  1. McShan Florist ... For your expressions of looove.
  2. I'd call it a page on a website. Saying it was being "promoted" would suggest there was some kind of push by the university to drive traffic to that specific page.
  3. And then later said aggy would absolutely drop it if push came to shove, which is laughable. The sul ross statue thing showed us exactly what aggy would do. I heard that and I completely agree. Any donor emailing the AD talking that shit should be invited to fuck right off. Any donor that matters wouldn't be complaining via emails to the AD. I didn't catch that it was Brian Jones' stupid idea. I thought it was original musers stupidity. When it's being brought up in a negative light by t-shirt sooner trash, you're goddamn right.
  4. Both of them did. Dumbfuck said it and simple chimed in with an "oh yeah, in a heartbeat." Another good one was junior's suggestion that we keep the song, but that we ALL take a knee while it's being played.
  5. Yep, I also nearly lost control of my car when he suggested that aggy wouldn't hesitate to drop the war hymn if it was found to have a problematic past. The man is lightspeed stupid.
  6. I agree with you that it being on the official UT bio lends heft to the assertion. It's still a pretty flimsy reason to ban the song in my opinion.
  7. Well, I see the distinction you're making at least. I admit I've only skimmed this thread, but is there a direct quote from Prather in which he confirms that he lifted the saying from Lee?
  8. I see. I thought that the matter asserted was that the Eyes of Texas has ties to Robert E. Lee, and that you cited that statement as proof of same.
  9. "As a student, he reportedly heard Washington and Lee University President Robert E. Lee tell students ..." He reportedly heard. I'm no lawyer, but the above statement seems to be saying that someone heard that Prather heard Lee say something while Prather was a student at W&L. How exactly is that not hearsay? hear·say /ˈhirˌsā/ noun 1. information received from other people that one cannot adequately substantiate; rumor. 2. the report of another person's words by a witness, which is usually disallowed as evidence in a court of law.
  10. I have no problem believing that someone in the AD office informed Overshown that this university and its traditions are very dear to the hearts of a great many people, and that shitting on those traditions will close a lot of doors for him.
  11. Every time Junior uses the word "pandy" I want to reach into the radio and choke him out.
  12. If that doesn't do it for you, then mix in a little "I don't give a fuck." I'm telling you, it works.
  13. I think I've heard it referred to as "not clicking on the thread." It is apparently very effective.
  14. This would have been not good. I couldn't care less about her tweet history, but she is extremely bad at the whole acting thing.
  15. They're gonna need a lot more beskar for that suit.
  16. There are some seriously miserable people in this thread.
  17. I want you to know … I will never want that wagon wheel coffee table.
  18. Dude, he clearly broke stride. You should change your name to Donny, because you're out of your element.
