  1. This is one of the guys I totally expected not to believe the report. He is very dug in and accepting the report would be admitting he is wrong. BTW he totally cares if the song stays or go as he has planted his flag on this issue regardless of facts.
  2. that was his stand out stat. My rough judge by looking at probably 25-30 PBRs being conducted in the last 2 mos has that in the top 5%. The FB speed is slightly above avg (maybe top 30%) and foot speed below (bottom 30%). We are going to work hard on that.
  3. You mean the countless people saying do a report, get alumni and athletes to then educate students, athletes and the public about it in a strong marketing campaign? Those people?
  4. there will definitely be a segment because they were wrong but don't ever want to admit it dig their feet in but hopefully going forward this issue will now go away.
  5. yep, I have been looking at the other PBRs of 2024's in the state. That's essentially why he did it.
  6. 1st PBR in the books. He did pretty good for a 2024 kid. He has some work to do on speed. 91 EV, 78 mph FB, 78 IF Velo, 7.95 60 time. He also just made varsity as a freshman (the only one to make it). Proud of the kid.
  7. can't help people who bury their head in the sand when facts slap them upside the face. it's exactly what most of us have been saying. it was performed at a minstrel show as have been countless song not considered racist but the song itself was not racist. those are the facts so fact deniers can be upset all they want but the song isn't racist. this report and hopefully the marketing around it will change some of their minds. that committee couldn't be anymore diverse BTW.
  8. Fucking asshat misquotes a report about facts. The tone of all his coverage has been for getting rid of EOT so not shocking the misquote fits his agenda.
  9. Actually I don't think black people have a problem with the anthem but more trying to bring awareness to police brutality (mostly). They don't think it's a racist song.
  10. You know the star spangled banner has been sung by racists throughout it's history. Probably need to cancel it. In fact, when originally written it was sung to celebrate a country full of slaves. It was the national anthem of a country with slavery.
  11. If you discount everything someone who may or was racist creating you'd be canceling a lot of stuff.
  12. this is true. they should've been all over this and most universities would. it has been very odd. leadership is either totally incompetent or there is an agenda. i also don't believe it's too late. people said that earlier and it went away. if they can get a strong marketing effort pushed by former legendary players young and old to educate students and athletes on the song and what it means to them and it's true history then this can still go away like before. there is very little support for this by former athletes or alumni so that's why i believe it can be "fixed".
  13. it is if you're offended by something not based on reality. there is a difference. just because someone is offended by something doesn't mean we have to view what they're offended by as offensive.
