The shanked FG against ISU cost us our chance and it was all the reason they needed to keep us out. When you're not a blue blood the margin of error is zero. It also cost Weeden the Heisman. The only way I cope with it is to convince myself we wouldn't have given OU the beat down we did had the NC game been on the line. Or something. That game killed college football for me and I haven't really given much of a shit since.
I would buy KitchenAid fridge and dishwasher. I've had good luck with both as they're just slightly nicer Whirlpools. Had an LG dishwasher die after a few years. Have heard the same with fridges although not as bad as Samsung.
People spend money on things they like. Some do it to impress others I guess, but I like having the best tool for the job and disagree it doesn't help or at least improve the experience. Cheap, shitty kitchen appliances are a beating to use. My old house had a plastic faucet when we moved in. It worked so I guess it was fine, but it was one of the first things I changed out. I also upgraded all of the appliances to the best that was appropriate for that particular house price point and had zero regrets. To each their own though.
I've heard that's pretty common practice with pool builders these days. A coworker tried for months to get anyone to even come out, let alone follow up. I guess they don't need the business so they don't care much.
Is that an unpopular opinion? It gets a fraction of the hype of the men's WC...for good reason. Maybe three people I know are actively watching it and nobody I know is talking about it. I'll watch the US games because it's the US, but other than that it's completely out of my mind. You can't even hardly find USWNT shirts or anything so it's not like it's being shoved down our throats. At least I haven't seen it if it is. Also, the WC lasts one month every four years unlike the shitty NBA playoffs which last two months every year. No idea how people watch that shit.
In my experience the Indian/Asian population is pushing the Aggy contingent further West into Fulshear and beyond. Off the top of my head my neighborhood has UT, Rice, Notre Dame, random SEC schools and of course a few of the Tech/Aggy/Baylors as expected. It's actually a pretty nice mix.
Tried Brisket & Rice for lunch today. Good stuff and not too far from me. I actually figured Patricio Swayze was probably there, but I forgot the Surly call sign. Muledick? Is that what we're supposed to yell?
It felt pretty damn good outside tonight. Checked the temp and it said 99 heat index still. Didn't feel like that to me. Maybe I'm just turning into a lizard.
Windows and doors are good. I do have a couple holes in the outside siding where I'm installing outlet boxes and just haven't finished yet. That may be causing it. Also need to seal up around the vents I think. No issues last night so not sure why the night before was so bad.
So for some reason a few of my AC vents have started collecting condensation and dripping. Haven't had that happen in this house before. Not sure if it's just the crazy humidity or what.
