  12. I have a cousin that retired after 25 years of being a flight attendant for United and then Fronteir. Her daughter - of the LFL fame that I posted a pic of - recently graduated from FA school with Fronteir. The daughter always seemed kind of aimless in her work philosophy and basically went where blondes with looks and a push-up bra but not much else could get paid without doing OnlyFans or escorting (that I know of, anyway). And she had a kid and I thought husband so not sure how the FA gig is going to fit into her lifestyle. Another female friend worked for United until retirement without doing the FA route (she's 4-10). Worked front ticket desk in the airport.
  13. Haven't read the entire thread yet, but got to that OB report about Venables working on the 3-3-5 because we've seemed to struggle with it at times. Now - if I was Sark and there was a narrative out there that "the word is out on how to slow down Texas" like apparently Rice and Wyoming and whomever did, I'd purposely let that continue against opponents who we can beat easily without much adjustment. Then - when we go up against ou and they think they know what to do to stop us, we come out SPECIFICALLY attacking that defensive philosophy and put them on their ass early. Probably what the reports of "preparing for surprises" means.

    6 word stories

Worst decision I ever made. Again.
  16. I don't think they need to be super faithful, but changing entire plot points just to move the series along or switching up relationships partners just to get more sex (or women viewers) is stupid. It's like they wanted a loose background plot and an established title name and forget everything else. It would be like making a Winnie the Pooh movie where a bear eats a pig before a blonde kid shows up and shoots him. LoTR books were very dry for me but the movies were fine. The Expanse did a pretty damn good job and I saw most of the series before even reading the books and liked the books as an expansion of the series. Harry Potter figured out how to leave stuff out or condense multiple things into one but keep the main story accurate.
  17. Chihuahuas are assholes and will go after anyone even if they were invited. As a delivery driver who encounters a lot of loose dogs - and some leashed in the front with reach to the door - it's the chihuahuas that will sneak up behind you to bite you. But they'll run off if you confront them, yapping the entire time. Had some cowdogs, lab mixes, etc be aggressive and act like they might bite but didn't. Usually growl and bark as you move towards the house then are fine as you go back to the car. But I keep the package between us just in case. Only had one - a pit - that was chained up in the front that I decided not to tempt fate and just left it on the car in the driveway. Super aggressive and I didn't want to provoke her more and worry about that chain coming loose. Plenty that were behind fences or gates that would've killed me if they could've gotten to me. Had a German Shepherd the other day that was trying to chew through a metal mesh fence to get to me. Had many different breeds and sizes test the glass integrity of front windows. And nothing gets the heart beating like bending down to put a package by the door when the THUMP of a huge dog hitting the other side at full force and no prior barking scares the shit out of you. Had one cat try to attack me. One peacock walked around the side of my vehicle and suddenly appeared right by my knee and made me jump. A buffalo refused to move out of the middle of a long driveway and I just went back out and left it at the gate. And once I walked up to a country house to leave a package, turned around and a horse was standing at the bottom of the steps. Never saw or heard it until then. Another driver was delivering in the early morning dark a couple months ago and opened a gate to a yard to leave a package at the front door and was attacked by a dog - a pit mix - and had to get 22 stitches to his arm and leg. No "Beware of Dog" sign and the dog didn't bark first. I don't even bother going into fenced yards in the dark anymore, and sometimes not in the daytime either.

  19. As someone who really liked the books, I've avoided the series ever since I found out they changed Perrin's story in the beginning. A change like that bothers me and it would continue bothering me. After reading some comments - and spoilers - about other changes, I'll probably never watch this.
  20. Prevent on 4th down lost the game.
  21. Can't believe they went back to the 3-man rush on 4th. Pressure the QB.
  22. Good thing they didn't show her the "hottie" before she donated.
  23. I don't know who Allison McKinney is, but I like her.
  24. I think all of these were tied with only 3 total points off the final score. 260 total yards allowed would seem to give it to Beer Horn (266) but not sure if spread (26) vs total points (54) formula would matter. If so, Scraps would be closest with total points (53) and tied on spread (25).
