Counterpoint: if he chokes on a Big Mac this week, that appointment ends this week. So....there's that.
Health care costs to employers are skyrocketing this year. You can thank the "Big Beautiful Bill." It issued a SMOOOOOOTH buttfucking to healthcare insurance premiums across the board. Every employer I know is 1) going to take a beating and absorb some of those costs, and 2) pass some of those costs on to their employees, because they're just to high to eat all of em.
That applies to all aspects of the law. Which is why lawyers have been tearing their hair out for a while. Nothing but "crazy Ivans" from the POTUS kills predictability. Calvinball from the courts kills predictability. Can't tell you how many lawyers I know who are so frustrated by our inability to advise our clients on what the law is/how a case should go. When you have to tell them "well, the case law says it should turn out like X, but if Fox News gets hold of it, the Fifth Circuit is going to do somethin utterly wacky," that sucks.
There's really nothing good about this timeline.
Unless, of course, the Big Mac thing happens. That would be nice.
