, he originally had two scheduled. Oklahoma State on June 11 and A&M on June 18. But he switched the Oklahoma State one to June 16 today. They are doing a bunch of theirs in the middle of weeks. He had planned to then just do that one and the A&M one back-to-back. But, in Banks’ head, he thought the A&M one was on the 25th. So he told Texas the 18th would work when they set that up today. As soon as he tweeted, he realized they were both the same dates so he’s going to talk to Henson tonight or tomorrow and reschedule the A&M one for another weekend in June. That means he won’t be coming straight off another official and tired whenever he visits A&M so that might be the bright spot there. But he definitely still plans to make the visit and was not trying to replace A&M with Texas
