I admit to selling 200+ oz of silver yesterday - eagles, philharmonics, Indians, bars and a bag of walking liberties. I took a hit compared to what I paid for it, but it's been on my mind to liquidate part of my silver position and buy something more portable - so I turned around and bought 2 gold maples (their gold price made up for some of the loss I took selling the silver).
I was surprised how nonchalant they were about the whole transaction. They counted the 90% silver, opened up 1 tube, and just trusted what I said was in the other tubes.
I have another batch of eagles, rounds and bars that I’m planning to swap for more gold. But don’t despair, I’m still keeping a few hundred ounces of the white shiny.
Random thought… buying all different forms of silver or gold was fun at the time. but if I could do it again, I’d buy just 1-2 types. All future gold purchase will gold maples (best looking bullion IMO) and sovereigns.
