  1. KarenKeyLargo Posted on 20 mins, V I P, User Since 27 months ago, I don't know. But, it's sad that it wouldn't still be funny today. We bought old clothes a lot for rags. The guys would get all decked out in women's clothes just to mess with me. It was honestly hilarious. I learned to get along with them. They were physically stronger than me and I was better on reports, plotting courses, scheduling crane time, etc. So, they'd handle the Hauser line and rigging for me. Plus Sunday was cook's day off so I'd put on an apron and southern cook those boys into submission lol. We made it work. The only stand I took was no porn during meal times lol. I miss it every day. I didn't join til I was 49 after boys were all set up in life. It was 4 of the best years of my life. Sailed all over the world And got paid big for it. Only spent 100 days on land total. I knew I couldn't stay out there forever. Family and all. I hope all those guys are living a life of Fair winds and following seas. I still stay in touch with a few. Funny story, my first 3 month hitch I hurt pretty much every inch of my body. Badly. I cried a lot but kept on working. They told me later the captain watched me from the bridge when I was working on deck because I was such a klutz. They kept score of my injuries, screw ups and tears on a pad in the bridge. Bet on it and everything. The day I was chipping with a pneumatic tool and knocked my two front out the chief won $200 [https://s3media] we had each other's back though. We picked up a surveyor for a job and I was working night deck, checking straps. Drill pipe was stacked up in lines and rows. I was walking those when the surveyor grabbed me in a dark alley between stacks. The captain could know longer see me. He sounded a general and the crew came running. They pulled him off me and beat the living ***** out of that guy. I didn't press charges or make a fuss. I earned big stripes for that. Just went and got a new shirt on and went back to work. Life at sea. Nothing like it

  3. Grading each position in A&M's 2020 class BRIAN PERRONI Texas A&M had a very good Early Signing Period with the class of 2020. At the end of Wednesday, the Aggies were able to fend off other schools for all of their commits, signing each one. That included a pair of four-star defenders that committed to A&M earlier in the week. The class currently has 22 players in it and is ranked No. 6 nationally. There is room for three more players, so there will be some new in January and February. However, most of the class is complete. With that being said, here are my grades for each position. Some players will end up outplaying their ranking while others are bound to do the opposite. However, considered the needs of the team and the players they targeted, this is how I rank things at the moment. QUARTERBACK: A+ Texas A&M took a lot more time than a lot of schools, choosing to sit out of the early round of the quarterback musical chairs. That moved paid off as Longview’s Haynes King looked every part of a future star on his junior film and throughout the spring evaluation period. The 6-foot-2.5, 190-pound dual-threat East Texan long had Tennessee on top but the Aggies were able to convince him to stay in state, picking up a commitment over the summer. King struggled a bit as a senior but he is still the same player that put up incredible accuracy numbers as a junior and tested off the charts this spring. He has a potential to be a big-time star in college. RUNNING BACK: B With A&M seeing a ton of attrition at the spot over the course of the season, losing three players to the transfer portal and one to an injury retirement, running back became a very important position. This grade will definitely go up to an A+ if A&M is able to beat out LSU for North Shore five-star Zachary Evans on Jan. 2, but for now, there are still some concerns. A&M signed one of the nation’s top playmakers in four-star all-purpose back Devon Achane. The 5-foot-9, 170-pound speedster will also run on the Aggie track team. He can do a lot of things with the ball in space and should have an immediate impact in the return game as well. However, Achane is not a player that is going to run between the tackles much in the SEC. The other running back in the class is Deondre Jackson out of Georgia. The 5-foot-10.5, 205-pounder had an impressive senior season and can run between the tackles and grind out yards. However, he isn’t going to be much of a home-run threat. Jackson will definitely have a role in the physical SEC, though. Evans is the player that can do a little bit of everything and the type that the Aggies would ideally have to keep up with the Joneses in the SEC West. The class right now is good but, without Evans, landing either Camar Wheaton or LJ Johnson in the 2021 class becomes very important as they too are both game-changing backs. WIDE RECEIVER: A Texas A&M got the signature from what many consider the top wide receiver in the country in 6-foot-3, 200-pound five-star Demond Demas. He has run sub-4.4 times and is incredibly athletic. The one concern is the competition level he has faced, which was very weak. However, Demas has every trait one looks for in a receiver and, even if it takes some time to get up to the speed of the college game, he has the potential to be an All-American. Muhsin Muhammad III out of North Carolina is a player that A&M absolutely loves. They went to the East Coast and made the 6-foot, 185-pounder a priority. He is not as fast or as big as Demas, but he runs routes incredibly well and he is very dangerous after the catch. Devin Price, a local product from A&M Consolidated, is a bit of a wildcard. But, he has good size at 6-foot-2.5, 205 pounds and had a couple huge games his senior season. Speed is a bit of a question mark but, at worst, Price should be a player that is able to move the chains for the Aggies as he has very good hands. TIGHT END: B- With Glenn Beal having removed his name from the transfer portal, the depth at the tight end position