    Agreed on both points.

Still, kind of enjoy him calling out BT, even if it is a wasted effort.

I know many liberals that voted Trump as a fuck you to the DNC establishment and the intolerable wing that had been bastardized to support the limiting of free speech.  Many of those were true anti-war lefties that now feel like the got kicked in the stomach by this.  He lost the respect of many of these types of supporters for this move and rightly so.  The stress from the constant pressure of the MIC must give him the runs, but he definitely is being a little punk bitch with this move in vetoing Congress' bill (THE ENTITY THAT SHOULD BE DECLARING WAR PER OUR CONSTITUTION IN THE FIRST PLACE)  (all caps for emphasis.)

The following is my amount of sympathy for ANYONE who voted for Trump on the basis of what he supposedly believed/would do when in office:

If you believe anything - a single thing - that a con-man says to get you to do what he wants (in this case, vote for him), you fucking deserve every ounce of betrayal you get, and you deserve to be mocked in the streets for the rest of your days.

Fucking idiots.  Left, right, doesn't matter -- fucking idiots, all of them.

  3. Our Norwegian friends are heading up to Dallas tonight to watch the Stars playoff game.  They intend to drive back after the game (figure the game ends around 10:00).  That would put them on I-35 from Dallas to Austin between 10:00 and 1:00 or so.  I've advised them to pack a change of clothes, and plan on staying in a hotel on the south side of Dallas, at best.

I might drive home in this shit, but they have NO idea what they'd be driving in, and even if he can handle it, I doubt that he can handle being in a minivan with three women about to piss their pants as hail comes down.

    So the question is:

Is this a slavish historical restoration or do they re build using modern technology, materials, and re interpretive design concepts  ?  I'm not really sure I wanna see a Disneyesque recreation. I want to know what's original/old and what's post fire.

The main stone structure seems to have escaped structural failure, but I'm betting the heat has caused undiscovered issues.  What do they do with the roof ?  The long span timbers, and shaped bents needed on that roof aren't just laying around. Where does one source the acres of timber you'd need to reconstruct just the complex roof.

The new Jason's Deli  next to Conan's Pizza on Anderson is never packed since no one really knows it's open yet.

That's actually not a bad suggestion.  You can do Jason's for the price, and you really will have pretty decent privacy.

$10 a head.  Shit.  You can hardly find a takeout "lunch box" type deal for that.

  6. Okay, I had an earlier post on our planned Norway trip, but we're changing things up.  We HAD been looking at going to Bergen, and maybe Lofoten (we like the outdoors/nature take on Norway, so want to do some of that).

Based on talking with our Norwegian exchange student, we are going to Alesund and Gierangerfjord (my wife is pining for the fjords).  Figuring that if we spend 3-4 days in that area, we can spend some time really driving/trekking/boating around gierangerfjord,, and maybe even areas up closer to Alesund (found a cool cabin by the sea nearby that would be ideal).  That would even allow us to go to Runde island to hike and see the puffins (my daughter is obsessed with puffins, so she'd be thrilled by that jaunt).

But, anyone with experiences in and around that area?  Of course we want to see Gieranger and the various view points around it.  But we also like kayaking, fishing (maybe salmon fishing in the river?  Maybe saltwater fishing, although I understand it's mostly cod fishing, and is less exciting bottom fishing), maybe renting a boat (several places rent 25 hp boats) and tooling around the water for half a day, hiiking, etc.  So, any thoughts along those lines, can't-miss places, etc., would be appreciated.  Late June visit.

so let's for a minute assume these homeowners survived the shootout and killed these cops.

they would be in jail or out on bond already charged for murder one, right?

why are the cops just cruising? this happened three fucking months ago now.

Answered your own question, in bold.

  8. Question on the TCAD site.
My house under 'Improvement Building" shows this line:
Type Description Class CD Exterior Wall Year Built SQFT
    604 POOL RES CONC * - 5+   0 1.0
I don't have a pool, and most of my neighbors without pools don't have this line.
A neighbor with a pool has an identical line, but his has a year build filled in, whereas mine shows 0.
Am I being appraised as if I have a pool?

A pool....and a pond. The pond would be good for you.
  9. Translation: “To the people of France I would like to say that Notre Dame Cathedral was like a gift to the human race. We share the pain but we also thank you for this gift to civilization. "

    Fucking seriously.

Whatever the opposite of “laughingstock” is, that’s what we’d be if we elected someone like this.

  10. It's one thing to know Michele Bachmann is stupid as shit, but it's another to read her own words:

    http://www.rightwingwatch.org/post/michele-bachmann-we-will-never-see-a-more-godly-biblical-president-than-trump/

Former Minnesota congresswoman and current Religious Right “pastor to the United Nations” Michele Bachmann was a guest on Jan Markell’s “Understanding The Times” radio program last weekend, where she prayed that God will expose those in the “deep state” who are supposedly working to undermine President Trump, whom she declared to be the most godly and biblical president she has ever seen.

“The deep state are people who have permanent jobs within the federal government,” Bachmann said. “Not everyone is a part of the deep state, but you don’t need everyone. If you have just a hundred people who are in line with the goals to advance cultural and economic Marxism or to advance the goals of Islamic jihad, for instance, and they have jobs within the federal government, they can do very serious damage.”

Bachmann said that Christians must pray that God will expose such forces so that they can be removed from the government.
“This is how I pray,” she said. “I pray according to the scripture which says we need to pray to expose, ask the Lord to expose the hidden deeds of darkness. And he has remarkable ways of doing this, where you can only say it’s the hand of God who exposes the hidden deeds of darkness. And that’s one way I would ask your listeners to pray, to please pray that God would expose these hidden deeds of darkness. And he does. Trust him, he will.”

“In my lifetime I have never seen a more biblical president than I have seen in Donald Trump,” Bachmann said later in the program. “He is highly biblical and I would say to your listeners [that] we will, in all likelihood, never see a more godly, biblical president again in our lifetime. So we need to be not only praying for him, we need to support him, in my opinion, in every possible way that we can.”

It’s true. I could cite you passages from the book of Rawdogging Porn Stars While Your Wife is Pregnant, or the book of Fuck Over Your Honest, Hardworking Contractors, and especially the book of Lying all the Fucking Time, and they’ll back her up. Wait...your Bible doesn’t have those? Commie.

I still don't follow.  if the force of a rain drop that forms high up in the clouds is not able to punch a hole in my head during a rain shower, how is a water drop originating from a leaf/tree branch/arching off a fire hose able to be accelerated so much that it would cause injury?

He doesn't mean "drops" like "raindrops."  He means "drops" as in "hey, have that tanker do his drop of 25,000 gallons over there."  Giant slug of water, all in one "piece" hits your head.  Doesn't kill you for the same reason that dropping a piece of gravel onto your head from 20 feet won't hurt you, but dropping a boulder will kill you.

I've explained it succinctly several times.  It's never arrogant or entitled to exercise your due process rights.  You keep belaboring a point that no one is arguing (i.e., whether it's a wise decision).  I don't know why you keep belaboring that point.

"arrogant and entitled" is a motivation.  You are applying that modifier incorrectly.
