It's pretty simple , if the committee is only going to look at w/L we might as well fire them all and just use computers.
Either way if they are going to smooth brain this 3 > 2 loss bs totally missing the field for the magnitude of our wins then we should schedule the games accordingly.
I say this as someone who loves big early season match ups , but if the committee is going to act brain dead then we should be playing rice instead of blue bloods until the TV dealers get their heads out of their asses
ND struggled to put up 25 BC with like 5 take aways
OU struggled against coachless LSU
A&M barely beat Arkansas
Alabama was a few butterfingers away from losing to Auburn
People can pick on some our struggles but they are not unique.
What is unique is texas has been trending uupwhile everyone else is still on the struggle bus while rocking up wins against much stiffer competition.
I'd love to blame their initial position on bad legal team but nothing LSU shows they are remotely competent.
They likely got appropriate advise , chose what seemed like the best/cheapest and unlikely option that was advised against and went with it
Embarrassing themselves even more , and paying more to the lawyers for being even more incompetent than anyone believed.
Best job is fired HFC , second best job is their legal teams
I dont under the general sentiment struggling against MSU or Kentucky is what bombed us
lots of top teams have very commonly struggled against shitty teams and still made it
you don't post this , you have CDC call ESPN and tell them to press on the committee to think about the broader implications on OOC scheduling if they fuck this up
Always makes me wonder what turns people take them in life to think "you know what would be a good idea, let's jump on children's trampolines dressed like a rainbow of umpalumpa" and have at least 2 other people agree , commit , and go through with it
you failed to account for TV viewership metrics , we beat a&m and it would not surprise me to see the committee twist itself to make texas as the first 9-3 team to participate in the playoffs
we don't need to, this was discussed at length 2 years ago by bama when they got in over FSU
and its been discussed this year at length already
they are probably hoping we drop to a&m , or tennessee beats vandy or any handful of other small outcomes that makes this a non issue. they can tweak around the results one final time, and beating #3 gives them a lot of options
there's a ton of ADs in the committee who are not unaware of what leaving us out with our schedule will do
hopefully we force them to make a decision , because it definitely will cause ramifications one way or another