is not quite as dire anymore. Still, though, the Aggies need bodies if nothing else. A&M signed Blake Smith out of Southlake Carroll, who saw his stock shoot up this past spring. A former quarterback turned blocking tight end as a junior, the 6-foot-4, 250-pounder impressed schools in spring ball. He picked up a ton of offers but committed on his first official visit, which was to A&M, and completely shut things down. Smith had an impressive senior season, proving to more of a pass-catcher than he had shown as a junior, but the Aggies still went after some other national prospects. OFFENSIVE LINE: C Anybody who watched Texas A&M play this year knows the Aggies need help on the offensive line. There are some solid signees in the class, but there is not a true left tackle prospect that the team desperately needs. If they land Texas transfer Javonne Shepherd, he could fill that role. Until then, though, the grade is low because it is so interior-heavy. Landing Chris Morris out of Memphis was big as A&M beat out most of the SEC. The Aggies are recruiting the 6-foot-3.5, 290-pounder as either a tackle or a guard. He is longer than most players his height and has good feet, but may not be a prospect you rely on to anchor the line. Still, he should be a big player for the Maroon and White. Getting four-star offensive guard Akinola Ogunbiyi back after he had flipped to Georgia in the spring is big. He is a mauler in the run game. However, in the past two seasons combined, his team completed less than 30 passes, so his pass blocking skills are a bit of a question mark. Ogunbiyi has lost a bit of weight as well but will still need time in the training room. However, he has the potential to be an All-SEC type player. A&M picked up an early commit from offensive guard Josh Bankhead, who committed on the spot the spring of his sophomore year. Bankhead is one of the strongest players in the state and it shows when he run blocks. He loves the weight room. His game may not be incredibly flashy but he could be the first of the signees to see the field in Aggieland. Smart Chibuzo committed along with good friend Ogunbiyi the first time around and stayed true to his pledge. Thought to be a tackle at the time, he transitioned to guard as a senior and is a better fit there. A&M listed him at 6-foot-4, 350 pounds so he, too, will have to hit the training room. The final commit is Jordan Jefferson of Navasota. He committed in early February of his freshman year. A&M listed the 6-foot, 315-pounder as an offensive lineman but he could end up on the defensive line. If not, center is probably his best bet. DEFENSIVE END: A This was a very good haul at defensive end for A&M. The roster now has a bunch of bigger players that are good run-stoppers, so the staff went out and prioritized pass rushers. National top-100 prospect Donell Harris out of Miami gave the Aggies a scare when he seriously considered flipping to Florida late. However, the 6-foot-4, 220-pounder signed with A&M in the end. He had 19 sacks in 11 games as a senior and gives the roster quickness that is does not currently have. Another big-time pass rusher that A&M was able to hold onto late was four-star Fadil Diggs. The New Jersey Gatorade Player of the Year, there’s a reason he a number of programs continued to try and flip him. The 6-foot-4, 240-pounder also had 19 sacks as a senior while showing his athleticism on offense as well, topping the 1,000-yard mark as a receiver. Diggs will enroll early and could make his way up the depth chart by the end of fall camp. It took a year longer than he would have liked but four-star Braedon Mowry of Katy Taylor is now officially an Aggie as well. A longtime commit in the class of 2019, he worked on academics and was able to sign with this class. The 6-foot-4, 240-pounder had 23 tackles for loss and 12 sacks as a senior, so he too is a strong pass rusher. DEFENSIVE TACKLE: B- A&M went out of state to pick up a couple of targets. Isaiah Raikes from New Jersey is going to be more of a one-technique at 6-foot-0.5, 325 pounds. He showed athleticism by playing running back as a senior and is quick from the interior. He is similar to former A&M standout Daylon Mack in terms of build but could also have some of the same problems against the run. Still, though, he is a very solid player. Dallas Walker out of Tennessee fits the mold of a lot of the defensive linemen currently on campus at 6-foot-4, 315 pounds. However, he is still a bit raw. The tools are there and should show up, though, and there is a reason that Auburn tried so hard to flip him late. However, it could be a couple years before he is able to contribute. A&M would really like McKinnley Jackson out of Mississippi to sign with them in February. If the 6-foot-2, 327-pounder ends up an Aggie, this grade will go up. LINEBACKER: B+ The Aggies signed four linebackers in last year’s class, so it was not a huge need this year. Still, it would have been nice for A&M to have been able to add two players at the position instead of just one. The one that signed, though, is very good. The Aggies were one of the first programs after four-star Antonio Doyle out of St. Louis and it paid off as he committed to A&M earlier this week. The 6-foot-3, 230-pound defender can play any of the linebacker spots and the Aggies have told him he could end up inside or out. For a bigger high school linebacker, he covers a ton of ground and is also very strong vs. the run. Doyle should be a very big contributor throughout his career and very much fits the mold of an SEC linebacker. A&M hosted Edgerrin Cooper, a four-star outside linebacker/edge rusher out of Louisiana, just before the dead period. He could still potentially end up in the class when all is said and done and, if he does, would give A&M a different type of player on the roster. CORNERBACK: A This grade went way up when the Aggies were able to land four-star junior college transfer Brian George this past Tuesday. Though the 6-foot-2, 190-pound defender likely will not be in town until the summer, he has experience against big and fast competition and was a second-team All-American this past season. He gives A&M a player that could come in and contend for playing time immediately at a spot that needs an infusion of speed. Jaylon Jones out of Cibolo Steele was a huge get as well. Committed since early-February, the 6-foot-2.5. 