  1. Derian. Hatcher. That is all.
  2. RIP Jim Dent. He was one of the earliest black golfers on the PGA tour. He was one of the longest hitters, particularly for the time he played given more recent advances in clubs. I got to play a practice round with him for the Colonial Pro-AM when I was a junior in high school. You had to be 18 to play in the actual Pro-AM, so I settled for the practice round. My cousin, who played in the Indians minor league system, made it possible for me to join him, Mr. Dent and Duane Kuiper. Jim Dent was very kind to me that day, and hoo boy, he drove the ball a country mile.
  3. He said three, maybe four. He also said that USC, A$M and LSU's recruiting pitches all lead with NIL. Which is building a foundation for a house of cards.
  4. Most of you guys don't hang out in the high school football thread very much; this is an extension of his schtick that originated there. Passive aggression trying to masquerade as wit. It's boring and tiresome. And witless.
  5. Just more of the same out of Lincoln.
  6. Hey, if it was good enough for David Copperfield it's good enough for a deep snapper.
  7. These charges will either be completely dismissed or downgraded to jaywalking. The only thing Brooks has to fear is Sark and Flood, and he should be very afraid of them. I'm sure that Sark tells parents that they can entrust their sons to his care, that they will go to class, get their degrees and keep out of trouble. He's gotta pissed as a bear with a sore paw.
  8. If he blew 0.00, it makes me wonder why he was pulled over in the first place. And if a butthurt cop decided he wanted to bag a Longhorn athlete and didn't care for what. Doesn't excuse driving around with a vape pen, but Christ, someone had an attitude that night.
  9. Exactly my thoughts as I read it.
  10. I think Raiders are Quinn's best last chance.
  11. Cam to Philly
  12. Hope so. He's been mocked to them a few times.
  13. Success is always imitated. Not a new concept.
  14. I'm just glad the Bengals didn't draft Barron. No Horn should spend time in the Gulag Cincinnati.
  15. Other than politics, Lubbock and Idaho have zero in common.
  16. I've gotten the impression that he doesn't have good hands and isn't always where he's supposed to be in his routes.
  17. I think it was $3 per semester hour my freshman year (1978) and increased to $4 the next year. UT was harder to get into then, but a whole helluva lot less expensive.
  18. He was a great partner for Ron. Those broadcasts were for people who loved college football, in the days before espn decided to make everything an episode of Glee.
  19. Wasn't the conventional wisdom that RT wouldn't let Haith implement his offense?
  20. Carl Crawford chose baseball over becoming Tommy Frazier, pt 2 at Corn Aggie.
  21. More front offices are looking to sign their top prospects to long-term extensions early which provides both parties financial certainty. Which, to believe Bobby and Gerry, is likely football, since they both declare is why he chose the Horns. But a whole lot can change in a couple of years. Like someone posted upthread, it's good to have options.
