  1. More and more of them dislike any kind of immigrants. That's the danger I see short term, and long term.
  2. That's a totally normal thing for a CoS to say.
  3. How large of a class are they aiming for?!
  4. According to NPR, the children have to make their own case for asylum separate from their parents. So a 4 year old would have to represent itself.
  5. I mentioned this in the Trump thread but when it comes to immigrants, all of a sudden conservatives are skeptical. It says a lot that when they hear about immigrants wanting asylum, they never give immigrants the benefit of the doubt.
  6. Connelly’s rationale is that OU played a lot of underclassmen last year on defense and those players will improve through experience next year.
  7. It says a lot about conservatives and Trump these days. Immigrants never get the benefit of the doubt that they may actually be asylum seekers. But bigots do get that benefit.
  8. Just last week, our ambassador to Germany said the US will be supporting more conservative parties in Germany than Merkel’s. This admin has no issues supporting the far right.
  9. but actually... https://www.politico.eu/article/germany-crime-rate-lowest-since-1992/ Germany in 2017 had their lowest crime rate in since 1992. But Trump’s gotta dog whistle for the bigots.
  10. While they're playing, I wonder if it will be like a true redshirt. During the season, redshirt players usually lift more frequently than the ones on the active roster, and I don't think they travel to away games either. I'm not sure how McKnight will balance this, but I'm sure he already has a few plans.
  11. It's ok though, he voted for Gary Johnson. He's not actually a Trumpkin. /s
  12. They chose 4 games because it's the same number as an injury redshirt. This way, it's all the same whether the player actually got injured or not.
  13. Yes, that’s a redshirt year according to the new rules.
  14. This would be a great situation for them. Additionally, I think teams could also hold depth chart competitions well into the season. For example, you have two freshmen and you can carry out an open competition through the early part of the season. Winner gets to keep playing, loser gets a redshirt. I'm hoping something like this happens with our DL and CB recruits.
  15. From NYT this weekend: Maybe she's trying to be technically correct, but disingenuous or something? Since the families would be separated after they cross the border and are caught?
  16. Exactly this. Let them fill up on bread. They're also switching up offensive styles, and will need to hit the refresh button on their secondary. There's going to be a lot of attrition that will occur.
  17. Most coaches will want a big class of guys they recruited the first year and that means kicking off the ones they don't want. This is only natural.
  18. Dude looks a little undersized, but I like what Wilson's doing with the program.
  19. 2020 news, but UTSA picked up a 4* LB recruit out of Louisiana. https://247sports.com/Player/Kelin-Burrle-46052138