190-pounder is a big cornerback but is a player that A&M expects to stick at the position. He had four interceptions as a senior, despite seeing other teams do their best to throw away from him. There is a reason Jones is ranked as the No. 30 overall player in the class and, as an early enrollee, is likely to find his way into the depth chart very early as well. Though A&M fans may not know a ton about four-star Joshuah Moten out of Maryland, he only allowed four passes to be completed on him all year while intercepting four passes and breaking up eight more. It was big when A&M flipped him from Penn State. Moten needs to add weight, though, as he came in at 5-foot-11, 165 pounds this past spring. Once he does that, he will help the Aggies get faster in the rotation at the position. SAFETY: B Like linebacker, safety is a position that the Aggies signed some very good players at a year ago. Because of that, the coaching staff was very selective at the spot. They zeroed in on Antonio Johnson out of East St. Louis as their primary target. The 6-foot-2, 182-pounder is athletic enough to play cornerback, and was recruited there by some schools, but loves to hit and stop the run as a safety. He was A&M’s main target at the position and the Aggies were able to beat out most of the top schools in the country for him. But, with injury and attrition, A&M saw late in the year that it needed some depth at the spot. They ended up burning the redshirt of Erick Young because of it. Is not taking more than one in the class going to end up biting the Aggies
  4. Top 100 LBer Antonio Doyle just committed to aggy
  5. Brian PerroniSTAFF Posted on 36 mins, V I P, User Since 197 months ago, User Post Count: 0 36 minsVIP 197 months - I still expect Antonio Doyle to announce for A&M at 3 p.m. -Dallas Walker is 'announcing' on Wednesday at noon. Look for him to stick with his A&M pledge, especially after visiting over the weekend. -Not a ton new on Donell Harris. Florida is still pushing very hard for him and will continue to recruit him up until he puts pen to paper on Wednesday. A&M feels the weekend went reallt well. The other recruits thinks he sticks. But, this is one we will be watching until he signs with one school or another. My prediction is still A&M, though. He plans to wait until 3 p.m. Central on Wednesday to announce/sign. -Chris Morris has a legitimate interest in Ole Miss but, as I said last night, I still expect him to sign with A&M. I'm still not ready to say 100%, but I'm fairly confident in that one. -Though he is not going to end up at A&M, the Dontae Manning recruitment is one to watch. If he ends up choosing Georgia, then that means the Bulldogs do not likely have a spot for Major Burns. If he goes with Oregon, then Burns likely ends up in Athens. Manning does not plan to publicly announce until the Under Armour Game on Jan. 2, but schools should know his choice on Wednesday. Right now, I would guess that, despite the late visit to UGA, he probably still ends up at Oregon. That would not be good news for A&M re: Burns. Burns plans to sign at 9 a.m. Wednesday and will have an NLI from A&M. If he does not pick Georgia, it will be the Aggies. -There is nothing new on Zachary Evans. I'm still not 100% convinced he will sign early and have the school hold onto it until his announcement on Jan. 2. But, that was the plan last I was told. Obviously, the EJ Smith Wednesday decision will likely be impacted by how A&M feels on Evans. I'd put it at 50/50 with A&M and LSU at this point with the caveat I always add that absolutely nothing would surprise me. Daniyel Ngata is now set to announce at Under Armour on Jan. 2 instead of the World Bowl on Dec. 21. He's the third guy to at least keep an eye on in this. -Fadil Diggs plans to sign at Noon on Wednesday. I still believe it will be A&M, despite Locksley being a very good recruiter and Maryland using the distance factor. But, the Terps will be working on him until he signs. -Auburn is not going to take JUCO CB Brian George. At this point, I don't think he is an option for A&M either, but I have not gotten a definitive answer. -I hopefully should have a better answer today on if Kenneth Phillips and/or Jordan Jefferson are signing. If you missed it yesterday, Phillips says he is OK with grayshirting as he knows he won't be able to play this coming season. He is supposed to talk to Jimbo soon
  6. Kiffen will be a pain in the ass for the sec & especially aggy. From the Ole Miss site yesterday afternoon 4:00 p.m. I stayed and spoke to Chris Morris' father for about 30 minutes after all of the players had left but Chris. Very interesting story. His father, Melvin, played tailback for Hugh Freeze's first state championship at Briarcrest. He has five boys in high school right now. They all went to West Arkansas this season, but they are from Memphis. They all attended Memphis Freedom Prep last season. You must sit out a season if you transfer from a charter school to another school within that county (Shelby County), so they went to West Memphis. His youngest son, Tevin Carter, is a quarterback in 10th grade. Tevin is now 6' 3", 215 and has been offered by Florida, Tennessee, FSU, LSU, and plenty more. Ole Miss offered him last week. His second youngest, CB Tamarius Bell, is also a sophomore. He was offered by Ole Miss last week as well. He holds early offers from Baylor, Texas A&M, Arkansas and now Ole Miss. There are two more twin brothers that are in the 2021 class that play defensive end. Ole Miss has not offered either one yet. But all in all, three brothers hold offers from Ole Miss, wow! By the way, the father (Melvin) personally trains each kid. Melvin is in his early 30's and looks like he still plays football
