  1. This. Christianity in America, as a political motivating factor, is mostly a smokescreen, not an actual set of convictions. You win by running a performative over-the-top personality. Period. That's it. We the people have spoken loudly and clearly. Bring on Dem nominee Wooderson, or the Rock or Colbert or whatnot. That's it. That's where we are. Ideas are for fucking losers. Fireworks and insanity is how you win.
  2. Further debasing of our degrees. Texas is going to offer degrees in only two things: Petroleum Engineering, and MAGA studies, within a decade.
  3. Blah blah blah....this, umm, taking away gingers' dignity thing...can that be interpreted to require Bryce Dallas Howard to spend some quality time with Brisketexan? Because that's definitely a dignity-reducing proposition, I am told.
  4. Shit, we're gonna do touristy stuff most of the day. Figure we'll get to Fenway late afternoon, to take in the sights and scenes.
  5. In dealing with bomb squad bidness, I would think that all such assumptions are a bad idea.
  6. Seriously? I'll buy you a non-frosty beverage -- we should definitely all connect before the game outside the ballpark.
  7. Well, the Indians' logo WAS something of a racist caricature. So, I get it. Bottom line, if you're going to name a sports franchise after an ethnic group or something of that sort (as opposed to something more geography-specific, like "Mountaineers," or even locale-related professions, like "Oilers")....it's just a good practice to let that ethnic group speak for themselves and whether they're good with it. E.g., FSU and the Seminoles, named after a specific tribe, which actually has a tribal government that speaks for the tribe - where the Seminoles have specifically approved and work in partnership with the university. I mean...mayb.....nope, can't do it.
  8. Better looking than me? You damn yourself with faint praise, amigo.
  9. Although, based on current pitching rotation, MAYBE we get to see Ohtani pitch on Saturday? That would be cool. Would be my second time to see him play (saw him pitch and hit for the Angels v. the Stros a few seasons ago....and he put on a freaking CLINIC, on both sides of the plate).
  10. Man....back when "women in prison" movies were a whole genre....
  11. This is really it. The world spent months discussing whether Israel was "going too far" in its war against Hamas. Now, these actions aren't remotely close to military actions. They are strikes against civilians. By a government which has numerous mouthpieces who have stated their intent to cleanse Gaza of all Palestinians. It's just indefensible.
  12. The appropriate answer is often "which one?"
  13. I've watched that dude drop $500 at happy hour on a stripper who was never, ever going home with him. Sad and pathetic. Like, even more sad and pathetic than MIA.
  14. Oh, 100%. For conversation, always go with the ugly/unusual stripper. That's just a good rule of thumb across the board.
  15. The bastards don't even realize they can't kill MIA -- he's already dead on the inside, like a stripper. A very, very, very unattractive stripper.
  16. That's actually a good possibility. I know that the lessor of Greenwood is the State of Texas (maybe even UT)....AND....that lease runs out very soon. Like, within the next few years. Was a 99 year lease.....90-something years ago. It's tough to sell a condo in Greenwood these days, for that reason.
  17. Yep. Imagine this: you are white people in America. And you think that you are so oppressed here that it's a better option to.....move to freaking Russia. It's hard to imagine any thinking that's dumber than that, but I'll confess that I'm not an aggy.
  18. You are 100% correct. If you'd like a comparative timeline, there's one available from Germany in the 1930s. And if you compare it by event, we're actually running ahead of schedule on several milestones.
  19. I see we're pretty much to the point where the main Israel-defender line is not to deny that any of these attacks on civilians or aid stations are happening, but solely to launch ad hominem attacks against some people reporting those attacks as "anti-semitic" (while ignoring the fact that numerous mainstream sources are reporting the same events). If any other nation was committing these acts -- say, Russia was doing it -- the criticism would be pretty universal (except for the Russia apologist crowd). But when Israel does it, any and all criticism and calls for consequences are dismissed because "anti-semitism." It's just fucking tired.
  20. Still convinced that particular TCBY is a front/money-laundering outfit. The property taxes alone have to be 10X their annual revenue (nobody is ever there).
  21. Woulda been cooler if you had been holding Debbie Gibson that way then....or today.....
  22. Look, man, if we're gonna Make Slavery Great Again, we gotta get back to the basics. Sugar, King Cotton, they will be the cornerstone of the New America in its Golden Age. Maybe Trump will give a speech about it. We could call it the Cornerstone Speech.
  23. Well, the thing you have to remember is that when the regime uses terms like "vermin" and "subhuman" to refer to us.....they mean it. Just like that other regime that used those terms last century meant it. When you dehumanize the "other," then you can do anything to them. Anything.
  24. Just bought our tickets to the Saturday night Sox game. Sorry, @Sbbruin...but F the Dodgers. Would still be happy to buy you and your son a frosty beverage as we wander around outside the ballpark pre-game.
