  1. It's something he's in favor of pursuing. There's enough anger over the SC among Dems to make something out of it.
  2. He has outlined some policies before, like his support for packing the supreme court. It's weird enough to be his niche policy goal or something.
  3. Another thing to consider is that the GOP will look to sabotage whatever the newest healthcare changes are. Democrats/The President should have a better messaging strategy pre and post whatever law they can move forward.
  4. Thanks for the write-up. A lot of countries have shot for their version of M4A but usually end up around a public option. So for those of you in the M4A camp, what would the timetable for phasing in people? I really liked that you brought up Jayapal, she brought up a lot of interesting arguments in favor of M4A on Ezra's show. Link
  5. Been that way for a while. The same conservatives who bring up free speech never read the rest of the 1st Amendment.
  6. Going to wait for a bigger site to corroborate but this is huge.
  7. I'd like to see this line for next year: Cosmi - Braun - Shack - Kerstetter - Christian Jones. It's wishful thinking, but having the tackle spots taken care of for the next couple of years would be incredible.
  8. @HenryJames @bad_teammate Just so y'all know, there was an update to that comic by Bors.
  9. The Weeds podcast had a point the past week that I keep thinking back on. Trump opened a can of worms with regards to fear of immigrants, and channeled that into wall support. The point being made was that it's easy to tap into fear if you choose to, it's damn near impossible to control what that fear will eventually lead to. Which is why we won't know the full effect of what Trump has done until well past his presidency. The wall may not be enough at some point in the future, and candidates to the right of Trump will emerge with more radical proposals. It's possible the Weeds were discussing the fear of the unknown post-Trump, but I'm inclined to agree with their pessimism on this point.
  10. Simply put, they're message is just "no", and it has been since 2008. To be fair, it's been a highly successful message for them. It's easy to just oppose whatever the other side proposes.
  11. One of the other sticking points was that Amazon isn't union friendly and wasn't going to amend their stance. I think if Amazon would've compromised a little there, then something could've been worked out. Then again, if Amazon allows the NYC locations to unionize it would've meant a lot of fights across the nation for them.
  12. This doesn't even make sense. Tucker is a Warren believer and loves her economic policies. How can he claim anyone else is far left in American politics?
  13. Someone should tell Bobby it isn't 2013.
  14. Until the GOP suddenly becomes the party of Constitutional Conservatism when a Dem takes the presidency. Just. Like. Clockwork. Except the courts will be on their side due to how many conservatives are being assigned.
  15. I think there's a better way for us to have that discussion without suggesting anything close to Jewish money or hypnotism. I understand what Omar was trying to say, but bringing those things up in context looks pretty bad. Rolling this discussion in with the lobbying done by foreign governments is much more useful.
  16. SIAP, but it's refreshing to see Omar apologize for the tropes she invoked. I had forgotten what that was like after the past few years.
  17. This is ultimately their strategy every time their back's against the wall. The right always tries to make it into a culture war. Republicans haven't offered good policy proposals for any of the problems facing us, yet we only hear their whining about other people proposing ideas. Currently they don't have a policy leg to stand on, so they focus all their energy on bringing down AOC or Warren. Shoutout to @troph for the quality posts elaborating what I'm talking about.
  18. Normally he capitalizes useless shit. This one looks like a Trail of Tears reference.
  19. Yeah, I think Green should beat out Boyce, but both will play a lot. All the CB's are really young though so we should expect some growing pains and rotations while they develop.
  20. They have one "bad" game, usually at home, every year. A&M and Cuse last year. Syracuse last year. Pitt the year before. It's hard to be championship caliber each and every week. But you're right, that offense should be rolling each week if they're healthy.