  7. Hamm lite It is the final weekend before the Early Signing Period. That means it is a change for colleges to get the last shot at players that are signing early. Almost every Texas A&M commit and target plans to sign this coming Wednesday, so it is a big weekend for the Aggies. A&M will be hosting a trio of official visitors, with three of those being current commitments. The other is a four-star prospect from a neighboring state. Starting with the biggest visitor, the Aggies are working to hold off Florida from trying to flip national top-100 defensive end Donell Harris from Miami (Fla.) Gulliver Prep. The 6-foot-4, 220-pound defender committed to A&M last month, but said at the time he still plannned to take official visits. He was in Gainesville for an official this past weekend and Gator head coach Dan Mullen had his in-home visit on Wednesday. Harris, who has been to Aggieland twice before on unofficial visits, hosted Jimbo Fisher and Ishmael Aristide on Tuesday, though. The Aggies will get the final shot at Harris in a battle that in-state Florida has made close. He plans to announce his final decision on Wednesday and this weekend could go a long way toward making sure it will still be Texas A&M. The other two commits that will be in town on officials are solid in their pledges. Richland (N.J.) St. Augustine defensive tackle Isaiah Raikes committed to the Aggies over the summer and has remained firm since. He unofficially visited during the season, but saved his official for now. As an early enrollee, the 6-foot-0.5, 324-pound defender will move in next month and go through spring ball with the team. East St. Louis, Ill., four-star safety Antonio Johnson committed to Texas A&M in late September. However, with his team going on a long state championship run that just ended two weeks ago, he was unable to take an official during the season. The 6-foot-2, 180-pound defender will use his this weekend as well. There is a chance that, like Raikes, he will enroll in January as well. The final official visitor is a relatively new target. Covington, La., four-star linebacker Edgerrin Cooper had been a longtime Oklahoma pledge before decommitting late last month. Shortly before he opened things up, A&M extended an offer to the 6-foot-1.5, 210-pound defender. Cooper says he plans to wait until February to sign but, if things go well over the weekend and A&M pushes, it is not out of the question that he could make a decision and then sign next week. Mississippi State is currently the Aggies' biggest competition for him and he has yet to officially visit Starkville. In addition to the official visitors, there will be some commits in town on unofficials to hang out as well as help recruit. Five-star wide receiver Demond Demas is the leader of the class and will once again be in Aggieland. He made it to every home game this season. National top-50 cornerback Jaylon Jones will also be there, as well four-star offensive guard Akinola Ogunbiyi. In addition, Smyrna, Tenn., defensive tackle Dallas Walker is coming on an unofficial as well. That is big because he spent this past weekend on an official to Auburn, which was his third trip there in a month. The Tigers seemed to have momentum, so it's a big deal that he is coming to A&M on his own dime to simply hang out just before the signing period. Though there will be a number of visitors at A&M, a couple Aggie pledges will be elsewhere this weekend. Camden (N.J.) Woodrow Wilson four-star defensive end Fadil Diggs, the New Jersey Gatorade Player of the Year, has set up an official to Maryland. Mike Locksley is playing the distance factor but Fisher visiting Diggs on Tuesday and it still seems likely he signs with A&M. Four-star West Memphis, Ark., offensive lineman Chris Morris had planned to make a trip to Miami this weekend but canceled that midweek. He now is set to officially visit Ole Miss and new head coach Lane Kiffin instead. While it is never ideal to have a commit visit elsewhere late, it would be a surprise if he switched from his A&M pledge
  8. Wiltfong hasn't put in his CB just yet, but he did run to aggy board with this
  9. Brian PerroniSTAFF Posted on 5 mins, V I P, User Since 197 months ago, User Post Count: 0 5 minsVIP 197 months -In case you missed it last night, A&M defensive tackle commit Dallas Walker will be making his way to town this coming weekend on an unofficial visit. That is big news considering he is coming off an official to Auburn this past weekend and also had made two unofficial visits to Auburn in the past month. The Tigers are still pushing for him but I expect him to remain committed to A&M and sign with the Aggies next Wednesday. -Four-star St. Louis LB Antonio Doyle is set to announce his decision this coming Monday. Illinois is playing the distance card and has some support from some people around Doyle, but he really likes A&M. I believe the Aggies will win this one. -There are three A&M commits officially visiting this weekend – DT Isaiah Raikes, S Antonio Johnson and DE Donell Harris. In addition, uncommitted four-star LB Edgerrin Cooper from Louisiana is also an official visitor. Raikes and Johnson are locked into A&M and will help sway the other two. Harris got back from an official to Florida this past weekend and the Gators have him ahead of Morven Joseph as their final defensive end target. But, A&M gets the last visit just prior to Signing Day and there is a reason he committed to the Aggies in the first place. Look for Raikes to do a ton of recruiting with him. Johnson received a visit on Monday from Jimbo Fisher, Mike Elko and Ishmael Aristide. A&M is using Coach Ish in spot roles on the road and pulling other coaches off for the days he is out. He has also been down to South Florida this fall as well and is one of Harris’ main recruiters. Cooper recently decommitted from Oklahoma and is now looking for a new home. While he says he plans to wait until February