  1. Oh, hell yeah. Now just reel in Austin Goosby and Cam Williams and I will be one gruntled Longhorn.
  2. Agree with Oscar, but my vote goes to Wilt. Other overlooked offensive juggernauts are David Thompson, Kareem and George Gervin.
  3. I have given this some thought and whew, boy, you have posed a difficult question. All I can come up with for matching academic and athletic futility is Rhode Island. But it's in a suburb of Providence so that's already better than Starkville. Fresno St?
  4. As out of left field (or absurd or insane, choose your preferred adjective) as this is, I wish Nick Townsend had been cross-training in the backfield. He did everything for Dekaney, including RB and Wildcat. He's big, monstrously strong and very fast for his size. We've already seen how physical he is blocking. Doubtless it is too late for this, but it might have provided dividends.
  5. That DBs last name is really Outhouse? He must take tons of shit.
  6. Shaw and Brevard get more snaps against running teams. We have better pass rushing DTs.
  7. Yeah, I noticed Hutson whiffing a few times "downfield," missing blocks to unlock edge plays. Is he really such an OL Svengali, guiding our line, that we can't risk playing someone more aggressive? Genuine question, because to my eye he's a liability.
  8. Or just call it The OU Game. My first was in 1967 (I was 7 and yeah I'm old) and I never heard it called different until the 90s.
  9. I'm slightly more optimistic. Pre-conference play I am right there with you, but our roster is better than last year, the coaching staff is light years better, and our aforementioned pre-con is crap and allows the new teammates time to meld. I think we can break even in the SEC, maybe a smidge better. I think we reach 20 wins before post season play.
  10. From your lips to God's ears
  11. It really is weird, I can remember a time when he was excellent. Did he suffer a head injury or something?
  12. I think it's those pesky research doctorates holding Tech back. SMU and Baylor have been pouring $$$ into doctorate programs and research projects. TCU awards fewer doctorates than the aforementioned colleges but their entry level salaries roughly double the other Texas schools. Tech awards a lot of doctorates but their entry level salaries are lower than almost any other Texas college.
  13. Apparently the big programs disagreed with your brothers. I mean, Holy Cross, is he studying for the priesthood?
  14. Thanks, I haven't experienced the singular pleasure of throwing up in my mouth in many a year.
  15. A similar situation currently exists at GaTech. I'm pulling for them, except when or if we play them.
  16. Gerry sounded optimistic...
  17. horseshit rough the passer call on the Huskies
