  1. Thank god, we're all ready for her to retire. The jerking off was still good, but her arthritis was starting to impact the massages and she can't have that.

Your aunt, with the Parkinson’s tremors tho....she’s got folks lined up around the block.
  2. so why only 1% so far?

He really just entered the public conversation. His name recognition is way low.

And....even if it wasn’t...we’re an Idiocracy. We’re too dumb and assholish to elect him.

  3. Paxton apparently just filed an enforcement suit against the owner.

Laughable. Look at the AG’s enforcement record statewide. If you are asking “what record?”, you’re asking the right question.

  4. wisconsin's republican legislature was so concerned about hamstringing the incoming democratic governor that they forgot to properly call themselves into session, violating wisconsin's state constitution, which made all of their acts in their lame-duck session void.

Seriously. The sheer volume of shooting themselves in the dick by the MAGA types is amazing.

I think you are overestimating the power of the Supremes to overturn legimate and well thought out federal laws.

But he's not overestimating the ability of the Supremes to sustain really, horrifically bad and unconstitutional executive actions because of public/political mood -- Korematsu says hello.

Can't find the post but someone was asking who sees maga hats anymore. Well I'm on vacation in DC right now and almost every group of middle schoolers are filled with kids wearing hats. It's....disturbing.

From what I hear from friends in DC, the last two years have been like 'pilgrimage to Mecca" for the deplorable crowd.  They've finally captured the enemy city, and they are all going to check out their new prize.

I've said this here, and a jillion other places: the government employees who save more than all others put together aren't soldiers, firemen, or cops.  They are the folks who operate and maintain water and sewer systems.  Delivering clean water, and removing dangerous water, are the most important advances in public health and safety ever.

We in rural areas wholeheartedly agree. My water comes in a pipe from 50 miles away. It NEVER runs out, and it's ALWAYS clean and delicious.

This is one of the things that a lotta folks in this country don't even know about.  Without the USDA, and a lot of funding/backing of development of such infrastructure in rural America, rural America would look like the rural areas of a lot of what folks would call "shithole countries" -- out houses for shitting, and often unreliable and even unsafe well water (not everywhere has great artesian water) for drinking.

These fucktards still believe that they can get away with anything.

    Yes, they believe that.

    And they are correct.

Consequences only matter if you have any sense of shame.  They have none.  Thus, they can get away with everything.  All of it.  "Shoot a man in the face on 5th avenue."  That was not hyperbole.  It was rock-solid truth.

the black plague did not disappear.  there are a few cases and occasionally an outbreak from time to time.  it was bad hygiene and unsanitary conditions that gave it its horsepower back in the day.

edit: people tend to snicker at advances like the toilet, but the people who did the inventing and the people who promoted the usage don't get anything like the credit they deserve for improving the lives of us all.

and that's a damn good order if i do say so myself.

    I want a hamburger...no, a cheese burger...I want a hot dog, I want a milkshake...
