  1. I definitely enjoyed this movie. Was about as good as it could have been with the trash movie that came before it. Solid movie, awful trilogy. I really enjoyed how much the movie shit on TLJ. "You coming Rose? Last chance." "Nope, I'm needed here (off screen)." "A Jedi's weapon deserves more respect." Rey is a nobody. Nope, Rey is a Palpatine and chooses to continue on as a Skywalker (which is what the first movie was pointing towards anyway).
  2. Why? There isn't any team that the Rockets should be scared of in the playoffs.
  3. I thought Colby was winning 3-1 going into the 5th and thought it was crazy any judge could have it 3-1 Usman. I had Round 1 clearly Colby, Round 3 clearly Usman, and Rounds 2/4 both close but Colby winning them both. Assuming these striking stats are official http://www.ufcstats.com/fight-details/82177c0f91d9618a, they kinda support that but really just indicate that rounds 2 and 4 were super close and could be judged either way.

  5. If the Rockets just kept Melo and Faried, everything would be fine!
  6. By checking the records of the teams remaining on the schedule? Pretty simple stuff. http://www.tankathon.com/remaining_schedule_strength is a nice place to check.
  7. At 15-8, the Rockets are on pace to win 53.5 games and have one of the easiest remaining schedules in the league. They are one game back in the loss column from the 3 teams ahead of them in the West. If the rest of the season plays out basically exactly as it has so far, the Rockets will finish right around 55 wins and the 2 seed.
  8. The Rockets are going to coast to 55 wins and probably the 2 seed and people are going to bitch the entire way.
  9. These gimmick defenses can limit Harden's points but they are really a terrible idea overall. Double teaming Harden every time he touches the ball past half court to concede wide open threes is not a sustainable plan. If I had to pick a gimmick to play against Harden, I'd do the complete opposite, play for the drive on every iso, and try to bait him into taking 40 step back 3s in a game.
  10. 5 minutes and they never showed a replay of the "penalty" that started all that? weird
  11. Baylor tries to do us a favor and we jump offsides and then also let them convert anyway
  12. His career long before that was 34 yards. He doesn't have breakaway speed. It was a great run.
  13. Westbrook has to get the ball back to Harden there. Jacking up a 3 is awful
  14. Using the constant double teams on Harden to get Westbrook the ball in space attacking a rotating defense 4 on 3 should lead to some pretty good results. No one else on the Rockets can really consistently attack those opportunities.
  15. I never really understood the idea of saying that you are "ahead" in a hand when someone else has a higher percent chance to win the hand.
  16. lol, no. An 11 point lead means an 8 point possession and a 3 point possession ties the game. A lead of 12 means that two touchdowns are required to lose the lead. A 13 point lead is slightly better than a 12 point lead. A 12 point lead is significantly better than an 11 point lead. We very obviously should have kicked the extra point and not doing so was the wrong decision.
  17. Nah. Lockouts piss fans off because fans want to watch the games (or I guess in many cases, pretend to watch and care about the games).
  18. Chris Paul on the Rockets did work, so we can get rid of the almost. I'm optimistic because Westbrook is a better basketball player than Paul. That isn't arguable. His fit is less certain because it hasn't been proven yet, but the last time people questioned Harden's ability to play alongside another ball dominant player, they were very very wrong. They would have had the best record in the league with Paul instead of Westbrook. Westbrook is a better player, so they should be a better team. This is based on their 65 wins two years ago, 42-15 record once they got their shit together this last year after their 11-14 start, and them being the only elite team with roster continuity (which obviously has changed now). Harden not really being interested in participating in the "load management" also is a bonus for the regular season record.
  19. I mean, maybe? Definitely was true for 30 minutes of one game but unfortunately nothing to indicate whether that was actually sustainable over a series.
  20. The Rockets should have been ahead of the LA teams with Paul. Westbrook is better, so the Rockets should be even better though the fit is more questionable since it isn't proven.
  21. CP3 did work. The Rockets won 65 games even though "there aren't enough balls to go around for Harden and Paul" and were the only team to legitimately challenge the Warriors. And the Rockets should have beaten the Warriors even though it didn't end up happening. Anyone who says Chris Paul didn't work out for the Rockets is not providing an accurate assessment of what happened (which to be fair, will probably be 90% of people who comment about basketball).
  22. Remember when everyone said Chris Paul was a terrible acquisition and would never work next to Harden? And then the Rockets became the only team to legitimately challenge with Warriors with KD? Paul isn't completely washed up like people want to to pretend, but Westbrook is a better player and will very likely improve the Rockets (who already should have been the favorite to have the best record in the league).
  23. Of players I would have been interested for the Rockets Jeff Green, Wilson Chandler, Wes Matthews, Noah Vonleh, and Kyle O'Quinn all signed for the minimum. Markieff Morris, Richaun Holmes, Mike Scott, Kevon Looney, and JaMychal Green all signed for 5 million or less per year which we had the ability to offer. We didn't lose out on those guys due to lack of money available.
