Kendall should’ve ascended the throne to complete his arc… Shiv’s last-minute flip flop didn’t make much sense. I was getting so amped when the siblings were working as a team.
After sleeping on it, I’m at peace with the last episode. I think my negative gut reaction was just disappointment that Kendall’s narrative ended on such a somber note.

Knowing our luck, Milroe will pull a Joe Burrow and transform into a Heisman winning demi-god in the off-season

Well fuck me for trying to start a substantive discussion, I guess. Let me rename the categories and move Watts and Collins. I'll also throw Gbenda and Crawford in there.
Re: Ewers, I think he's a first round pick next year, but I didn't have him in the locks category because there are conceivable scenarios where he returns. What if he tears his ACL in the fall? Another year could significantly improve his grade. Spencer Rattler went from projected first overall to undrafted in a year, so it's always possible, hence my hedging. Worthy would be a case of improving stock, but again, I think he's 99% gone next year.
The third category was my bad. I meant guys that are seniors+, hence locks to go pro, but that they might not be drafted. I think Watts has his COVID year though.
Locks: Sweat, Ford, Jones, Barron, Collins, Sanders
Should be locksWill go pro barring disaster: Worthy, EwersI'd say locks but they might be UDFAOut of eligibility and probably UDFA: Robinson, Whittington, WattsTheoretically could happen: Murphy, Sorrell, Brooks, Crawford, Gbenda
I think they'll have eligibility and questionable pro prospects: Majors, Thompson
?s: Catalon, Mitchell, Holmes
Let's cool it on saying "Ewers" and "Torn ACL" in the same sentence, please. The only things I can see derailing the 2023 season are injuries and Big 12 ref fuckery.

Who’s our new head coach?
In this scenario, we would also need to play in a new conference. Because I can pretty much guarantee the Big 12 won’t let us win on the way out.

They do realize that the SEC has 4 more members than the Big 12, right? And they have 3 schools in the Sweet 16 vs. 2 schools for the Big 12… LOL.

Ronda it is -- thanks y'all! Sadly, Day 3 is our main opportunity to visit (we're tagging along with friends who are road tripping). Otherwise, we definitely would sacrifice a day in Granada instead... Oh well. Guess we're just gonna have to visit Sevilla again in the future haha!
-
Surly hive mind -- I've got 3 nights in Lyon coming up... Any suggestions on places to eat? Vinyards to visit? Day trips or things to see?
-
Headed to Spain in a few weeks. I've booked 3 nights in Sevilla, 3 nights in Granada and 3 nights in Madrid:
Day 1: Land in Sevilla (~9am)
Day 2: Sevilla (visit the Royal Alcazar)
Day 3: Sevilla (Ronda day trip?)
Day 4: Sevilla --> Cordoba for the day --> Granada for the night
Day 5: Granada (visit the Alhambra)
Day 6: Granada
Day 7: Granada --> Madrid
Day 8: Madrid
Day 9: Madrid
Day 10: Fly out of Madrid in the AM
For those who have been -- is it worth doing a day trip on Day 3 to see Ronda and some of the other white villages? We'll have access to a car in Sevilla (just for this portion of the trip, using high speed rail for the rest), but I've heard such great things about the city itself that I'm worried about sacrificing a day there (when our time is already limited). Also, wondering whether we should use one of the days in Madrid to see Toledo and El Escorial. Curious to hear y'alls thoughts!

That's why we pay them off. We literally have the money to buy ourselves a conference title.
The refs may be kinder to us if we beat Bama week 2 and have a legit shot at the playoff. Big 12 would want a cut of that revenue too.

How’s aggy going to get to .500 when they’re replacing their annual November UMass match up with us?

I wish TexAgs would get audited… I’m sure those guys run a tight ship.

Well, it’s been more than 24 hours. Texas and OU athletics still haven’t posted the schedule (other than the retweet) or updated their official websites to show 2023…

It’d be a shame to lose one of the least competitive annual match ups in the history of sports.

On yesterday's On3 livestream, Bobby described Mike Farrell as "the Skip Bayless of recruiting" after mentioning that he hired Farrell back in 2001.
Yeah, the IT guys don’t hide their disdain for Farrell. Gerry seems to have a borderline pathological hatred for Ketch as well (more than most).

Yeah, it's too bad we don't have a big hitter like App State on our home schedule this year.
Or UMass in November.

FYI — It’s been ~2 hours and neither Texas or OU Athletics have posted the schedule or updated their websites…
Every other Big 12 school has posted the schedule.

I bet the Big 12 will be able to round up ~3-4 Houston-based aggy grads to ref our match up with cougar high.
-
To anyone getting their hopes up, it’s naive to think Texas finishes top 2. The conference will 100% do whatever it takes to stop it. @Houston @ISU and @TCU will all be massive ref jobs.

This hurts my brain… Did they not watch Tech kick the shit out of Ole Miss? And Kansas go to 4 OTs with Arkansas? And K State beat the piss out of Missouri?
Their level of competition is no better than ours… We played Bama, 11 win UTSA and a full 9 game conference slate. They dodged Georgia and played UMass, Sam Houston, App State and Troy lol.

Well, Tom’s actor was also cast to play Mr. Darcy in Kierra Knightly’s Pride & Prejudice, so safe to say he’s conventionally attractive. Congrats!
