  1. It be cool if there was a fault line near Waco so that every morning I can wake up and think maybe today’s the day that the earth swallows this AIDS ridden hell hole up
  2. Wait. Favorite skit has to be van down by the river. Can’t believe I forgot that one.
  3. Don’t know how to link it because I’m an old, but I’m enjoying Conan’s podcast reverence for Norm. Talks about a lot of the clips we’ve posted on here. Nice because Conan’s is obviously able to really pin down what made his talents special better than us.
  4. Holy shit in regards to how perfect these impressions are
  5. What biting and subtle commentary. I’ve got a great idea for a cartoon like this. Two kids playing football with each other. One says to the other I don’t think the independence party in Botswana is going to achieve majority rule under the current slate of candidates. And the other one while running a hook route says that’s due to loss of support in the eastern part of the country especially with 18 to 29-year-olds.
  6. Think about how off the rails you have to be about your beliefs if they lead you to conclude the Pope is not Christian. And it gets star after star. Is Aggy just some fundy evangelical school now?
  7. That was my gut reaction. I obviously don't know the actual protocols to set up one of these calls and who has to be clued in to it, but the act of calling the other side to tell them we aren't up to anything nefarious I understand happened all the time through the Cold War from the stuff I've read. I'm sure it is common still.
  8. Favorite cast member: Probably Norm, followed by Spade, Farley, Sandler, Will Ferrell. Least favorite cast member: Anyone that appeared when I wasn't about 11-17. Underrated cast member: Overrated cast member: Jimmy Fallon, Andy Samberg Best cast: Worst cast: Best host: Manning for giving it his all as a non-actor. Worst host: Best skit: Lay off me I'm starving, Schlitt's Gay, Buh Bye, Unfrozen Caveman Lawyer. Peak time period: Rock bottom:
  9. been thinking a lot of andy kaufman's cancer with relation to this, and wondered if norm's thoughts on kaufman influenced his total silence on his sickness. then i saw something (maybe on this thread) where he describes himself as a low rent kaufman. i don't know. thought that was interesting.
  10. Ivermectin miracle drug.
  11. But also because of that.
  12. Seriously with the Peter principle throughout all these. Think someone is capable of knowing they aren’t capable of do diligence when they call it do diligence?
  13. Those jokes are the best part of his podcast. When they transitioned to the Netflix show they cut it down to just two or three jokes. You really need to have a long string of them make it work
  14. These numbers have to mean we are about to the end of this right?
  15. lulz. the single smallest number on this whole chart is uninsured republicans. those that are absolutely going to be bankrupted by their stay in hospitals.
  16. The comedy central roast honestly made me think less of the members of the crowd. There was all this tepid laughter and what sounds like charity, polite chuckling. Meanwhile I have tears streaming down my face and think it’s may be the funniest set I’ve ever seen in my life. Why isn’t everyone dying?!
  17. curious about the racial breakdown of FAFO award winners. looking at r/hermancainawards, they are all 40 year old white folks. kind of interesting that the people most concerned with the browning of america are going to be responsible for hastening that change through their own elimination.
  18. please explain.
  19. yeah, that heckler chose poorly.
  20. Given that it was nine years, it really makes you reevaluate so much at the end of his career. his tearful farewell to Letterman, his most important mentor, happened within that window. You have to figure that’s a lot of what drove that emotional farewell.
  21. The Constitution isn’t a suicide pact — some SCOTUS guy. If making sure we spell out the requirement to be deliberate and circumspect when dealing with the use of world-ending arms in the hands of a rapidly deteriorating geriatric is some huge violation of law, it’s the law that is wrong.
  22. Freaking Trudeau even giving a tribute
