  1. Hear, hear. (Getting my pot-shot in!)
  2. The direct answer is most likely not. A guy that size likely had a few genetic tests in his life and thorough questioning on previous medical issues. The genetic testing testing, echocardiogram, imaging etc for the Draft would have been fairly extensive. Without saying more, I hope it is a rare, single occurrence for him ***so long winded way of saying, there was not much more to do to screen him for this beyond the reading of his medical records and in house testing etc.
  3. Your first sentence answers the question - no one but Wemby and his treating doctors know. If this is a recurrent issue that he is predisposed, then that could be managed by medications. Some people play on anti-coagulation, with known risks of bleeding. There are structural reasons to have these clots, and often for athletes, that requires surgery. Right now? 7-8 for danger to himself and long-term complications/recurrence that could endanger his career.
  4. Well… that’s not what I asked for. Happy for Blake.
  5. FYI: trade is official. Fox to possibly debut Wednesday night vs ATL. Will wear #2. According to RJ Marquez (fuck me for being old and not understanding X/twatter)
  6. I’m hoping the 3 picks aren’t Spurs picks. At least one of Atlanta’s and a separate one, then hoping they convinced Chicago to pay a first rounder to off load LaVine. Well well well, I guess I have to dust off the greatest game ever
  7. My only offering in this matter is this regarding Cuban and the Adelsons: the Adelson’s and Cuban struck a deal that includes a handshake agreement on future casinos in Texas. Apparently both groups feel that this is happening (I have no clue or care on the matter), and Cuban wanted in with them. But I believe a casino close to a new arena or something similar as well as part-ownership for Cubes was “the deal”.
  8. Johnson and Collins make it work financially per the reports. Have to think additional young player and picks. Guess I have to pay attention again
  9. Ouch, but comedic effect intended. In truth, I feel that nothing needs to change coaching-wise. Continuity and n the staff is undervalued IMO and I am NOT in favor of that. Can a fan nit-pick? Sure, but Sark seems smart enough not to change things just to change them. As I said, I’m watching this thread for analyst changes.
  10. I’ve never liked the Joseph hire that’s all I’m saying. I think he’s been a recruiter more than a coach at his previous stops and it was a bit of a comfort hire. I think he has done less over the long haul than the other defense staff that has stayed on. He’s the weakest link on the top defense in CFB. He was gifted a tremendous athlete and motivated DB in Barron. It would be tragic if he had fucked that up. But that’s like saying that the OSU secondary coach is the best ever because Downs is a freak.
  11. Agree. Have to think this is to be a low-key thread apart from new analysts
  12. Can we get rid of Terry Joseph? This is my annual time to bitch that the secondary is not up to par - but the safeties were great and recruits consistently mention Gideon. So….
