  1. I didn't see them at the Back Room. I think it was that tiny race track out toward the airport.
  2. Same. And Public Enemy.
  3. That was actually one of the most desirable student/young person locales 45 years ago. Great variety of clubs and restaurants. Businesses that really catered to students. Two theatres and rock clubs. High class billiard parlor. The best Jorge's. The Abby Inn. Very clean and safe back then.
  4. I haven't had it in years, but the last few times we ordered it, while still good, was a shadow of its former self. Perhaps a product of the march of age, but I remember living off E. Riverside in the late '70s and the Gattis near the multiplex theatre and Minimax was just outstanding. Not Conan's outstanding, but greatness none the less.
  5. Panama. Just bring a little money and they will deify you and life is relaxing and inexpensive. Thailand. Amazing food and beaches and it is dirt cheap but not dirty at all. Spain/Portugal. Best combo of simple, country life and cosmopolitan access. If you can buy your way into Canada, Vancouver and Montreal are two of the greatest cities ever created.
  6. He means there may be a rotation, but Wingo will be on the field most of the time.
  7. I didn't see the show, but historically McElroy is a pretty big Horns fan. He's usually very complimentary and knowledgeable about the team.
  8. Rocky Top is an actual song. Boomer Sooner is just marching band diarrhea.
  9. Sadly, National Lampoon couldn't exist today. But it was brilliant and hilarious in its time. Influenced by the original Second City Theatre, it then served as an inspiration for Saturday Night Live and Second City TV. Back when comedy was ask no quarter, give no quarter.
  10. Last year a 5th round pick made ~$455K, so it will be more this year. And he may go a lot earlier, or a team may go underslot near the top of the first round and save money for later picks. I don't think we can assume anything.
  11. Grahovic was rated 146 last year. This year, our two Westlake shortstops, Rainer is 10 and Gillen is 28.
  12. Rainer is certainly going to get paid several million dollars to avoid college. Rodriguez seems far more likely to hit campus. Oh, you probably mean the Austin Westlake ss Theo Gillen? Yeah, he's getting paid too.
  13. Well, I imagine we were in school before you arrived. I think he graduated in '80, I was '82.
  14. Not to mention Flood's old stomping grounds.
  15. Isn't that the second offer to a 2026 kid out of Bergen Catholic?
  16. Sir, what are you doing here with us plebes?
  17. He was outstanding, but the best defensive catcher I've seen on the 40 was Kevin Shannon. He couldn't hit a basketball with a canoe paddle, but his defense and throwing was unmatched, IMO. He actually squatted on the ground while catching but was quicker than a mongoose back there with a missile launcher of an arm. His defense was such that he was selected for the USA national team and the Yankees drafted him knowing he couldn't hit.
  18. Willie Lyles was his bagman in Texas. Per OTF, Sark has heavily re-engaged with Kelshaun Johnson and Chris Jackson with Tanook Hines.
  19. Because the NIL didn't pussy out, went the extra mile, which shows that they are flexible and not one note fools. The Longhorn NIL will continue to be operated in a sensible, sustainable fashion.
  20. Huh. Lots of people here proclaiming that WR recruiting is such that they are somewhat fungible. Guess we'll see tomorrow when the WR that we were certain Sark wouldn't lose - the recruit "we had to have" - takes his stock portfolio to Eugene.
  21. A poster whose handle is "well_endowed_ag." SMDH.
  22. Everyone who should have knowledge of this recruitment says we prioritized Smith Ogoba over Jones.
  23. It's such a low bar that it makes it a little hard to tell, but I think we broke them beyond repair. It's like someone who takes too much acid and fries their brain.
  24. Played his freshman and sophomore years at Keller Central. Committed to Va Tech.
