Be fair, he could do it, but he'd need to lay off the

10-2, aggy will beat this team unless they play a lot better than they have in a month and a half or so.
At Arkansas will be tough too - we are there Super Bowl.
after losing to LSU you can bet old tits magee has Texas circled on his farmers almanac

I'm really hoping they face the same spot where no proven OC worth a shit is going to take the risk of trying to deal with a hot coach on a hot seat, some unknown outgoing transfers trying to find better homes, questions marks a shit ass QB , a shit ass oline and 6 months to fix the world before season kickoff just to be highly likely of looking for a new job again in another 6 months

Feels like the way this season is shaping up for LSU vs Georgia in Atlanta with Texas / Tennesse / A&M fighting for at large playoff spots.

Venables really might set OU football back 25 years at this rate, this is fucking glorious

Not to mention blowing big leads and holding on to win is a DeBoer speciality
Up 21-7 versus Arizona, held onto win 31-24
Up 29-18 on Oregon, held onto win 36-33
Up 22-10 on ORST, held onto win 22-20
Up 20-3 on Oregon in the PAC 12 CCG, held onto win 34-31
Up 34-21 on Texas, held onto win 37-31
Up 30-7 on Georgia, held onto win 41-34
thats almost turtle tom levels of blowing a lead

I love how these gonads forget three important details
1. we recently beat georgia in a sugar bowl
2. we beat the SEC champion LAST YEAR AT THEIR HOME
3. we were a few small plays away from playing in the championship LAST YEAR
their whole world is moron colored by SEC echo chamber bs

Aggy would prefer any path where Texas loses even if it lowers their own likelyhood of contention.

they made a major mistake in promoting Littrel.
Lebby was already hated at OU for his shitty offense, and he was the brains of the offense. He knew he was hated, and so he took the first ride out of there to MSU
Venables decided to promote within for some consistency, its not wrong when the offense is working well but DG was putting a lot of work in to make things work. Littrel is the shitty version of Lebby who architected their offense. Now that its not working he doens't know how to fix it, and they having some freshman at QB who dont have the experience either and a new offensive line who also doesn't have the depth or experience to cover deficiencies. We've seen how this works out with Charlie Strong, and its spectacularly bad. With the portal era its possible to fix the issue more quickly but these are not quick fixes. You also need a name at OC to attract people.
We again saw this with Charlie Strong, and we had to fly our AD to fucking nowhere's ville to entice some shitty OC to even take the job , who was over paid, and fired a year later when we fired Strong.
What I'm hoping to see is a similar set of issues, we see Venables fired next year after another shitty year and OU really stuck in a hard place trying to figure out what to do next combining with churning through Offensive Coaches and Offense Schemes that really sets back the OU offense for years.

Week 10, 2024 - Texas Vs. Florida

I really doubt Lagaway will be 100% even if he plays, but can't blame a kid for wanting to play a big home in front of his family.
It does put a lot of pressure on their OLine to protect him against our Defense, probably not a great way to come back from an injury.
Related - Vanderbilts QB definitely was missing a step after playing us , I hope he gets better for the road ahead and spoils another game or two (Tennessee and LSU up ahead)
