  1. Mitchell and Morris are going to raise the athleticism on the team by leaps and bounds.
  2. No prediction, but Camilla Osorio Serrano is tugging at my heartstrings. Sarona Cirstea and Angie Kerber have some competition for my affectionate fandom.
  3. Some are to the manor born and destined to be the hero, others of more modest origins must settle in as a grinder.
  4. I am loathe to refer back to sunshine pumping practice reports, but wasn't it reported by a few different people that Juan Davis has the best hands on the team? If there is even a scintilla of truth here, perhaps Sanders finds his way back to defense. Isn't Helm supposed to be the in line TE?
  5. Ozzie is not overrated but Vizquel certainly is. Ozzie has total 76.5 WAR, Omar has total 45.6. Mark Belanger - the only SS I ever saw who was better defensively than Ozzie - has 39.5 Defensive WAR. If he had been just a .240 career hitter he would have considerably more total WAR than Vizquel.
  6. Jalen Catalon did the eyes emoji earlier and now Hogs all over twitterdom are uber-confident.
  7. Alex Rodriguez was light years better at shortstop than Jeter. The Yankees acquired A-Rod on the condition that for the sake of clubhouse peace he would move to third and Captain Jeter would remain shortstop because he was beloved by teammates and fans and the NY media. A-Rod is the greatest all-around shortstop in history. Not the greatest fielder, but an outstanding one, and the best offensively.
  8. Blount was physical and grabby and was allowed to play that way, Sanders was never allowed to take those kind of liberties. When the rules regarding defensive backs grabbing and physically harassing receivers all over the field was changed, it was known as the Mel Blount Rule. And Everson Walls, for all his INTs, was an empty suit if ever there was one. Darrell Green, Willie Wood and Herb Adderly are in the next tier, but as others have stated above, Neion Deion is in a sphere all his own.
  9. ESPN+ doesn't mean Gallindo & Blanks, does it?
  10. Any starting lineup that doesn't include Kitan Crawford is negligence on the coaching staff.
  11. If you peer closely enough, you can make out the faint portmanteau inspiration for puppetudes, but pizmotality is the real puzzler.
  12. He has the requisite background for OU female relations. I'm pretty sure those credits will transfer with ease.
  13. Now, I know you know the proper lyric, but for others: "revved up like a deuce, another runner in the night."
  14. DFW is littered with high school teachers and coaches who graduated from Arkie. Mansfield and Arlington in particular, and they are not shy about steering athletes to their alma mater.
  15. It's not Hamlet, it's Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead.
  16. At the very least I would hope that Joseph gets cashiered. The only untouchable on the defensive staff should be Bo Davis.
  17. It's been a while since I last saw Pretty Maids All in a Row, but she may have dropped the laundry in it.
  18. Rio Bravo was Howard Hawks' and John Wayne's rebuttal to producer Stanley Kramer's 1952 rebuke of the Hollywood Blacklist, High Noon. Kramer was known for his polemical films like Inherit the Wind, Judgment at Nuremberg, The Defiant Ones and Guess Who's Coming to Dinner. Wayne was incensed by High Noon as he was a huge supporter of the Blacklist. So he approached Hawks and HH adapted Rio Bravo from a short story. The result is diametrically opposed to High Noon.