to sign, it is not completely out of the question that he signs early if this coming weekend goes really well. -A&M will have a bunch of other commits in addition to Walker that will be in town on unofficial visits this coming weekend as well. Look for Demond Demas, Jaylon Jones, Akinola Ogunbiyi and a few others to be there recruiting for the Aggies. -After Darrell Dickey visited him for the second time in two weeks, A&M made an offer to Kilgore J.C. four-star WR Omar Manning on Monday evening. Manning is not signing until February, so A&M can wait and see what the numbers in the current class plus the attrition (transfers, NFL entrants) numbers look like before deciding whether to push. The one big concern is if he will be able to get out in May. Academics forced him from TCU to the JUCO route and are an issue. Also, TCU is a major player to get him back on campus and could be considered the current favorite. We will know more around the time after the bowl game as to if A&M will push. -North Shore five-star RB Zachary Evans is the talk of both the A&M and LSU fanbases, and for good reason. He is the nation’s top-ranked back and will be deciding between those two schools. Evans’ recruitment changes all the time and I always talk to a lot of people before putting out any kind of opinion on him. He was scheduled to commit last week and it was going to be for LSU. However, he agreed with the Under Armour game to announce there on Jan. 2 instead. He will likely still sign next week and then ask the school to keep it quiet, but he could also elect not to sign and just show up on campus at his school of choice in January. At this point, I still think it will be LSU. However, Fisher has yet to use his in-home visit with Evans and the running back making his way to Aggieland this past Sunday for an unofficial visit was not a bad thing at all. If A&M does not end up with Evans, they will likely get one of EJ Smith or Daniyel Ngata. -Though Fisher visited him last week and the Aggies feel good about keeping him in the fold, four-star West Memphis, Ark., offensive line commit Chris Morris is still set to officially visit Miami this coming weekend. I expect him to still sign with A&M next week, though. Four-star defensive end Fadil Diggs will be taking an official visit to Maryland this coming weekend but, like Morris, I believe he will end up an Aggie. Fisher was in South Jersey today to see both Raikes and Diggs. -There is not much new on 4-star Mississippi DT McKinnley Jackson. He is dominating so far at practices for the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Game. Jackson plans to wait until Signing Day in February to announce and still has three official visits left, including to A&M the weekend before Signing Day. -At cornerback, Dontae Manning is looking like he is headed to either Oregon or Georgia. JUCO CB Brian George is likely Auburn-bound. That leaves JUCO CB Ronald Williams as the main target. He is pretty much an A&M/Alabama battle and it is probably 50/50 between the two right now. He plans to decide after his upcoming official to Ole Miss this coming weekend. In case you missed it yesterday, one-time A&M commit Scooby Carter is still technically in the transfer portal, but is expected to remain at Alabama. -I still believe Texas offensive tackle transfer Javonne Shepherd will end up at A&M in January. There has been talk about him possibly remaining in Austin, but I’ve been told that is not likely at all. There has also been talk about him heading the junior college route, but I’ve been told he does not want to do that either

  11. Who will A&M sign? Breaking things down at every position VIP ByBRIAN PERRONI 17 minutes ago The Early Signing Period is coming up very quickly as it runs from Dec. 18-20. Texas A&M is looking to sign a full class this year and the Aggies will likely finish almost all of it during the early period. There are currently 21 commitments in the class, but not all of them are likely to sign with A&M. That means there is still room for some top targets as well as a potential transfer or two. That means the next couple weeks are likely to be busy ones as the Aggies look to land some targets and hold on to some others that opposing schools are still after. Here is a breakdown of where everything things in the class of 2020 with a little over two weeks until the Early Signing Period. QUARTERBACK Texas A&M has a commitment from national top-100 prospect Haynes King of Longview at quarterback. He chose the Aggies over Tennessee this past summer and will be enrolling in January. King is the lone quarterback A&M is taking in the class. RUNNING BACK A&M has two commitments at the running back position and could potentially add another. The most recent pledge was from Fort Bend Marshall four-star all-purpose back Devon Achane. The 5-foot-9, 170-pound senior will also run track at A&M and is a player the Aggies absolutely love. He will do a little bit of everything for the offense, including playing running back and also lining up in the slot at times. The speedster is also an elite returner. The other commitment came as a bit of a surprise over the summer in Deondre Jackson out of the Atlanta area. A onetime very early Auburn commit, the 5-foot-10.5, 205-pounder was offered by the Aggies late in the spring evaluation period and then officially visited not long after. He committed while on his visit and has remained solid since. He also returned for the game weekend against South Carolina on an unofficial. Jackson is a between-the-tackles type that can move the chains. The highest-ranked target left on the board is five-star Zachary Evans from North Shore. Once planning to commit to Georgia early in the season, he pushed things back and is now down to A&M and LSU. He plans to announce this coming Wednesday and, though he officially visited Aggieland for the South Carolina game, he is likely to choose the Tigers. You can bet that A&M will continue to work on him both before and after his announcement, though. The