  1. I'll have to check out Farrell's. I like that JJ's down there. We had lunch and drinks there before hopping around. I live up in BV so JJ's is one of like 4 restaurants up here so I eat there pretty often. Thanks for the tips man 👍
  2. You will find some primo ass in South Tulsa on any given night though. I stopped at a QT on my way to OKC a few weeks back and thought I had crossed into the Twilight Zone of hotties. It was crazy.
  3. I feel this should have an asterisk next to it. PARTS of Tulsa are beautiful. The majority of it is a shit hole with vagrants and meth heads constantly begging for money or being twacked out of their minds and rambling incoherently in your general direction. Spot on with the architecture stuff though. There are some beautiful buildings in the downtown area.
  4. Hey, so I live in NWA and was wondering where the good tailgate spots are or even a good bar that will be showing the game. I'm not going to go to the game but I'd like to be down in that area on game day. Just recently spent a day out on Dickson before a concert I was going to and was trying to scout some good bars but honestly I didn't really find one that seemed like it would be a good time on game day. Any recommendations?
  5. Wife picked me up one of these after I mentioned wanting a nice game day koozie. I'll put some leather conditioner on to keep the Busch lattes from staining it. Very well made koozie and super tight fit on a 12oz can. Almost too tight but she'll break in. https://paristexasco.com/collections/texas-longhorns/products/ut-needlepoint-can-cooler I lived in Paris when I was knee high to a grasshopper. Pretty cool to see a homegrown company making good stuff.
  6. Yep. "Our schedule is full" is bitch-speak for "You've whipped our ass too many times already. No mas, Papi."
  7. Nice. He'll have fun in Austin for sure. I wonder if he'll ever actually compete for the starting job. If Arch comes in I don't think anyone is standing in his way.
  8. Exactly. When I first moved to Arkansas all my Texas friends and family kept asking me if I was still in the habit of wearing shoes. So far, I am.
  9. Uh...who is Cole Lourd? Walk-on QB?
  10. We need a "mothafuckin' right" button.
  11. This is the only true shit on this entire page. Well done.
  12. That's fucking depressing.
  13. I bet they are. It's the freakin' weekend baybay. I work for myself so I usually do my trips mid-week to avoid the masses. Yeah after I posted that I called my buddy that's from around here and he said lower should be good to go. I'm going to float it with my buddy so when he can get a few days off in the week we'll get on it 👍
  14. Unless we get a lot more rain between now and game day you're not going to have fun floating the Buffalo. They've got all float trips on hold at the moment with average water level being about a foot and a half. I haven't floated the Buffalo yet but I'm dying to break in this new kayak and that was going to be my next trip. Went out with my buddy and his 11yo son and we went 28 miles down the King's river in two and a half days just a couple weeks back. Caught some good fish through there, too. ETA: Here's a handy website to keep track of Buffalo water levels. https://www.buffaloriver.com/river-levels/
  15. I understand what Kyle is getting at here but these stats from WW2 and the Carter administration don't exactly rile up fond memories for 70+ % of his followers or UT football fans. No offense to the olds.
  16. Yeah that's what I figured. I've never tried YouTube TV but to get LHN with Cox in Northwest Arkansas I have to have basically the highest sports package they offer which I am sure costs much more than $50 a month. I think at least. The wife pays the bills.
  17. That would be sick. I already have YouTube Premium and YouTube Music Premium so that would let me cancel my Cox subscription.
  18. As it is mine. I have had a lot of fun in Stillwater and was accepted into OSU but chose not to go there because the country life was all I had ever known and I wanted college to be an experience and not just more of the same. My FIL lives on some acreage near Stillwater so we go there somewhat often. But as a college aged kid, most of the bars in OKC were packed with students from OU and OSU because both of those towns suck after your freshman year.
  19. You're not wrong. But, have you ever been to Stillwater, OK? There's literally nothing else to do. So it's not much of a teenage rebellion/coming of age thing. It's more of a survival tactic.
  20. Yeah, the whole Lawton, OK being the best college town in OK is a dead giveaway that whoever made and/or participated in this shit is a complete fucking moron. I mean, Oklahoma sucks--I spent nearly 15 years there but there are far better college towns than Lawton. Norman fucking blows. Stillwater is fine if you're just looking to party and do country boy shit. Edmond is great. TONS of wealthy sloots to enjoy and literally a five minute drive to OKC. Tulsa is a shit hole. Tahlequah is a good little college town with the Illinois river being the main attraction around there. Lawton is literally the bottom of the list of college towns in OK with about 10 schools that no one has ever even heard of ahead of them.
  21. Ran into an aggy at Wally the other day. Typical baby boomer aggy wearing an ATM shirt. We were checking out next to each other so I gave him a nod and said Hook 'em. He rolled his eyes and began their typical diatribe of tsip insults and asked if I even attended "tu". I told him I went to college in Oklahoma. He said "typical tsips. I've never met a fan of TU that actually went there." I told him that my grades weren't even close to good enough to get accepted into UT but that I did get accepted into aggy and he about had a stroke right there in the self checkout lane at Walmart. He was still blubbering on with a red face as I walked away humming the EOT and chuckling to myself. Good times. Fuck aggy.
  22. Anybody got a link to watch the game? I'm visiting friends and they're all anti-cable so no ESPN on the tube.
  23. Well......we're waiting.
  24. That's fair. Most people don't even believe I exist. Whaddya gonna do?
  25. I met Mike Wolfe today. He played O-line for OSU back in the Barry Sanders era. Super cool guy.
