  1. Damn shame about the Goons and Frogs. You hate to see it, but more than that...you love to see it.
  2. I've never heard a single person who was happy with their Range Rover. Yet people keep buying them so fuck it!
  3. That shit happened to us in 1990. Ran through the first three games easily 14-4, 7-1, 14-3 and then lost 3-2 to Georgia in the winner take all. My Dad still talks about that game.
  4. Well I learned something today.
  5. Blue Star range and oven getting delivered today. Nowhere close to installing, but still excited to see them. I went with them because they're made in the US and are as simple as simple can be which means less shit to break.
  6. Reading comments online and it's basically all the same bullshit excuses as always. Gun laws don't work, criminals don't care about laws, bad people will do harm if they want to do harm, arm the teachers, blah blah blah fuck you. Only country in the world where this is an epidemic and somehow we just throw up our hands and say 'can't do shit about it!'
  7. I just don't see how anyone still invests serious time and money into whatever it is that college football has become. It's only slightly more interesting than the NFL these days which makes it good for an occasional game or background noise. Maybe it will get better someday, but it has been getting worse for years.
  8. What a dumbass narrative that is that continues to make the rounds.
  9. That's how mine worked. I literally plugged in my modem and it was live. My network password is all setup through my Google WiFi router and carried over with everything I had at my previous house.
  10. Previous owner left something similar in my house. Every room is hardwired with at least two ethernet connections all running back to a central set of switches. I have no need for all of them, but I did hardwire in my Google WiFi hubs and all of my TV's. Everything works great. My cables were all numbered at the switch and in each room on the wall plates so I just plugged my router into the switch and connected whichever cables I needed.
  11. Reading this as I get ready to go fuck with my landscape lighting.
  12. Dr. Ekeruo at Methodist West Houston for me. Zero issues.
  13. Inside Out is one of my favorite Pixar movies. Having two daughters gives it even more meaning watching them go through those stages as they grow up.
  14. My fever was pretty brutal with Covid and whatever the fuck I had two months later. That and the headaches were the worst part.
  15. Very moving post.
  16. I also think the importance of hard work alone shifts from generation to generation. Success builds on the previous generations' success. My Grandpa grew up poor and worked his ass off to become a very successful engineer. That opened doors for his kids which then opened doors for their kids. My kids have it better than I did. I don't pretend I grew up in the same world as my Grandpa though. We didn't start in the same place.
  17. Blows my mind that grown adults can't comprehend this.
  18. So glad I switched. TxTag is a joke.
  19. The window etching one really gets me. They pulled that shit on the last car I bought and I was surprisingly able to get a refund for it. They also lied about installing tint and wheel locks (used car with tint receipt in glovebox and no wheel locks even on the car) so they removed that too. Fucking thieves.
  20. The Mach 1 is my favorite version of the current Mustang. Looks badass.
  21. The interior colors on old cars are so great. My Grandpa had a 1964 Mercury Montclair. Blue exterior and interior. Thankfully my Uncle kept it and restored it to its former glory.
  22. The cheaper models still have the top lint traps. I usually try to go cheaper just because they're simpler with less shit to break. Or just buy a Speed Queen that's simple and expensive.
  23. Backlash for what? Unless you had symptoms or knowingly attended the training while you were sick.
  24. We typically keep ours at 74 when we're home and that's fine to me. I could go to 76, but higher than that starts to suck. Seems like everyone else I know keeps theirs at 68-70 which seems insane to me. No thanks to $500 electricity bills. Thankfully my new house has more shade and badass windows. We'll see how that works out during the Summer months.
  25. Mine is set to 78 when I'm not at the house. Has fuck all to do with Ercot asking me to though.