most likely other back to be in the class is four-star EJ Smith of Dallas Jesuit. Though he has also used official visits to Florida and Georgia, this one is an A&M vs. Stanford battle. The son of Hall of Famer Emmitt Smith has already used his official visit to Aggieland and was in Palo Alto this past weekend on an unofficial. Though he had a long flight delay, he and his family made it just before kickoff and the reports are that things went well. He has been accepted into Stanford and the Cardinal are working the academic angle. He does not have a set date to announce, but it will probably be in the near future. A&M was seen as the favorite prior to his Stanford trip, so it will be interesting to hear what he says going forward. The Aggies are also still in it for national top-100 all-purpose back Daniyel Ngata out of Folsom, Calif. Once close to committing to the Aggies after his official visit in the spring, he decided to push things back in order to officially visit both Arizona State and Oklahoma State this fall. After taking those, he was on the verge of a pledge to Oklahoma State. However, he pushed things back and will now be announcing in Dec. 21. He will sign with his school of choice prior to that and ask them to hold off from releasing it. A&M has remained in contact and could up things even more depending on where things stand with Evans and Smith. WIDE RECEIVER Texas A&M has a five-star commitment in Demond Demas from Tomball. He has been the vocal leader of the class, both publicly and privately, and was at every home game this year. Though he did take an official to Oklahoma last month and has mentioned possibly taking others, with Florida being a potential trip destination, it is very unlikely he ends up anywhere other than A&M. He is expected to sign in Dec. 18 and then will be at A&M in May. The Aggies landed four-star Muhsin Muhammad III from Charlotte, N.C. over the summer after he took two visits to College Station within a month. The son of the former NFL receiver of the same name, the 6-foot, 185-pounder will enroll at A&M in January. The third receiver commit is from much closer in A&M Consolidated’s Devin Price. The 6-foot-2.5, 205-pounder is both a big target and solid after the catch. The son of A&M defensive ends coach Terry Price, he will enroll in January as well. Texas A&M is done at the wide receiver position with those three in the boat. TIGHT END The Aggies have shown how much they plan to use the tight end under Jimbo Fisher and, after signing a pair of very good ones in the last class, were looking for at least one more in this class. In the spring, Southlake Carroll’s Blake Smith found himself being offered by some of the top schools from all over the country. The 6-foot-4, 247-pounder set his first official visit to A&M and committed before he left campus. Smith was mainly used as a blocker – in addition to being the backup quarterback – as a junior, but has shown to be a very good pass-catcher with his team 13-0 so far this season. The Aggies went after some other nationally-ranked tight ends but did not land any and Smith is likely to be the only one in the class. Combined with Jalen Wydermyer and Baylor Cupp, he will gave A&M three very good underclassmen at the position next season. OFFENSIVE LINE A&M’s highest-rated commitment on the offensive line was also its most recent. After making numerous trips to Aggieland over the past two years, national top-100 prospect Chris Morris out of West Memphis, Ark., used his official in mid-October. He committed to A&M later that week over offers from almost the entire SEC. Morris is a bit shorter than the prototypical tackle but has a long frame. A&M is recruiting him as both a tackle and a guard and will play him where he is needed the most once he arrives on campus in May. The other four-star offensive line commit is guard Akinola Ogunbiyi of Fort Bend Kempner. Once a very early pledge after taking an Uber from Sugar Land to College Station, he decommitted when Jim Turner left A&M for the NFL. After committing to Georgia in the summer, he made two under-the-radar trips to Aggieland and ended up switching back during the second one. He plans to sign this month and enroll in May. When Ogunbiyi committed to A&M the first time, he did so at the same time as Fort Bend Hightower guard and good friend Smart Chibuzo. The 6-foot-5, 330-pounder took some unofficial visits after that and had talked about taking some other officials, but ended up deciding against it. He will sign in December and enroll in May. Josh Bankhead of The Woodlands College Park made an unofficial visit to Aggieland the spring of his sophomore year. He was offered and committed on the spot and has been completely solid since. An outstanding run blocker who is very strong already, he will enroll at A&M early in January. Jordan Jefferson out of Navasota was the very first player in the class to commit anywhere he made a pledge to the Aggies in February of his freshman season. However, he is unlikely to sign with A&M as academics are an issue. The Aggies still have some other targets on the offensive line, but they won’t necessarily sign another one. Carthage four-star tackle Ty'kieast Crawford is one of the best in the country and decommitted from Arkansas after an official visit to Aggieland this fall. He has also been to LSU multiple times. However, academics are an issue and, with the signing limits causing schools to be very careful, it is not likely he signs. If he does, though, it will almost assuredly be in February as schools wait to see if his GPA and/or scores improve in that time. A&M will continue to recruit him in case things start to look better. Though he would not technically count as part of the class, offensive tackle Javonne Shepherd is likely to be a newcomer in the spring as well. A current true freshman at Texas, Shepherd was a four-star prospect in the 2019 class that was close to flipping to the Aggies at one point. He is now in the transfer portal and A&M