  1. I've argued this before, but the rationale will just change from preventing a Hillary presidency to preventing a socialist presidency. Which is why I think 2020 will be close once again. The only thing that would make me confident in Trump losing would be an economic downturn before the election.
  2. My MAGA co-worker: "See, it just proves that despite his losses Trump can keep being successful. It takes a real fighter to keep bouncing back."
  3. I think they were illegal in NYC, and still might be. Which would explain why she's never seen one.
  4. I wasn't alive for the 60's but today's 20-somethings are much further to the left than the generation or two before them.
  5. The GOP just suffered a ton of losses in the House and yet, nothing has changed.
  6. Today's young are waaaaaaay more left than ever before but the ones that are conservative are also more wildly conservative than anything I've seen. This is just my personal experience as a young guy. I would be interested to see polarization compared with age groups.
  7. The GOP is post-dubya now and it took about a decade for that to happen. This is the example I'm going off of. Reagan was a complete outlier and his legacy lasted for decades past his term. Too soon to tell if Trump will have a Reagan-like impact but I think Trump will have lasting power. Sorry, meant to tag @GRHorn as well. Trump can be both useful and influential. Look at the 2020 GOP candidates and if they resemble Trump then I will be right.
  8. We've heard that for years now and it simply isn't true. The GOP has coalesced around Trump and will continue to support him no matter what. You will see post-Trump GOP candidates that will use him as the baseline for their agenda and policy goals. At least for a generation or so.
  9. Spoiler alert: they are. Barr believes so.
  10. You know what? There's so many candidates I forgot about Castro. I guess he's in the group I need convincing for, but with prior cabinet experience it wouldn't take me much to support him if he were the nominee. Oh I completely forgot to add Gravel to the group I don't care for.
  11. He's a little busy right now, please don't bother him with trivial questions like policy.
  12. Little late to the rankings talk, but here's my list: Group I'm ok with: Warren, Booker, Harris, and Bernie. Group that needs more experience, or needs to run for senate/governor in their state: Pete, and Beto Group I don't care for: Tulsi, Biden, and Gillibrand. Anybody I didn't mention is someone I would need convincing for.
  13. Good move. Infowars is especially vile, and it's surprising it took so long.
  14. Frankly if your provider is willing to deny anybody for personal reasons, that should be a huge red flag. Trump also is ok with adoption agencies denying applicants if they're LGBTQ.
  15. Graham has always latched on to whoever he thinks defines the party. He did this with McCain years ago, and then did the same when Trump gained power. It's that simple. He goes with the tide every time.
  16. It was always just a political tool, and I hope that Paul Ryan never comes back.
  17. These people are truly cartoons. I can't remember a single president who kept nominating memes as often as this one.
  18. If the tweet is threaded, it's 99% likely to be a Scavino tweet. Trump never threads his tweets.
  19. A few days ago, Orgeron was quoted saying he wanted to recruit nationwide this cycle. When he first became head coach he said he would focus mostly on Louisiana recruits.
  20. All of what you said is correct. People should not underestimate Trump, and the rate at which we're polarizing. We saw millions of Americans vote for Trump despite his controversies and they will continue to grow in number as more and more centrist conservatives move further to the right.
  21. Now you're just assuming things and ranting about stuff I haven't done. Go back and read what I wrote. This is terrible trolling. I didn't even mention socialism. The rest of your post is just gish gallop. If you wish to yell at clouds, do so in your own head.
  22. ...ok? One of the chief members of the WH Admin is going on tv to complain about a freshman member of the House not tweeting about something in a timely fashion. Is that not over the top to you considering the main topic was yet another synagogue shooting?
