Yeah, losing to any of them will do $80 million or whatever more in brand damage than losing to Kansas, Iowa State, etc!

Fair, I was being hyperbolic. But prepare to be the laughingstock of college athletics when Sark loses to UCF on the road in primetime (as an example).

  2. It's an embarrassment that we have to share a conference with UCF, Cougar High, Cougar High (Mormon edition) and Cincinnati even for a year... The Big 12 will do whatever it takes to fuck us and OU in those match ups -- wins for the newcomers will legitimize their programs as P5. Damage the association will do to the Texas brand seems to outweigh whatever we'd pay to exit early.

To be fair, Mississippi is only in the top 15 because SEC SEC SEC. Look at who they’ve played. Texas would be top 15 too with that schedule.

Sark would still find a way to cruise to 6-6

Okie lite still celebrating their W over Horns…..I guess.

Odd that they haven’t been the beneficiary of any phantom flags yet. Guess last week was an anomaly.

Posted this on the WVU-TCU game thread, but certainly fits here too. TCU is going to be the conference’s chosen one this season. Expect most close calls and phantom calls to go their way. So fucking obvious. The number of penalties and yardage don’t really matter. You can see in this game that on big plays for WV there’s been an iffy call or non-call.

Yup, it’s glaringly obvious we won’t be given a fair shake when they come to DKR

I am also planning a 10 day Ireland trip next April. Was planning 2 days in Dublin , 3 in Galway , 3 in Killarney and 2 in cork. Is that too aggressive? Where would you modify?

That sounds fine, but I can’t speak to Cork! My wife and I flew in and out of Dublin (2 nights) then did Galway (2 nights), Dingle (2 nights) and Killarney (2 nights). Definitely aggressive, so if you’re older it might be a lot… In our opinion, Dingle and the Slea Head loop was the absolute highlight of the trip (more spectacular than the Ring of Kerry). So maybe take 1-2 days from Killarney or Cork for Dingle. Gap of Dunloe and Connemara were neat too.

  7. 100% rent the car. You’ll acclimate to driving on the left sooner than you’d think. Limit your time in Dublin (it’s not that great) and use Galway as a hub to explore Connemara, Aran Islands, Cliffs of Moher, etc. I would recommend adding Dingle to your list. It’s a quaint coastal town and is the starting point for the Slea Head Loop (incredible scenic drive). Consider Killarney as well for the Ring of Kerry.