is in very good shape to end up with him. Unless granted a waiver by the NCAA, he will have to sit out the 2020 season and then will be a sophomore in 2021. DEFENSIVE END Texas A&M landed four-star pass rusher Donell Harris out of Miami last month as he chose the Aggies over LSU and Florida. Once a member of the class of 2021, the national top-50 prospect reclassified over the summer. A&M had long been recruiting him and was in even better shape after he made that decision. Harris has not used any official visits yet but, even when committed, said he still planned to use some of them. He has tentatively set one up to Florida on Dec. 13 and, if he makes it, the Aggies will have to sweat out that trip. Still, though, the 6-foot-4, 210-pounder has made very strong relationships in Aggieland and it is going to be tough for the Gators to beat out A&M. A&M has another top out-of-state pass rusher in four-star Fadil Diggs out of Camden, N.J. The 6-foot-4, 240-pound defender chose the Aggies over Penn State back in May. Diggs has put up big numbers on defense as a senior, but has also starred at wide receiver. Though he is being recruited to Aggieland as a defensive lineman, it is not out of the question that he could get a shot at tight end. Diggs plans to sign with A&M in December and arrive in May. A longtime commitment in the class of 2019 was four-star Katy Taylor end Braedon Mowry. However, he did not sign with the Aggies as he was sorting out his academics. With those now being straightened out, Mowry plans to sign with A&M in December and enroll in January. He has been working out in Katy since last season to try and be ready to go despite having missed a season. A&M was the first school to offer Bastrop Cedar Creek four-star end Alfred Collins after his sophomore season. The 6-foot-6, 275-pound defender officially visited A&M in October and is still in contact with the Aggies, but a trio of Big 12 schools – Baylor, Oklahoma and Texas – are out in front of A&M and Alabama at this point. He is a Texas legacy, but Baylor has made a lot of noise in his recruitment as of late. Manor four-star strongside end Princely Umanmielen was an A&M before deciding to commit to nearby Texas over the summer. He recently opened things back up, though, and A&M has least been in contact. However, there likely will not be a spot. Baylor has the momentum with him at the moment but he also has an official visit set to Florida later this month. DEFENSIVE TACKLE In addition to Diggs, A&M also went into South Jersey to pick up a commitment from defensive tackle Isaiah Raikes. The 6-foot-0.5, 324-pounder also chose the Aggies over Penn State. A very athletic, quick interior prospect, Raikes also played a lot of running back for his high school team. He will sign in December and enroll at A&M in January. Like Mowry, four-star defensive tackle Josh Ellison was also a longtime commit in the 2019 class that did not sign with A&M last year. Unlike Mowry, the standout from A&M Consolidated decided to play junior college football as he waited to hear how his academic situation had sorted out from high school. He had a strong year at Blinn College and is again ranked as a four-star. Ellison should end up in Aggieland in January with three years of eligibility remaining. The Aggies also have a pledge from Dallas Walker out of Tennessee, who committed in late June following an official visit. Though a bit raw, the 6-foot-4, 315-pounder is very athletic and showed it by being a solid tight end for his high school as well. Walker has unofficially visited Auburn twice in the last month and is a big target of the Tigers. He says he will likely officially visit there as well. The Aggies want to hold onto him but, should he decide to head elsewhere, his spot will definitely be filled with a valued target at a position of need. Four-star McKinnley Jackson out of Lucedale, Miss., was a onetime very early LSU commit before opening things back up. The 6-foot-2, 327-pounder is now down to five schools – A&M, Alabama, Auburn, LSU and Ole Miss. He has already officially visited Alabama and will be at Auburn this coming weekend. He was at LSU on an unofficial this past weekend and has officials set up to A&M, LSU and Ole Miss for January. The Aggies are set to receive the final one before the February signing day. Jackson plans to announce his commitment that day, Feb. 5. It could come down to which of his finalists still have room in the class. A&M will know by then where it stands at each position and could have a good shot of landing him if the Aggies have room. National top-100 prospect Omari Thomas out of Nashville has been to Aggieland multiple times, including an official visit this fall. Originally ranked as an offensive lineman, A&M was one of the first to offer him on defense. Now, every school is doing so. Thomas is set to announce next Mon., Dec. 9. Right now, in-state Tennessee is the most likely destination. With all the coaching changes in Austin and the struggles on defense, A&M will at least check in with four-star Vernon Broughton from Houston Cy Ridge. He was down to the Aggies and Longhorns when he announced in the spring. However, he is set to enroll early in Austin and seems likely to still sign with Texas. LINEBACKER At this point, A&M only has one linebacker commit and he is actually being recruited more as a hybrid linebacker/safety. Kenneth Phillips III out of Fort Bend Bush was offered after a strong camp showing over the summer and he did not wait long to commit. The 5-foot-11.5, 205-pounder did a little bit of everything for Bush but was an all-district selection at safety as a senior. However, he tore three ligaments in his knee in the next-to-last game and had surgery that will sideline him for some time. Phillips still plans to end up at A&M and A&M still plans on that as well. However, since he is unlikely to be able to play next season, it is not out of the question that he will be asked to postpone his enrollment until next January. He could then count