  1. I'd argue any US administration is is a nexus for O&G dynamics. I'll give my viewpoints of how the current admin has influenced the global dynamics of the oil and gas industry without jumping into if I think the admin right or wrong. We are the largest exporter of refined products in the world. Our domestic policy on refining has a global impact. The current admin has publicly stated they are considering a refined export products ban. This will cause refiners to not invest domestically. The administration has had one oil lease sale since they have been in office. The lease sale ended up being stopped in court afterwards. There is drillable land available that the administration through the BOEM controls. The administration has made the choice to not put up more land to be leased. SPR release. The government is releasing a million barrels a day in an extremely tight market. I was really pissed too when Trump made the comment about the Saudis. I do not think Trump was perfect or great for the industry by any means. The administration was not behind the price swing at the bottom. It was a delivery issue. There was no available storage for oil due the supply dynamics at the time.
  2. The reality is energy is a political issue and nothing Porterhouse has said is wrong. Who do you believe is to blame then?
  3. Anyone have any recs for the locations for cheapest wax cup beers this year?
  4. I will be there with a couple guests.
  5. He finishes his suspension after the OU game right?
  6. @immamac Is Lee Harvey's Happy Hour happening this Friday?
  7. This works out great for me. I was planning on skipping Saturday ACL if this was a night game.
  8. I'm going to the game for the first time with non-student seats. (Graduated a year ago) I typically would go into the stadium around 10 am to make sure no one stole my seat. What time do yall recommend getting in line to go in for Upper Deck seats? I want to catch the bands before the game and players coming onto the field.
  9. I typically call an uber to snarfs sandwiches. Uber will route the driver around the gameday traffic. I don't have any advice on parking because I typically uber from the hotel.

  11. I was watching Josh Pate this morning. I forgot WV played on Thursday last week. Our defense was on the field for over 100 plays last week. This does not play well into our hands

  14. I walked in last game too. I showed my phone and they waved me through. I didn't scan my ticket at the ULM game either. The people in front of me were confused how to show their tickets. I just walked past them and no one stopped me.
  15. Pro-tip the ticket scanners aren't paying that close attention. I typically stuff a beer in each of my pockets and take my phone, wallet, and keys before I get close to scanning my ticket. I don't have a problem with paying for beer at the game, but I don't want to wait 30 min in line to get one.
  16. I saw that ULM was above us on the chart and assumed it wasn't predictive
  17. My old roommate who went to Tech called me right when they went up 56-41 to talk shit. All I said was "it ain't over yet", laughed, and hung up the phone. I refused to believe we were going to lose to Tech. I made sure to phone him as soon as the game ended.
  18. Can't believe no one posted this masterpiece yet
  19. Seems like normal conversation between two bros.

  22. https://www.nytimes.com/2022/09/07/world/europe/biden-will-not-designate-russia-a-state-sponsor-of-terrorism.html No CR but the Biden admin has said “This designation could have unintended consequences to Ukraine and the world." which makes me think they are concerned about crude and other prices will react if the Russians are truly shut off from the world. If the Russians are no longer able to market crude to India and China, we very quickly return to a +$110 price environment on crude oil which doesn't play well into the admins hands with gas prices and heating right before the election in Nov. (Sorry this is probably CR material but that's my take working in the commodities side of the industry)
