Why would opening both doors on a French door be more of an issue than opening the single door on a side by side or column? I like the French door setup better than a side by side, but would prefer a column over both if I had the room.
We've had a counter depth KitchenAid for about 7 years that has been solid so far. Looks pretty nice and does what we need it to do. It'll probably die now that I say that.
I hope their dishwashers are good because I have one sitting in my garage waiting to be installed. I think I'll buy one of their vacuums when our Dyson shits the bed. Although we have zero carpet in our current house so maybe I don't really need a vacuum anymore.
My backyard looks pretty much back to normal after looking like complete shit. Wife keeps mentioning how the neighbors mowed so I guess that's what I'm doing this morning.
I used to care a lot more about cars than I do now. Too many other priorities these days that don't include a car payment. Regardless, I'd never be okay with $1500/month for a depreciating asset. Not even sure what I'll get next. Maybe something like a used Tacoma or 4Runner.
I'd eat at Rudy's over Cooper's. I've been to two different Cooper's locations and both were average to below average. I've had a few shitty meals at Rudy's, but most have been pretty good.
Our range, oven, and dishwasher actually came too fast. Been sitting in the garage for a few months. Hopefully they work. The Subzero was going to take over a year, but we decided to just reuse our KitchenAid fridge for now.
Back when we were looking it seems like Thermador had some decent package prices. Wolf/Subzero/Cove were more expensive. Both had significant supply chain delays.
The Blue Star model we bought comes in either NG or LP. I assume the difference is just the burner orifice. My understanding is that you can drill out the orifice on an LP grill to get the equivalent BTUs out of NG. I haven't actually tried it though. Getting off topic I guess.
Basically every appliance place pushed induction so I'm sure people do like them. We would have been fine with it, but there's just something about gas that isn't replaceable. Maybe see if you can find one to cook on though and decide for yourself.
We've always liked gas. Feel like you have better control over the heat plus no need to be careful banging around cast iron or other pans. The induction was there when we bought the house so it was the first time we've used one. It's fine. Far superior to regular electric tops, but still seems to cook weird. Maybe there's just an extended learning curve. It also makes a buzzing noise which is apparently normal? It boils water amazingly fast...almost impossibly fast. Also probably safer around kids. Overall it was nice, but just not for us. I think it's like a $4K unit.