toward the 25-man limit in 2021 instead. The biggest target left is four-star Antonio Doyle out of St. Louis. Once a heavy A&M lean despite having never visited, the 6-foot-4, 230-pound defender made a surprise commitment to in-state Mizzou while on an official visit in the spring. However, he opened things back up in September. Doyle has now been to Aggieland and things are pretty much down to A&M and Illinois. The Illini have the distance factor in their favor and also played well late in the season, the finale vs. Northwestern this past weekend not withstanding, but A&M has been in good shape for some time. Illinois cannot be counted out, but the Aggies are the favorites to land him. He has said he plans to commit after the season and his team plays in the state championship this coming Friday. A&M made an interesting offer last month to four-star Oklahoma commit Edgerrin Cooper out of Louisiana. This past week, he decommitted from the Sooners and things are now up in the air. The 6-foot-1.5, 205-pound defender is expected to wait until February to sign as he re-evaluates his options. Should there be room, he will likely officially visit A&M in January. LSU is still in communication with the in-state prospect as well, but the Tigers are unlikely to have room. Unsigned defenders have proven to be popular in January each of the first two years of the Early Signing Period, so it’s a good bet that Cooper has a ton of schools after him. North Shore’s Matthew Roberts, who transferred in from Kansas this past summer, picked up an A&M offer over the summer. He has the Aggies out front, but there is not likely room in the class. His younger brother Jaeden Roberts is a big target as a four-star offensive lineman in the class of 2021 and a grayshirt for Matthew is not out of the question. CORNERBACK A&M picked up the highest-ranked defender in the state when five-star Cibolo Steele cornerback Jaylon Jones committed to the Aggies back in early February. The 6-foot-1.5, 190-pounder has remained solid ever since and will sign in December. He could also potentially end up at safety, but the Aggies see him as a difference-maker at cornerback. Jones had four interceptions for Steele as a senior. Over the summer, A&M had a number of cornerbacks that were leaning its way. With room for only one of those, the Aggies chose to go after four-star Joshuah Moten out of Maryland. He decommitted from Penn State just before making an official visit to Aggieland and committed to A&M not long after. He was recently back on an unofficial visit and plans to sign in December. The biggest high school target left is Dontae Manning out of Kansas City. While committed to Oklahoma at the time, the four-star officially visited the same weekend as Moten. He has since decommitted to the Sooners and the Aggies looked to be in good shape. However, both Georgia and Oregon have gained a lot of momentum. He was at Oregon a couple weeks ago on an official and plans to head to Georgia Dec. 13 for one. Manning has an announcement planned for the Under Armour All-American Game on Jan. 2 and A&M will be working on him until then. There is a chance he signs with his school of choice before that, though, and has them hold it until he announces. A&M wants immediate help at the cornerback spot and there are a pair of junior college targets. Four-star Brian George from Highland C.C. officially visited back in October. It went well and the Aggies are one of his top two choices. The other, though, is Auburn. The 6-foot-2, 190-pound defender was at Auburn for an unofficial for the Iron Bowl over the weekend and is set to be back on an official this coming weekend. This one will likely come down to the Aggies and Tigers with him set to sign early and enroll in January. The other main target is Ronald Williams out of Hutchinson C.C. Originally from Louisiana, the 6-foot-2, 188-pounder picked up a ton of offers this fall, including from A&M. He used an official visit to Aggieland as he was in town for the South Carolina game. Alabama is a big competitor for him and he was in Tuscaloosa for an official two weekends ago. He was at Mississippi State this past weekend and has one upcoming to Ole Miss. Williams will sign in December and enroll in January. Four-star Scooby Carter out of Mansfield Legacy was once an A&M commit in the class of 2019. However, he switched to Alabama while on an official visit and enrolled this past January. Now, though, Carter is in the transfer portal and A&M is one of the schools he is very interested in. Depending on how things shake out with the numbers after the Early Signing Period, he could potentially end up in Aggieland after all. Like Shepherd, he too would have to sit a year barring an NCAA waiver and would be a sophomore in 2021. SAFETY A&M had a strong haul at safety in the class of 2019, so it was not a huge need in the 2020 class. Still, A&M targeted a few and landed one of its top overall prospects at the position. In mid-September, four-star Antonio Johnson of East St. Louis, Ill., committed to the Aggies over Alabama and several other schools. A&M had made him a priority and the one-time Tennessee pledge had long been high on the Aggies as well. Johnson helped lead his team to a state championship over the weekend, playing both safety and wide receiver. He plans to sign with A&M in December and arrive in May. Johnson is likely the only safety that will end up in the class, but the Aggies did host four-star Michigan commit Jordan Morant out of New Jersey on an official visit earlier in the fall. He is still at least somewhat in communication, but there is not likely room even if he did want to switch from the Wolverines. He was in Ann Arbor this past weekend. Four-star Vito Tisdale out of Kentucky is another player the Aggies were once after pretty hard. However, he never ended up visiting. Tisdale will likely end up staying in state but, should he decide not to sign early and A&M ends up having room, he could at least be worth watching down the road
