  1. Has nothing to do with what you said. I'm ready for all of this to be settled. Whatever happens to us happens. College football is fucked regardless, but congrats on the money I guess?
  2. Yeah there's none of those in the Big 10 or SEC. Nailed it.
  3. Got damn Brisket has had some solid posts on this thread. Well done you crazy bastard.
  4. If there is any chance the check gets split you gotta up your drink game to match the rest of the table.
  5. Shit! Good idea.
  6. I don't mind them with Bourbon, but they can get too sweet. I haven't even been adding sugar to mine. Just a little of the Luxardo syrup is enough for me. One of the better Old Fashioneds I've had at a restaurant was at Bludorn. I had a few though and can't even remember what they used in it. I bought my Dad all the supplies including a bottle of Templeton last year for Christmas and he hasn't even cracked it yet. Thinking about swiping it next time I'm over there.
  7. Bumping this because I just picked up new bottles of Old Overholt and Rittenhouse for my Old Fashioneds. Why do I always have to ask for Rye when I order one at a restaurant?
  8. People who think any of what is happening is because of Biden are fucking morons. It is much bigger and much more complicated than any one administration. It has been years in the making on the Upstream side and Covid accelerated the problem on the Downstream side. Everyone wants a quick fix to a problem that has a huge number of interconnected variables. I never said anything about subsidies. As for moves to fix the refining capacity, it's always a balance. It's a boom and bust business. Always has been and always will be. Even if someone made the decision to start putting dollars back into a business that has been absolute dogshit for the past two years it would take time and manpower to do. My guess is that capacity will come from other parts of the world with fewer regulations and growing demand. Asia has been adding capacity for years which is yet another reason the US companies have shifted dollars elsewhere.
  9. It ain't just flipping a switch you know. Some of them are also being converted to produce renewable diesel to meet environmental requirements. Nobody gives a fuck when cracks are negative and bleeding billions in cash. Long-term business investment decisions are made and capital is redirected away from dying business models into growing ones. That's how it works.
  10. Ahh just add more refining capacity. Seems easy. Let's just do that.
  11. My family can't understand this either. It was an obvious choice for me, but that doesn't mean I'm on either 'team'. It was about doing the right thing...period.
  12. Appliance shortages seem to be hit and miss based on brand and model. When we were shopping the worst were Bosch dishwashers, Wolf ranges, and Sub-Zero refrigerators. All built-in fridges were pretty bad though. We found a Miele dishwasher in stock and ordered a range and oven from Blue Star. All were delivered within two months which was unheard of based on what we were being told. Decided to just keep our KitchenAid fridge for now assuming it doesn't die.
  13. I honestly can't believe how many people blame the President for literally everything going wrong. Reading comments online is mind numbing. I thought 'conservatives' were being unfairly censored from social media and yet it's all that seems to be posted on every story about anything. There isn't a single topic I can read about without at least one Let's Go Brandon response.
  14. Great ribs are great, but they're rarely great.
  15. Until recently, every time the cracks shot to the moon there was enough capacity to quickly squash them by running full tilt for a few months and flooding the market. That incremental capacity is now gone due to shutdowns over the past few years so there is no longer a quick fix. It really made no sense for refiners to add capacity through an entirely new refinery so they would add through smaller unit upgrades. We'll see if that changes going forward, but my guess is no. Refining isn't really a growth business.
  16. Same for me. These people are shortsighted fools and honestly we'd be better off if they moved on to a different industry.
  17. Grew up eating French's yellow, but prefer Heinz or Whataburger yellow now. Heinz brown isn't spicy at all, but has a unique flavor that I like. Also enjoy the whole grain versions from various brands. Can't remember where I get this one, but it's good stuff.
  18. This is such a weird argument. Surly gonna Surly.
  19. All I know is the Mizzou fans who would come to Stillwater kind of sucked. Talked a lot of shit for being so mediocre.
  20. Love me some good waterfall charts.
  21. Trading up every two years probably helps although there are clearly still plenty of issues on Range Rovers of all ages. I'd probably argue that any $100K+ vehicle should have no serious issues within two years, but maybe that's asking too much.
  22. You don't have to convince anyone the Big XII is shit. You guys already left and none of the rest of us have any other options.
  23. Ha, Pace was the only 'salsa' we had in our house growing up. Maybe that's all they sold in Oklahoma in the 80's? I just always remember it wasn't good.
  24. Yeah the only software issues I've had with mine are the gestures screw up when trying to close apps sometimes. It's only certain apps and not really sure when it started.
  25. One of the 'a' model Pixels. 6a is coming out soon. 5a is a solid phone too from what I read, but is no frills and already a year old. I have the 4a.
