  1. They wanted to, but then they wouldn't have had room for true classics like MMM'Bop.

    The Wire

If you're saying that Halloween 3 was the best of the Halloween movies, then yes, Season 2 of The Wire was basically like Halloween 3. I'd say that season 5 was closer to Halloween 3.
  3. He's only got about 30 alts that he uses to give himself pos rep. He never left.
  4. They're not too keen on people pointing out that Biden is a horrible candidate.
  5. That's pretty much what happened. Mike's first appearance in BB was when he went over to Jesse's to clean up after Jane OD'd. Saul was supposed to do that, but Odenkirk was doing a guest spot on How I Met Your Mother and wasn't available, so Jonathan Banks got the call.
  6. In the interest of time I'll be conciliatory and cede the argument. Fine. They're both equally brain dead. I'm not interested in replacing zombie Trump with zombie Biden. As I've said, replace Biden on the ticket and I'm interested.
  7. I'm just not into hating people. The only one affected by hate is the hater. The object of your hatred couldn't give less of a fuck. As things stand now I will vote for him in November. I'll re-evaluate when the Democrats replace Biden, because that's going to happen between now and November if the DNC is serious about winning. Until I see Trump disappear from view for a week or wander off camera muttering nonsense during a streamed Town Hall or just flat out stop talking and stare into the camera until his wife comes out to snap him back into reality or stumble over the preamble because he can't remember who it was that endowed us with certain unalienable rights, I'm going to have to disagree with you here. Here are some words I never thought I'd type: Y'all should listen to bad_teammate on this one.
  8. Touche. I'm not a "Trump" guy per se. He makes me embarrassed to be a Republican. I give off the appearance of a casual observer because I do not hate the man as most in here do. Whatever else I think about him, he's the dude in the chair right now. I'd be happy to consider voting for a Democrat in November, but not for Joe Biden in his present state. Joe Biden ten years ago? Bring it on. Sadly, that man is gone. The Democrats need to replace him on the ticket, and the sooner the better. (1) in the middle of a crisis that even the most staunch Republicans I talk to agree he has bungled from the very beginning. I'm perfectly willing to believe you when you tell me that he's toast in November, but when the highest of his approval numbers is for his handling of the pandemic (saw one article that had it at 60%), which all agree he bungled from the very beginning, then I don't know what else to think.
  9. Yikes. It's a good explanation for something that would otherwise be inexplicable.
  10. I have an uncle who has long subscribed to the conspiratorial belief that we are really a one-party state and the Republican/Democrat dichotomy is an illusion maintained by the powers-that-be to keep us all trusting in the system.
  11. Your childish smarm notwithstanding, nothing you typed changes the fact that his approvals are climbing. Anything but "horrendus" when you compare them to where they SHOULD be.
  12. ABC/Ipsos poll from last Friday. A week old I know, but I haven't seen anything showing the numbers going down. An article in USA Today from this morning also reporting numbers going up.
  13. Not a good analogy. 1. He was going up against probably one of the greatest pure politicians you or I will see in our lifetimes. 2. Six words: "Read my lips. No new taxes."
  14. Likely true, but the polling is specific to what people think of Trump. There's no reason at all those numbers should be going anywhere but down.
  15. Perhaps, but his approval ratings are ticking up, not down. I'm sure that also doesn't necessarily translate to November, but it's noteworthy at the least. I would also add that Joe Biden's current condition isn't helping. The Democrats are screwing up by sticking with him.
  16. The CR is a tough room. Either get fully on board the hate train, or go fuck yourself Trumpkin. ETA: I appreciate what you've had to say in this thread. Thank you.
  17. I don't believe the usual 'bad economy = electoral defeat for the incumbent' is going to apply here. The economic woes being tied to the pandemic response are providing cover.
  18. This comment made me think of Veep. Kim is in a fuck fog. Or as Minna Hakkinen would call it, the fever of the sausage.
  19. Yeah, we all agree that was a stupid word to use. Please don't take my defense as full-throated support for the man. He's a piece of shit and I wish SOOOOO hard that he'd act like a motherfucking President and knock off the childish tweeting. But, he's not going to, and being a raging, unpresidential asshole is not enough to make me support the present-day Joe Biden. Maybe 2008 Joe Biden, but that man is gone. We'll see what the landscape looks like when Biden is replaced on the ticket.
  20. Cool as a cucumber in a bowl of hot sauce. If you're sincere, then I thank you sincerely. Pos rep back atcha.
  21. I was about give an incredulous 'are you fucking kidding me' response but then I read your post a second time. I was also going to reply that I didn't say "Dem politicians" but I realize I used the word Democrats with a capital D several times, and that's my error. I was speaking of democrats, lower case "D," meaning the talking heads on TV, the print media, and of course all you fine anti-Trump denizens of the CR and other fellow travelers inhabiting this forum's equivalent on other websites from sea to shining sea. I fucked that up, derailed from the original point I was trying to make, and so I'll own that. I also didn't say you were "supposed" to do anything at all. When something he says causes a stink, no member of the media on either end of the spectrum is going to present that without a positive or negative spin, so it seems to me that it's just a good idea to listen to the quote directly from his lips. All that said, I stand by my original assertion. Trump did not call Covid-19, the coronavirus itself, a hoax.
  22. Dude, no one disputes he's an idiot. He stopped travel to/from Wuhan. Xenophobic and racist. He closed the borders. Xenophobic and racist. Stopped travel to the EU. Xenophobic and racist. Those responses, were over the top politicized bullshit. Hoax was the wrong word. Again, he's an idiot. Desperately? Like my life depends on it or something? Thanks for that. It's good to laugh a little in these trying times.
  23. I said hoax was a stupid word to use. Bullshit was more correct. What qualified as bullshit? Calling him out for not doing enough, and then turning around and calling him out for shutting travel to Wuhan, to the EU, closing the borders, etc. All of those moves were the work of a xenophobic racist fuckhead, according to the Democrats. That was politically motivated bullshit. Point is, he never called the virus itself a hoax.
