  1. Cap space only matters if there is a reason for a player to sign with your team. Why would two max players ever want to sign for the Knicks with no one of relevance on the team with them?
  2. I'm not sure I'd really call that a play
  3. Febres needed to take the 3 or finish inside
  4. Fouling Hayes out on that call is such a joke.
  5. The play for Kyrie would have been a pass to Horford who then passed or handed off to Kyrie depending on how the defense played it. Seems like a play where a lot can go wrong with less than 3 seconds left though.
  6. What about it is pathetic? The deal helps McCaw because now he's unrestricted and teams can over him more realistic deals without needing to worry about Golden State potentially matching.
  7. This is why Houston needs to mortgage the future sell off the grandkids at the deadline. Complete win now mode, and they have no depth. Couldn't get Butler (in hindsight, thank god) for four first round picks, but maybe use some up to get a Vucevic, Ross, KCP, or Bazemore. Hell, call the Pelicans and offer everything that isn't bolted down for Brow before he ends up in L.A. or Boston. Work your magic, Morey. The Rockets have no depth when Paul, Gordon, and Ennis are all hurt and Knight is being brought back along slowly. When those guys are all back, the Rockets really only lack a backup 4.
  8. I feel like every time I see this mentioned, they also talk about how it had been 40 years since the Bucks played on Christmas day. Scoring 30 is great, but why pretend it's impressive that he's the first to score 30 on Christmas since Kareem when they haven't played on Christmas since Kareem was on the team?
  9. No team is going to be trading for Brandon Knight expecting him to help them win games this season from what he's shown so far. At this point he's a salary that you attach a first round pick to in order to make a deal. Which is fine, the Rockets definitely have options there.
  10. If Rivers plays like he did the last two years in LA, he's a good pickup. If he plays like he did for the Wizards, doubt he lasts very long on the team.
  11. So many "experts" trying to sell that the Rockets are having trouble on offense because Ariza and Luc being gone this year is hilarious. We do miss the extra spacing that Ryan Anderson brought but no one really mentions that.
  12. So the play with 53 seconds with ball movement into a wide open three was fine. What looked like a called play for Roach to drive and then kick to Coleman for the straight away three when down one? lol
  13. Waiting for the new president to be elected, then waiting for the GM to be hired, and then waiting for the coach they chose's season to end. I've seen so many people bitching about the timeline, but is it really that hard to follow?
  14. http://www.espn.com/soccer/united-states/story/3705268/us-soccer-not-approached-by-ex-real-madrid-coach-julen-lopetegui-agent Who knows what is true, but his agent is denying it ever happened.
  15. Berhalter played for the USMNT, played in MLS, played in various leagues in Europe (but mostly Germany where he played 10+ years), coached in Sweden, and currently coaches in MLS. If he's the guy, it's not because "he speaks English and coaches in MLS and has a brother in US Soccer".
  16. Playing 5 in the back with 3 defensive mids ends with us having no possession and being dominated? Very surprising. This is why I don't think we can ever really play 5 in the back. We just don't have the midfield for it. Need to go 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1.
  17. Durant is a better player than Curry but Curry is what makes that team special.
  18. He's rejoining the team after Thanksgiving. He was just already in Denver so was with the team for that game. He has not been with the team for the defensive turnaround from the start of the year when the Rockets have gone from bottom 5 in defense to actually pretty good.
  19. Melo on the Rockets not working out and signing Melo being a mistake are two different ideas. I don't think it's a sure thing he couldn't work, but it's also fine if we get rid of him
  20. We're playing better because of a coach who hasn't joined the team yet? Interesting idea but I don't think that's it.
  21. 5-2 so far after the 1-5 start isn't too bad. 3 wins against good teams too. I don't think Melo is at fault at all for the poor start (other than him personally not shooting the ball well), but if he comes back, I think people are looking at it incorrectly if they are wanting him to fill Ariza/Luc's role from last year. The Rockets just need him to fill Ryan Anderson's role while the rest of the team stops playing like trash (in particular Paul and Gordon).
  22. Really obvious fake "injuries" to stop the clock and momentum really need to be penalized.
  23. You realize the Rockets went on a 2-7 stretch during last season as well, right?
  24. The Rockets just need Harden back. Once they get everyone relatively healthy, they'll go on a run.
  25. Seems like he'd be better off skipping the meetings so he doesn't have to get abused on the field.
