  2. The email from them on 11/30 is literally titled "Boost Your Spot in Line for Texas Football Bowl Game Tickets!"
  3. Agreed, I just think it is offering a bit of false hope when you are dangling the bowl game language, when people have no idea what it takes to actually be in that spot.
  4. I think the most annoying thing was the emails from the athletic department to "boost your spot in line" for bowl game tickets by donating more to LHF without giving any estimate of what that spot needs to be to get tickets. I am ranked about 6,200 so am anticipating not being successful.
  5. I have a couple tickets to the UConn game I can’t use - if anybody wants them for free, shoot me a PM
  6. Anybody have a streaming link? I’m in Mexico and YouTubeTV + VPN isn’t working.
  7. I caught a t-shirt from the mighty fine Gatling gun tonight….gonna proudly put that size small bad boy on my grown ass man body
  8. A bit off topic here, but I was in an Austrian mountain town this summer where they filmed some of Spectre. They had a cool museum/experience at the top of the mountain and some badass props from all the Bond movies. If you ever find yourself in Solden, go check it out.
  9. Completely agree. As I found myself in that same hour-long wait to get in the entrance and worrying a whole bunch of people could get hurt, I was thinking maybe this is the last time I would be going to the game until massive improvements are done. Everything about the logistics was a fucking nightmare.
  10. Putting the game aside, that was the most miserable experience I ever recall having at the fair/getting in and out of the Cotton Bowl. Talk about a sea of humanity.
  11. Glad that Yamas seems to be doing better/have their shit together. I went one of the first couple weeks it was open and despite the food being alright, it was probably the worst dining experience I have had for a place at that kind of price point.
  12. Tailgate was great - thanks to all who make it happen!
  13. I’ll be there with a few peeps. I’ll wait to make my Texas One donation until we get there!
  14. Couldn't have asked for a better set list for my first time seeing Pearl Jam.
  15. My wife went to a girl’s dinner so I snagged a single for Pearl Jam tonight - I’m a casual fan and have never seen them, but I’m pretty stoked.
  16. I still send this video to my buddies on Saturdays. This shit was so awesomely bad during our college era, but it (mostly) brings back good memories, as we didn’t lose much at home in those days.
  17. Most NYC MSG games are probably corporate seats aside from the university sections. Even though there were no seats “available” last year, you could probably get a lower level seat for $20 or less the day of. I tried listing one extra for 50 percent of face and couldn’t get a bite (even with Duke being one of the teams) - ended up just giving it away to a friend.
  18. The @ Tulane game in 2002 was one of my favorite college road trips.
  19. Non-conference schedule is out. The home games certainly suck balls. 2023-24 Texas Men's Basketball Non-Conference Schedule Day Date Opponent (Site) Mon. Nov. 6 Incarnate Word (Austin, Texas) Fri. Nov. 10 Delaware State (Austin, Texas) Wed. Nov. 15 Rice (Austin, Texas) Sun. Nov. 19 Empire Classic vs. TBA (Madison Square Garden in New York, N.Y.) Mon. Nov. 20 Empire Classic vs. TBA (Madison Square Garden in New York, N.Y.) Sun. Nov. 26 Wyoming (Austin, Texas) Thurs. Nov. 30 Texas State (Austin, Texas) Wed. Dec. 6 BIG EAST-Big 12 Battle at Marquette (Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wis.) Sat. Dec. 9 Houston Christian (Austin, Texas) Sat. Dec. 16 vs. LSU (Toyota Center in Houston, Texas) Fri. Dec. 22 Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (Austin, Texas) Fri. Dec. 29 UNC Greensboro (Austin, Texas) Mon. Jan. 1 UTA (Austin, Texas)
  20. I think 2nd place conference finish and Sweet 16 is a reasonable expectation for the talent on the roster. If some of the "ifs" go our way - Mitchell takes a major step up, Hunter plays more consistent/is healthy, Disu stays healthy, etc., the team could easily surpass those expectations.
  21. /csb I went to Des Moines to watch the Horns during March Madness…none other than Mike Pence and a couple of his goons sat behind me for the first half of Arkansas-Kansas. Seeing as I didn’t want to get kicked out of the arena prior to our game, I only asked him who he was rooting for. He replied, “I’m rooting for whoever you’re rooting for.”
  22. Went to Duran Duran at Moody - I thought they sounded great.
