  1. I should have explained this better. I still think of Barron as a NB/STAR. Mukuba will be gone at Safety. And Gavin Holmes will gone at CB. Overall, DT is the only position right now that we will need to use the portal to get starter-level players. Everything else would be about rounding out experience in the 2-deep, if needed.
  2. That team with a pulse is Bowling Green coming off a bye week.
  3. https://search.google.com/search-console/report-spam I don't think the Google algorithm will like gigemgazette getting reported several times for low quality content
  4. https://rolltide.com/news/2024/2/23/alabama-football-hires-courtney-morgan-as-crimson-tides-general-manager They have the opposite of a Brandon Harris
  5. While everyone is worrying about Quinn's abdomen, if being ranked #1 is good, Blue's ankle, why Michael Terry would even consider Neb, etc... how about we add to the worry list with some transfer needs for next year too QB: 0. We are set with Arch, Trey, and KJ RB: 1-2. Seems like we should have a depth of 6 every season. With Blue gone and uncertainty on how CJ and Clark will recover, this number might be 2. WR: 1, maybe 2? Even though we are bringing in 5 stars and we will Wingo, Cook, Moore, etc., I don't think Sark will turn down an elite talent if it's there. TE: 1? Helm and Davis will be gone; Washington and Niblack will be back + Townsend. Does this room need another player? OL: 0-2? This depends on how much of the right side of the line leaves. There is depth and talent here, but will the staff try to bring in some experience next year? DE: 1? Sorrel is gone, but will Burke leave too? Current recruiting class has talent at this position and plenty of talent on the roster now. DT: 2-3. All signs point to bringing in 4-5 DT in the recruiting class this year. But with at least 5 DT leaving after this year, the staff will need the portal to bring in experience. LB: 1. With Gbenda and Blackwell gone, will need to fill in experienced depth. DB: 1-2. Last year's recruiting class should be ready to fill departures at S, NB, and CB next season, but the staff will need to bring in some depth.
  6. Didn't OU just give Venables a contract extension? I think y'all are going to have him for a few more seasons before y'all can afford to fire him and bring on a decent coach. But I'm all for OU Jimbo-Elkoing themselves into Greece like money troubles... So have at it!
  7. Pretty easy to guess who one of the other two is: Venables / OU
  8. Vomiting can be a sign of a concussion. He took a good hit on that QB run attempt for a TD. This obviously doesn't concern A&M or his parents.
  9. Wording like this make me think this was written by AI
  10. Freeman had the head to head win over Elko last season. And that was coming off the blunderous loss to Ohio State.
  11. That last paragraph just shows how much making it up that guy is doing on this recruitment. DK announces he is deciding within the next day = Oregon lock for this 9.95er. No sources, nothing else.
  12. The approach being broken at this one position is what sticks out to me. DT recruiting had a high risk profile this year since there aren't a lot of great in state DT options, we replaced our DT coach, and we went big game hunting for national targets. Yet, it didn't appear that Texas had a strategy or mitigations to match this risk. For example, there weren't any backup DT options brought in for June official visits or visits during the spring. It doesn't make sense why Texas has a bad approach at this one position and not the others.

  14. Sounds like we might learn today the strength of the Texas NIL vs Alabama NIL
  15. Reminds me of this scene from the Chernobyl series Can anyone dub this to fit the current aggie context?
  16. Good thing there are eleventy billion select teams in Houston. I swear there are more select baseball teams than Mexican food restaurants in Houston.
  17. Any updates on all these aggie lawyers putting together rock solid cases to sue the pants off UT and Schloss for unsportsmanlike conduct? I need more misery to scroll through
  18. Aggie media at the presser:
  19. The Omaha airport is such a depressing experience. Terrible place to process all that is going on for aggie fans
  20. Schloss can go 0 - 1,000,000 as a head coach here, and it will be worth it for what happened today.
  21. Maybe Brooks is the guy Gerry mentioned yesterday as having given silents to two schools. Gerry was saying this when he was talking about Texas possibly having 4 silents, but didn't know for sure because one guy had likely given silents to two schools.
  22. Based on how Gerry and CJ are wording their percentages/trends takeaways, sounds like Moore, Mills, and Pettijohn are silents.
  23. I think Fasusi and Haywood are the only elite guys they are in on beyond what they have committed. They will get decent guys, some that we would want in our class. But I don't see them making a push for a top 5 class. Somewhere around #10 seems about right.
  24. I am really bothered by the number of posters in this thread that are double spacing after a concluding punctuation mark. It's one space people. This is the way of the world now.
  25. I agree. Going 8-4 is really, really special from the perspective of keeping the mediocrity trend going. Kinda like seeing Khris Davis hit .247 four years in a row. Special to see, but doesn't amount to anything meaningful.
