  1. ECBP B120 Review Nose: this is fascinating. I’m getting a lot of notes reminiscent of GTS. There’s an undeniable oak presence but it’s not dominating (like 2017 GTS) and is quite pleasant. Strong graham cracker. Bit of roasted peanut (typically a palate trait of HH). Touch of light molasses and honeysuckle. Getting also some cornbread stuffing. Alcohol subdued even on a fresh pour. Completely gone after 10-15 mins. 4.5 Taste/Finish: This is tannic. The oak notes are there. As is saddle leather. But it’s a touch more bitter than the nose implies. Like a caramel brûlée that was scorched. Wants to be sweeter, but the toast on the sugar takes over. There’s oodles of peppercorn on the back of the tongue. It’s viscous but not terribly oily. Good coat. Burn is light down the pipe. As the tannins and pepper fades, it gives way to that sweetness that was lurking under the surface. And a hint of pipe tobacco. Incredibly complex finish for an ECBP. Lingers for hours. Lots going on here but there’s something just fails to connect all the dots - complexity is good, but complexity and harmony can coexist. 4 Overall this is a damn fine pour and probably one of the better ECBPs I’ve had since Batch 1. Definitely recommend you grab one at retail if you can. Anything under $80 - probably worth it.
  2. With all due respect (I know you enjoy great bourbon), that’s like saying every batch of George T Stagg is the same. It’s simply not true.
  3. Oddly, just got one at my store. Pretty late for a summer release. Well, as good as A120 is - B520 wins. It’s sublime. The lower proof helps in so many ways to showcase what this bourbon is all about.
  4. You too?
  5. And doctors. But all bang 10s.
  6. If KSt does their job, CDC’s job will be made easier.
  7. Not cheeseburgers
  8. Is there any logic to UM actually coming to Austin last night to join his wife (if she’s actually here) to scope real estate and PERHAPS check into football facilities for due diligence? Maybe I’m reaching.
  9. Less passive aggressive than outright aggressive.
  10. I sure hope that plane picked up MM, BMD and Top Brass and a fucking leprechaun if need be and flew that plane out to LA to have dinner with UM Saturday. And that it’s coming back with one more passenger who wants to have a nice Texmex breakfast with his wife in Austin before the most exciting presser this university has ever seen. And I hope the leprechaun blows UM on stage and promises him a NC along with his $60 million in gold. Hell, I’d piss on a spark plug if I thought it would make a difference.
  11. I just took a shit and it bares a striking resemblance to Urban Meyer. It is done.
  12. Probably not coaching. I’m sure its just lack of talent. State population vs current NFL roster players - since 2005 (every state with a MNC) State/POP(mm)/NFL Texas/25/209 Florida/18.8/281 Ohio/11.5/105 . . . Alabama/4.8/84 South C/4.6/53 Louisiana/4.5/90 So the last three MNC winners have a combined 217 players on NFL rosters and have a total population of just under 14 million people. Little over half the population of Texas with the same number of current NFL rostered players. Hmmmmmmm. Nevermind the fact that this is only where the players were born, not where they went to college. I’d bet Texas looks even worse under that filter.
  13. I just want a little of that Alabama tradition. Probably the greatest tradition in college football. Winning.
  14. Stoops? Eddie, I wouldn’t be more surprised if I woke up with my head sewn to the carpet.
  15. Sources close to the situation have said this is the fallback plan. Along with this guy as the play caller.
  16. You can also tell a good deal about our alumni from a political thread on Surly. For instance, it becomes quite apparent: Who graduated with As Who graduated (me) Who didn’t graduate Who never attended
  17. There have been fewer Covid deaths this year than grammatical mistakes. Why aren’t we up in arms about grammar misuse?!!!
  18. There have been less than 30 deaths to date here in Harris County. It’s not the big deal everyone is making it out to be. https://bing.com/covid/local/harris_georgia_unitedstates
  19. I miss the quart. For when a fifth just isn’t quite enough but you aren’t a half gallon level degenerate.
  20. At least there’s only one Iota.
  21. Thanks man!
  22. Thanks man!
  23. They expanded the market for 2020. But not to Texas sadly.
