  1. I'm thinking its a genuine lack of misunderstanding, which would mean I understand. Actually I don't. Everyone keeps talking about head to head and strength of schedule and I honestly thought there was / must be something written down that says these things are considered. You're saying there's no stated criteria?
  2. Listen dumass, idiot, moran, if we win these next two convincingly, especially if one of them is OU, we should get in over the fucking ducks because they're fucking ducks and stupid, and if we don't, I'm going full Aaron Rodgers.
  3. Of course style point matter, but they don't replace (or shouldn't) stated criteria
  4. Because they've looked better for the most part and have a Heisman candidate QB. Now that Quinn is back and we took care of ISU on the road that could start to shift in our favor. A couple more strong showings and our SOS will be hard to compete with. Also, we have the eyeballs.
  5. I think Whitt will play on Sundays. Reliable slot guy, tackle breaker, character champ.
  6. The way he plants and pivots to get that sack at 700 pounds must have scouts climaxing.
  7. Sweat's a great reminder to be patient with these big boys. He fumbled around, not looking like it would come together, until it did. Now he's in Casey Hampton-land. Love it.
  8. When I was 10 I went to a game in the Dome and got there early and went down behind the end zone where they were warming up. Earl was catching passes and missed one (no surprise, ha) and it bounced up to me in the stands. I totally froze, holding the ball, looking at Earl, and he pretended not to know where the ball went and turned back to get another one. I wore that thing out playing street and golf-course ball my whole childhood.
  9. Fair enough. I think the world works differently. I hope we find out.
  10. I gotcha. I appreciate the answer. It may be true. Seems to be an emotional argument over their very own criteria though.
  11. So you're on the committee and tasked with defending one loss Alabama and the other guy one loss Texas. He says we beat you on the road and have strong SOS, and you say "SEC?" Or you're defending one loss Georgia who didn't win their conference, against Texas who beat your conference champion and have strong SOS, and you say "SEC?" That's it?
  12. I'm just looking for arguments that counter our head to head on their home turf. Seems pretty hard to overcome when the rubber hits the road. Even if we struggle through our next three and they kick Georgia's ass, it still seems like a tough sell, but who knows where the narrative momentum will go. SEC bias could take over, for sure.
  13. Ha, it's possible because it's so fucked up, but I've yet to heard a persuasive argument.
  14. This is an emotional argument. For the 3rd time, somebody explain how Bama gets in over a CCG winning one-loss Texas who beat them at home.
  15. Again, if SOS and Head to Head are paramount, somebody explain how a CCG winning one-loss Bama jumps a CCG winning one-loss Texas who beat them at home. I think you've all got PTSD.
  16. I used to think this too. But if SOS and Head to Head are as important as stated above, explain this "no brainer." We have both over Bama, no?
  17. So he's not what his stats and record say he is but what your QB eye says he is, got it.
  18. Can't wait til this fat girl commercial thing is over.
  19. Sober up or drink more. Status quo not working.
  20. I wonder if anybody outside Texas knows to us (older guys, anyway) Earl is a lot like Willie. Folk hero.
  21. And then go somewhere else and beat them repeatedly.
