  1. Bobby Burton loves UT-Austin. BBA 1992 I'm the dumb bitch motherfucker of an alumnus that you hate with a passion. I do everything within my bowels to fuck UT-Austin at the Rag paper. My wife won't touch me, so it's the only way I can get the attention I rightfully deserve.
  2. Looks like aglife is bitter the truth has been exposed: they are an also-ran no matter the results. A third tier program for 100+ years and nothing is changing. Love the tears. Oh, hi bitch.
  3. What if the cookie monster gets fired next year and one of the greatest recruiters of all time becomes the defensive line coach for Sark after Dark? Can you IMAGINE IT?! The spit on that microphone? Which poor ass surly is gonna get that job, cleaning that mic for $8 per hour? We'd have to rehire SALLY TO MAKE COOKIES!! OMG!!! Old times with even better recruiting!!! LHN could get real commercials!
  4. If 12 schools, you need at least 3 bluebloods and very little deadweight at the bottom. Deadweight can be one or more of the following: small fanbase, recruiting limitations, lack of media and/or recruiting footprint A balanced league has some combo of bluebloods, large fan bases (not always bluebloods), great recruiting territory within the footprint and, hopefully, at least half the teams as strong top 10 or top 15 recruiting rankings on a typical year. Teams that have underrated recruiting within their state are good as well. Wisconsin is a good example. Utah is actually a good example of a growing fan base with a good, underrated recruiting base within the state borders. 1. USC 2. OU 3. Texas 4. Oregon 5. Washington 6. UCLA 7. Oklahoma State 8. Arizona State 9. Utah 10. Texas Tech 11. Colorado 12. Nebraska OR Kansas State OR Iowa State OR Arizona First 10 or easy IMO Both Arizona schools is a lot of deadweight. Try to get USC, who has hated the PAC for decades, to breakaway and you can cherry pick. If not, then take both Arizona schools in order to bust open the conference. Utah isn't a top priority, but has more potential than given credit for in this thread. They are new to the P5 and can't add on to their stadium fast enough. Sellout every game. They will probably have a 60k-65K seat stadium within the next 10 years. Colorado sucks. Admittedly put them in to connect the states, which isn't necessary.
  5. A video my Mom took of me when this thread started: A picture my wife just took of me:
  6. More Kai Jones and Greg Brown please. G Matt Coleman G Andrew Jones G Courtney Ramey F Greg Brown F Kai Jones That's a top 10, and maybe top 5, starting lineup in college basketball IMO. I'm not sure if the bench has enough offensive firepower, but this SHOULD be a very good basketball team. I'd like to see how much Williams has improved. He could be needed later on. A tall guard can be a lifesaver in certain matchups. I think this team has the capability to go with a 3 forward lineup in certain matchups, when you consider Brown and Kai can both play on the perimeter.
  7. Sorry, don't usually like to post opinions much but... And pardon the grammar etc in advance. On my phone and hate typing from it Campbell had more offensive talent than Texas this year, yes. You can't just look at fake recruiting rankings. You also have to take into account the kids at Texas have significantly more pressure on them than Iowa State, so you need better coaches and players by a significant margin. If you go into a game with only a slight advantage in talent against a run of the mill program at a place like Texas, there's a decent chance you are going to get beat. Mack Brown and Charlie Strong put this place in a hole. Strong was an awful recruiter. Herman hasn't been a great recruit, but has at least evaluated talent at a decent level. IOWA STATE OFFENSE Campbell's QB is more talented (most talented in the conference). His running back is a stud. Frankly, it is easier to find offensive linemen in the Midwest. He has an absolute stud tight end. His defense is good, although not more talented than Texas. Feel like his offensive scheme is a little outdated. Purdy underperformed there. Campbell is a slight upgrade, and he may succeed because he takes over a better situation than Herman, but he's not all that much better than Herman. Texas must give Urban Meyer whatever he needs to take the job and be successful. He is right there for the taking. It is what a true blueblood program gets done in this situation. Right place, right time. No excuse whatsoever. We not only need better coaching, especially more consistent offensive coaching YOY, but we must land more 5 star talent. A class full of the 200th rated players isn't gonna cut it. Class ranking is less important than the top 10 players in your class being difference makers and bottom ten of your class being well evaluated. I don't even care where the bottom ten is ranked by the fake recruiting services. The 1,000th ranked player can easily be better than the 200th ranked player. The only thing worth looking at "rankings" for are the 5 stars who also have the size and speed (not Sterns) and the top 100. On top of that, it is evaluation and how much size and speed did you recruit in the class? The rest is just filler to try and get you to pay $9.95.
  8. Kurt Bowels said he confirmed with 2 administration sources that urban said no. That's the best, solid evidence that Urban will indeed be the coach at Texas in 2021. Please @ me if you are going to copy and paste
  9. I would think so, yes. But you would have to request them and then wait a long time for tOSU to release them to you.
  10. This is what I was saying above. No one knows the true exit agreement between Urban and tOSU when he retired. That was a messy exit. He may have agreed not to poach coaches before the end of the season for a certain period of time (2 years or whatever) in exchange for a lump sum, the ability to retire on his own terms and an easy $100k+ per year for an empty office job
  11. How do you know he didn't get a lump sum of part of his contract as head coach of tOSU for stepping down? Did anyone ever check into his "retirement" and what all was involved? He could have made a deal like TexasEx mentions because of the situation surrounding his exit.
  12. Damn! Just logged on this morning thinking something had actually happened.
  13. I am convinced Tyrone Swoopes would have been a better quarterback than Vince Young.... ...if he had Justin Tucker and Michael Dickson on his team
  14. Cliff Notes: According to multiple sauces, Urban Frank Meyer, III will be named the 31st head football coach in the history of Texas. Look for it to be announced in the coming years. Stay tuned. Multiple sauced info from:
