  1. I believe "truck nuts" is the preferred nomenclature.
  2. Weather is mostly an issue for old people, and why I live half the year up here in OR.
  3. lol: Harvey Schiller, the SEC commissioner from 1986 to 1989, told ESPN last month that Texas would have been part of the SEC's first wave of expansion, along with Arkansas, in 1992 had it not been for the Texas state legislature mandating that the SEC also add Texas A&M if it were to bring the Longhorns aboard... Asked if Texas joining the SEC was a done deal had the politicians not gotten involved, Schiller said emphatically, "The answer is yes. The conference wanted it. Texas wanted it." Schiller said the SEC wasn't as interested in Texas A&M at the time and that A&M officials also had some issues with a move to the SEC. "Interestingly enough, Texas A&M ended up being the first of the two schools [in Texas] to join the SEC in 2012," Schiller said. "Now, some 30 years later, I guess they finally got it right."
  4. Dude gives drugs a bad name.
  5. Ever since they filled in the San Jacinto River bottom / flood zone with sand so they could build more tuff shed outlets.
  6. Love Simon's film, especially how he remains straight downfield while pushing guys away and making them miss. Sort of like Earl.
  7. I take full responsibility with my clearly subpar take. Will post less.
  8. Technically, sure. My point is obvious style changes, totally different planes. Mechanical tweaks, to me, are everything from footwork to rotation to pointing your elbow more etc. Not going from Quinn Ewers to Drew Brees.
  9. I didn't see anything changed, looked exactly the same to me. But I ain't no QB whisperer. I'm not talking about mechanical tweaks, I'm talking about changing the way someone throws, a different style.
  10. Who said throwing mechanics don't matter? Would you change's Quinn motion to over the top because his passes get batted down? Probably, and you'd fuck him up.
  11. I always laugh at the changing the throwing motion bullshit. How many big players have totally changed their throwing motion and made a leap? Reminds me of my best friend growing up, who was the number one junior golfer in America. He went to the best college golf program at the time and they changed his swing and he never recovered. You don't grow up your whole life throwing a ball one way then change it and improve.
  12. Who's much higher than Savea and Norton? Were they not two of the top DT transfer candidates out there?
  13. I was sitting with friends who weren't Texas fans in the end zone section at the Michigan Rose Bowl game when Vince dropped back and a hole suddenly developed in the middle of the line. "Touchdown," I said without thinking, because it was inevitable. My buddies lost their minds, thinking I could predict the future, when Vince sprinted through and scored a second later.
  14. What Worthy gives them is lightening quick little dog in the slot who can also blow the top off the defense. His toughness sets him apart as much as his speed. Going to be fun.
  15. Kid sounds super-sharp. This Oiler fan may have to give a shit about Houston football again
  16. He wouldn't have been among them, but he will next year.
  17. It's probably smart to the egg heads, seeing their draft picks increase, but dumb to anyone smart enough to see Worthy scoring touchdowns on them over and over again for years on end -- which is delicious, because fuck the Bills.
  18. From the peanut gallery Brooks seems to have blamed the coaches for not being our number one corner instead of the other talent at his position, so he bailed instead of upping his game.
  19. Maybe the gloves sucked and he was fucking over some little kid. Better way to look at it.
  20. I like the mythical element. His father Cooper was the eldest son, and some say the most talented, but fate struck him down. Arch the Avenger.
  21. Mine was from Pennsylvania, because nobody knew what a Pennsylvania license was suppose to look like. Worked for years, until a cop took it in the back of a paddy wagon on 6th street, but that's another story.
