  1. With the Kennedy retirement, Donald just got a reset button should he want it.
  2. Can't enjoy West Wing either. Feels way too idealistic and the characters make too much sense.
  3. People bring up that Texas could flip blue, but that isn't likely to happen for some time. Even if it does, it looks like the midwest states are going to flip red so it could even out. Honestly, I don't see a need in worrying about such hypotheticals when we have no idea how 2020 will go down. You're projecting what the GOP did onto the Dems.
  4. What do they mean about Brandon Jones? He was decent last year as a sophomore, and could be very good for us this year.
  5. No one in their right mind can support Trump while complaining about some breakdown of discourse. He's attacked political opponents, disabled people, media, and lied as much as he possibly can. Politely asking a govt official to leave is hardly equivalent.
  6. They have: Starkel (Rs. So.) Mond (So.) Blumrick (Rs. Fr.) Foster (Fr.) They need attrition/transfers before they think about taking more than one qb in any class.
  7. To be fair, America's camps for Japanese-Americans were ongoing till 1944 and some stayed through 45.
  8. Oh my god, these people are ghouls.
  9. While it is incredibly tone deaf, people should not take the bait from the Trump's. They'd rather that people discuss anything but family separation, or the new healthcare bill the GOP will attempt to pass.
  10. Additionally, what we did to those people is a freaking atrocity. Will the US now be more lenient to them? Because they deserve a better life after what the govt just put them through.
  11. So Flores set the limit at 20 days that you can hold children. The Trump admin is just going to roll forward and take on the challenge in the courts.
  12. Reveal is a pretty good source from my research. They’re citing the lawsuit, so they’re just reporting what is stated. For verification we’d need something to back up the allegations imo.
  13. This is some shit we’re in... “Children held at Shiloh Treatment Center, a government contractor south of Houston that houses undocumented immigrant minors, described being held down and injected, according to the federal court filings. The lawsuit alleges that children were told they would not be released or see their parents unless they took medication and that they only were receiving vitamins. Parents and the children themselves told attorneys the drugs rendered them unable to walk, afraid of people and wanting to sleep constantly, according to affidavits filed April 23 in U.S. District Court in California. One mother said her child fell repeatedly, hitting her head, and ended up in a wheelchair. A child described trying to open a window and being hurled against a door by a Shiloh supervisor, who then choked her until she fainted."
  14. Nah man, you're either ok with this policy to separate families or you're a leftist. Don't forget to pick up your copy of the manifesto.
  15. These trolls keep bringing up the debt, but if they truly cared for the economy or were capitalists they'd want more immigrants.
  16. And everything since the election has proven your point about Trump to be correct. But the hardcore Trump supporters can't handle that, so they dig deeper in their Hillary obsession. Come 2020, they will still be talking about her and will transfer some of their criticisms over to whomever the next Dem nominee is. We can already see though that the enthusiasm gap is swinging towards the Dems having the lead and it will only get wider.
  17. I'm not as down on LSU as some people. Last year they played a ton of freshmen, and there's enough talent to get back to 9-10 wins even if Orgeron fucks up here and there. Aranda can be counted upon to build another top ten defense, and they have a good QB. Unless you have a different measure of failure for a LSU program than I do, I don't see it. He won't be Saban or Malzhan good, but he won't be so bad they fire him midseason or something.
  18. People either want to keep justifying voting for Trump, or they're obsessed with Hillary. What people tend to ignore imo is that all the enthusiasm was going to be with the conservatives no matter who the Dems picked as their nominee. It was going to be an uphill climb. People can discuss Hillary's candidacy all they want, but the criticisms fall flat when you consider her opponent.
  19. The whole family is so petty.
  20. That's exactly the danger with normalization of these abhorrent behaviors. It's only a small leap, and hell several surly members here have made statements about wanting to reduce immigration.
