  1. I have a safety deposit box at my bank so most of the valuables are there. The safe if for stuff I infrequently use, but don't want the hassle of going to the bank to get them ever 3-6 months I want to use them. I'm not planning on keeping the Hope Diamond at home. And seriously... have you guys never watched Bourne Identity?
  2. 12 and 10
  3. Bolting down helps. I've seen pictures of people adding steel plates to make it heavier, also a video where someone reinforced his safe with mesh and quickcrete, making it heavier, fireproof and harder to cut open. I'd prefer not to do anything based on a 5-minute video. I live in a pretty safe area and don't expect a Neil McCauley crew to hit my house. It's more for documents and some jewelry.
  4. I'm looking for a home safe. Not too big, but big enough to store my passports from various countries, 500K Euros and a handgun. Must be bolt-down and be fireproof enough. Something that can't be cut open too easily. Any suggestions? I know some of you have gun safes so figured I'd ask here.
  5. She also told me in no certain terms that she doesn't want to hear what I have to say. So... I haven't spoken to her since Friday night. It wasn't too hard since I was out of the house most of the weekend - camping with my daughter and doing dad/son stuff afterwards. But I've kept my mouth shut in case in my tiptoeing around, I break another fragile eggshell that is her feels. She's really good at cold warfare, so we'll see who breaks the truce first. It's been 58 hours and the clock ticks on.
  6. Are you saying I'm the lube / conduit for real-life shart experiences onto this thread? Not sure if I should be flattered...
  7. I went camping with the dad & daughters group. The food is always ridiculously good, and there is always plenty of it. There was steak with chimmichurri sauce for dinner, and nachos with birria pork for later night snack. I ripped a few rotten farts, but the tent has good ventilation. One of the dads however, came up to me and told me he shit his pants. Why he told me? I have no clue. But apparently he loved the chimmichurri so much, the steak was just a vehicle to move the sauce from the plate into his mouth. I guess all that olive oil lubed him up pretty good and he made a big ol’ mess. Ended up throwing away his underwear.
  8. Did a lot of “dad”ing this weekend. Took my daughter camping at Joshua Tree with the dads/daughters group. Came back, showered, and took my son to a movie and dinner with the dads/sons group. It was fun, but I’m drop dead tired.
  9. The kids have been body shaming my wife who has recently acquired a few pounds around her buttal area. She complained to me, and in my infinite wisdom said “they’re not wrong though.” She’s been mad at me ever since. That was 4 days ago.
  10. Just noticed the playboy bunny silhouette under her armpit.
  11. The Nissan key fob makes it real. Daddies, not daddy’s.
  12. In Thailand, they turn them into Ladyboys.
  13. Haven’t had Kool-Aid in years… But see ya Pepsi
  14. Now say that in a Seinfeld voice.
  15. Listened to a podcast (Planet Money?) and they made a point that I didn't think about... With the trade deficit, the foreign countries have to spend the dollars somewhere. A lot of it end up being invested back into the US in buying bonds, stocks, businesses, houses, etc. Maybe the orange turd should listen to it, but won't because... NPR.
  16. Wow! The other holy shit is when you break the tail, this happens
  17. It's been a long time since I've been an asshole. I'm sure other people will say I'm an asshole everyday, but fuck 'em. So when I was in 5th or 6th grade, I thought it would be funny to move someone's right as he was sitting now. He landed on his ass but wasn't hurt. They teacher called on me and I lied saying it was an accident. Good thing the guy was pretty mild tempered because he was much bigger than me and could have broken me in half. I still remember his name - Ian Rapson.
  18. Got me looking at Prince Rubert's drop.
  19. My average cost on remaining silver is $29.50 My average on gold was about $1,620/oz. Mostly maples and sovereigns with a few bars in there. I freaking love sovereigns!
  20. Only need 3 words... Buy. Apple. Stock. * kennythetiger beat me to it
  21. No, but the guys do. So... annoying chick who won't suck dick, or get your dick sucked by Urkle?
  22. Hazelnuts have joined the chat.
  23. An oz of gold now buys you 101 oz of silver. It was 88 when when I exchanged silver for gold last January. I'm still sitting on 240 oz of silver that I want to exchange for gold. I know the ratio sucks right now, but should I just bite the bullet and do it?
  24. Good time to be in precious metals. Right @RDCanecutter ? I should have exchanged my silver to gold. The trajectory of gold is skyrocketing compared to silver.
