  1. Some of these people should have been charged for Bad Facial Hair.

  3. Oh, and pick up a 6pk of pre-mixed formula just in case. Our son seemed to do fine initially at the hospital, but then had latching problems at home and wasn't getting enough. We were released on a Saturday and didn't see the pediatrician until Monday and he lost 2lbs in that time. Doc immediately got a bottle of formula and he ended up on formula the rest of the way. Never could latch properly and wife's production dropped quickly. Better to have some and not need it than to need it and not have it. You can donate it if you end up not needing it.
  4. One thing I always tell people expecting a first kid (or any kid, I guess) is stock up on diapers now. CVS had a thing (not sure if they still do) with their CVS Bucks that every once in a while they're would be a sale where spending $30 on baby stuff would give you $10 in CVS Bucks. So I'd but three $10 bags of diapers in various sizes then use the free $10 to get a 4th bag. I bought every size from 1 to 4 multiple times. Only got 1 back of NB (up to 10lbs) because my wife had blood sugar issues and there was a risk of a big baby. Boy came out at 7lbs so we had to pick up a couple packs of NBs until he fit the 1s, but we didn't buy diapers again until he was 7mo old. Those baby item sales at CVS are also a good time to pick up bottles of baby powder, bags of wipes, baby lotion, bath soap/shampoo, etc. Then get your free bag of diapers.
  5. Yeah, I typically go find crime and police data from other countries with different laws to support my arguments on why Austin has too many police, too. Next you'll be telling me how Copenhagen and Baltimore are basically the same because the population is the same. Yet Copenhagen has increased their police force by quite a bit since 2016 and crime rates have been declining steadily over the same time period. Baltimore has decreased their police force and has one of the highest crime rates in the country. I wonder what's different been the two when they both have similar populations and similar amount of officers?
  6. How about from a site that seems geared towards your desires? We have a little more than half the police as other cities of similar size. If you go by the oft-mentioned "225 officers per 100k people for cities with a population over 500k", then we should have 2218 officers. That's a little over 400 short, and over 1400 less than cities of comparable population per this website that wants less police. Or maybe the police union is conspiring with them?
  7. No, it did not work.
  8. My wife is 45. This past weekend was the first time she ever heard the phrase "righty tighty lefty loosy". She broke the garage door a few months ago. Knocked it off the track and the vertical channels got bent. Door was wedged crooked about halfway down. One roller bracket got so twisted I had to cut it just so I could get the door shut or risk having thieves stealing all of my tools and shit. I ordered all the parts to fix it and have been busy with work so haven’t had time to fix it until this past weekend. Since she broke it, and I needed a 2nd set of hands to pull the panels off and put them back in, I made her help me. I have an old car in the garage I'm restoring so if course it was in the way. I was taking out hinge bolts on one side of the car, then handed her the socket wrench to take out the two bolts on her side. I stood there and watched as she rotated the socket wrench the wrong way - click click click click - for a good 2-3 minutes. I kept telling her to turn it the other way but she couldn't figure it out. "It's not turning." I had to walk around the car and show her how a socket wrench works. Later when we're reassembling, she kept trying to tighten a bolt with the wrench set to loosen. This was after I had already shown her how to switch it. "You need to come do this one. I can't get it tighten." Seriously - how do you live 45 years and not understand which direction to turn something to tighten or loosen it? She's changed light bulbs before.
  9. Just have him buy a tiny house and set it up somewhere on the property. They can live in that. And he can sell it when they no longer need it.
  10. Dammit. I was delivering off this street yesterday (and do often) and was thinking, "Who the fuck thought this was a good idea?" There was a small roundabout there before they redid it. It wasn't great since the intersection wasn't made initially for a roundabout, but it wasn't terrible to get thru. This one is stupid - not only because of those bike lanes on both sides, but because the roundabout forces you to drive partially into the cross street on both sides which has square corners instead of the circular drive you typically see with a roundabout. If another car is coming up to turn and waits for you, you pretty much have to stop and let them go first because there isn't room to maneuver without running over the reflectors And this is the only roundabout in that neighborhood. And it's in a stupid place. Sendero runs straight through the entire neighborhood between Loyola and 969. This roundabout is at an intersection where one cross street goes a block and deadends - with about 12 houses on it. The other side goes down and loops back to Sendero in a different spot that has no roundabout. There can't be enough traffic from the cross streets to warrant needing a roundabout to let people out easier.
  11. Why do blondes like midgets? Because the midgets always tell them their hair smells nice.
  12. Computer expert can't understand why non-computer experts don't want to abandon the comfortable setup they are familiar with for the "easy" system he developed. J/k But I've used Tapa for years with other sites and like having all of my different forums in one spot, the ease of uploading pics, jumping to my participated threads automatically, etc. I can switch forums without having to navigate in a browser. I'm old. That about sums it up. Yeah, I used the browser method when Tapa was down, and I figured out how to show activity in threads I posted in, but I came back when Tapa worked again.
  13. Remember, Vince beat "the greatest team of all time" consisting of 2 Heisman winners in basically a home game for them. Cam only managed 2 TDs against Oregon.
  14. Probably grandma's choice. My wife grandmother (when still living) only ever wanted to go to one place - Luby's.
  15. When you get an Samsung phone, you set it up with a Gmail account to access the PlayStore. Pretty typical. Well, my wife was setting up something for my daughter in YouTube and used her Gmail address, but then set it with my daughter's birth date so it will be age appropriate. Now she gets a warning her Gmail will be deleted in 28 days because she's "too young to have an unsupervised Gmail account". I tell her she needs to go in and change the birth date before things on her phone stop working. She starts arguing with me about how she has a school email and doesn't care if her Gmail account gets deleted. I tell her she needs the Gmail account for her phone so the apps will update and work properly. I look into it and see she has to do the update on a computer and not on her phone. She tells me she'll "get to it later." She calls me today to tell me her Maps directions say she's offline and won't update for traffic. She's got cell signal and everything, tried rebooting, etc. I ask if she's updated her Gmail account yet. Of course not. She's got 3 weeks left.

  18. For those on Tapa, the forum is listed again. Edit: Just saw it was mentioned already.
  19. 1. I don't sit around and think about dick shape and how it would be useful in sucking, but you do you. No kink shaming here. 2. You're looking at his thumb instead of asking who the fuck the Texas Aggies are. 3. Who the fuck are Rhonda and Frosty?
  20. She should fight it
  21. I was delivering in a more rural area of Austin the other day (think a neighborhood with a lot of manufactured housing). Not uncommon to see loose dogs in these areas - mostly chihuahuas and shepherd mixes. That day there were two loose pits or mixes running loose in the middle of the street. They started barking and growling and chasing my suv. I had a stop about 5 houses down. They chased and growled all the way there. I was about to toss the package out the window towards the house, but when I stopped that turned and went back up the street. I watched until they got about 4 houses away and then opened the door slowly. One of them turned to look at me but didn't give a shit now that I wasn't moving. I dropped off the package and got back in and left. But yes, I have tossed packages or left them outside gates because of loose dogs - not all of them pits. Had a black lab try to get through a metal gate once. Whole thing was rattling.
