Where are you finding your wine if I may ask, I've had some Lopez de Heredia before and would like some more.  It's wonderful.

Anyone have Italian recs?  Would prefer authentic Italian over an American version of Italian food.

The last few times out we've had dinner at Ferraro's.  Nice restaurant with good wine selections.  I always have the osso buco.  They had a huge discounted wine list when I was there in March.  Probably not as nice as 2dahorns rec's but it's a solid can't miss.

Fuck OU. Took 2 of the 3 that count. If our closer wasn’t struggling would have taken all 4. Need to get that shit fixed quick.

If OU's bullpen doesn't implode Saturday (again) they win the series.

Love it.  Reminds me of being a poor in college going to Vegas 20 years ago.  Cargo pants were still cool (I think?) and would stuff pockets full of airplane bottle liquors when going to the clubs.   Just order soda's.

I just hate handing over $10 to a bartender at Caesars, if I want to pay for beer at the casino I want it to be with $200 at the poker slots.

Is everyone that went for the first weekend of MM still hungover? Tell us how it was??

Yes, I am.  Did the Caesar's Madness on the Strip Thursday and Friday, okay buffet and drinks.  Wager lines weren't bad if you didn't have the app.  The ballroom was packed both days.  Big 10 fans love to wear jersey's.  Made my wagers for the day Saturday morning at the sportsbook at Cromwell as they opened at 8, no line.  Posted up at the sportsbook bar at Ceasars to watch Baylor (wild game).  The line to make a wager there was dumb.  Refused to pay $10 for a beer at the casino so I stocked up at CVS, walking around with a plastic bag full of Coors Light corner post.  Ate some good food, played a couple of rounds of gold, ate some gummies.  Usual shit.

In case any of you think I was exaggerating about the looniness of the Russian bio weapons lab claim—-  I present the Russian Embassy in Slovakia’s Facebook statement.  Please don’t mistake this for being just directed at Russians. This is for all of us. I machine translated, they worked hard to get this into good, professional Slovak.

"The Zionist entity gathered all the rats carrying the Bubonic plague in Norway, and released them in all the Egyptian provinces near the Sinai. According to several Egyptian sources, this operation took place in 1967, and these rats still exist in very large numbers. These rats breed very quickly and cause significant harm to crops. They devour these crops very quickly, and destroy grain silos. Even children are not safe from them. These rats often bite children's limbs. According to these sources, the Zionist entity, since the beginning of the normalization of its ties with Cairo, managed to smuggle chemical fertilizers and rotten seeds into Egypt, leading to the destruction of vast areas of soil and crops in Egypt. This is a well-planned strategic operation, with both short-term and long-term implications, but the clear goal is to annihilate the Arab world."

Crap.  I didn't consider the fact that the sportsbooks are going to be packed that day.  That was my Thursday plan.  I mean, it makes sense now that I think about it.  It just hadn't crossed my mind.

It will be a madhouse, be sure you have that Caesar's sportsbook app so you can easily place all your losing bets.

The amateur traveler believes that Americans are the ugliest abroad, the semi-pro thinks it’s Russians or Chinese, and the pro knows it’s the English at any destination the working class can afford a ticket to.

Visited Prague in 2018 and the English were the worst.  Proper wankers.

That’s a team not showing up.  OU sucks and all but that was very good team and showed it all year, up to that point.  Switzer was snoozing as he was known to do time to time.  Ole Barry didn’t exactly harbor much hate for the Hogs.

edit: also the Boz was 12 years old.  What exactly did you expect from him?

1977 was a very good team, beat Ohio State in the Shoe and dominated down the stretch.  If it had not been for Erxleben kicking 116yds worth of field goals in Dallas OU is undefeated going in the Orange Bowl.  That team was half drunk and high in Miami though, Switzer's worst game.

2004 Sooners were said to be the possibly the best team ever.  Got blown out 34-7 or thereabouts by KSU in the Big 12 championship and went on to not do particularly well against USC.  (better example than the 90 Horns, IMHO)

That was 2003 Sooners lost to K-State 35-7 then LSU 21-14 in the Sugar Bowl.  2004 Oklahoma was undefeated up to the USC BF'ing.

    Damn, Mead is low.

Late edit, but Lotus of Siam is on my no miss list. Last time I ate there was 4 years ago. Looks like they are at the Flamingo Road location only now. What did you order? It looks delish.

I've been hoping to see a recommendation for Thai food in this thread.  March Madness can't get here fast enough, gonna wear this place out.
