  1. Speaking of gone posters... Where's our donut boy who wanted to enslave immigrants?
  2. Question for @TwiceHorn or any other legal people: If there was no collusion, does it hurt any case that argues Trump obstructed with the investigation?
  3. What I find weird is that "electability" is only mentioned as a concern for Warren. Whereas other candidates don't have this problem. Namely, Pete, and Bernie. Although I haven't seen much of that for Kamala.
  4. Bernie isn't like the Tea Party. He's been ok with voting for less than progressive ideas for the sake of pragmatism. As long as it advances left.
  5. The most I've ever related to Donald Trump was the story about how Ryan was talking to Trump, and Trump just decides to walk away out of boredom. Everybody ignoring Ryan is for the best. Too bad he will comeback and run for Governor of Wisconsin once people forget how shitty he was.
  6. The decline of Glenn is the worst one imo. He was decent for many years and all of a sudden snapped. Glenn and Tracey follow the same plan of attacking some monolithic idea of the media and rail against opinion pieces all day. I wish they would go back to covering the news like they used to but I'm afraid that's in the past.
  7. Trump wanted to make another attempt at healthcare but Mitch told him it's never going to happen. So Trump pushed it back to 2021.
  8. It's not just Newt. Starting yesterday, Rush started talking about Pete too. It's weird.
  9. Just as an aside, Michael Tracey has really jumped the shark. He's just an asshole now and spends all day railing against some monolithic version of the media.
  10. Guys, just remove judges. That's really the immigration fix.
  11. It's two-fold. They keep lying about the money PR received, and they can't help but think of PR as outsiders rather than Americans.
  12. From the same interview, Pete's idea of a 30 year movement really resonated with me. That's what the D's need to do. Have a movement that defines the current era, and several more. Enough to make the other party bend to it's will kind of like Reagan did with the Democrats. He spoke of the year "2054" a lot, because he's going to be Trump's current age in that year and he wants to see something sustainable come from the current group of Democrats. If you folks haven't yet, you should listen to the interview.
  13. I never said I wanted to wipe mention of the atrocity or try to hide. I didn't even mention wanting to deny it like Turkey does with the Armenian genocide. The shooting is a horrific thing that happened, and dealing with it will require nuance. My only concern was to not let the manifesto circulate because it could potentially inspire other extremists.
  14. Your concern was over media not being able to critique the manifesto. Don't try to shift what I'm saying. Once again, most people don't need to see that manifesto because they can already interpret that his actions are vile. The concern of the NZ govt was over this manifesto inspiring other extremists. In an ideal world, this wouldn't be censored and everyone would agree that the shooting was bad. If you let the manifesto circulate, you're giving him exactly what he wants. We should also be considerate of the population that the manifesto is attacking. They may not want the shooter's ideas and thoughts circulating, considering how racist its contents were. I disagree with your last point. If other extremists see it and try to copy then the govt has even more problems to deal with.
  15. But you know some people will still sift through and say: "Look, what he did was terrible but he had the right idea about [insert nazi thing]." Just by posting his manifesto, you're giving room for interpretation on his vile thoughts and letting it all out. There's already widespread condemnation in their media of the shooter and his attack. It's not like people need to read the manifesto to understand the shooter is an extremist.
  16. Yeah... They're preventing the shooter from being a martyr and spreading his extremist message to other far-right groups. It's the ideal thing to do. Along with not mentioning the shooter's name or giving him notoriety.
  17. This is why the GOP's best bet was shoring up the ACA and then preventing any sort of leftward pull. It would've been the sound long-term strategy. There's very few people who actively want to go back to the Pre-ACA days, but those are the loudest voices.
