  1. Stewart's timeline just got moved up. Mullen will try to close before we can get him on campus with Manning on the 16th.
  2. Yea who knows whats possible this year or next. My feeling is we are gonna come back to earth in the next few games, but the model is set. And we will have some serious transfer help for Bijan's run next year.
  3. Louisiana and California are places to watch in this cycle. Staff ties run deep in those spots. Staff has already used local knowledge to land solid players. Shouldn't be a surprise if we have continued success there. Staff will be much more effective in state in 2023. New relationships have to be formed with lots of major schools. Has to happen as time goes on.
  4. Lots more that goes into it for Owens but Kirby Smart uses his backs well. Look what Sark is doing with that group. Our 3rd and 4th stringers are eating. I've always said Georgia is the model for us, not Bama. Once Saban leaves the SEC will look completely different. We can stack 5 star backs up just like Georgia and get them carries. Difference is, Smart is still stuck thinking the run sets up the pass. Sark knows that creating space with sets and fast players sets up the run. What Bijan is doing right now is great, but if you put him in Sark's offense two years from now he would win the Heisman running away. If Owens doesnt want to step in that role so close to home hes crazy, but he'll follow Manning.
  5. Apologies. I suck at the internet.

  7. I was doing well in crypto horse racing but my horse broke its leg and we had to put it down. They turned it into a paste function.
  8. I think part of the problem is trying to recruit like an SEC team, while being stuck in the Big 12 with a bunch of programs that both hate us and would love to damage us any way they can. Just another reason why we have to leave asap.
  9. NCAA is toothless. No marquee SEC program is worried about it. I wish I could say the same about us, but I’m not so sure there aren’t people within our own athletic department that would support an NCAA investigation against our football team ** cough ** plonsky ** cough **.
  10. Staff isn’t convinced Guilbeau is a corner, like him better at safety. They like LTG a lot more there. And who knows if he even has an NIL deal at TCU. That’s why I put match in quotations. Point is, nice try kid.
  11. Hmmmm LTG decommits right as Guilbeau tried to say we will have to “match” what TCU is gonna do for him with the NIL. Enjoy the glorified AAC big guy.
  12. They’re smart enough to know how recruiting works in today’s environment. He could pull some good players but nothing even close to what Georgia would have for him.
  13. Some might say you are exactly correct.
  14. Thompson and Hudson alone would make this a good class. Both are studs. If you threw Coleman on top that would be fantastic. The thing is if we can get Coleman, we have a decent shot of getting Stewart instead. These kids know what Sark does offensively. Thats not the issue. There's only one way to get a class full of studs. This staff can recruit, but its meaningless with other schools being as competitive as they are on the trail. All we have to do is match their competitiveness and we can easily sign a top 3 class. If we cant compete with them, we'll be lucky to crack the top 10.
  15. I think that’s a good guess. How did we get him to hold off?
  16. There’s movement behind the scenes with getting Harris to hold off. I don’t know what it is exactly, but perhaps Guilbeau got wind of it through Fat Pat. Just speculation since TCU negative recruits the shit out of us.
  17. Man. You give Sark the resources and he will clean up in California. It serves as a great potential pipeline for us to tap into as we try to fill the gaps in state.
  18. It's one of the best kids shows Ive ever seen. My kids love it.
  19. Another thing I'd add is you just wouldnt believe the impact the small guys can have on our success right now. Surly is a tiny corner of the Longhorn universe, yet they've made a very real impact on the NIL. Simply because they want to fucking win. Anyone who wants to win badly, take your little corner of the universe, and impact it positively. Even just spreading the NIL gospel. People have no idea about this stuff. I think there are thousands of alums out there who would buy in if they realized how much juice they could get for their squeeze.
  20. I dont know what our chances are, too early to handicap. It's Schrodinger's recruitment. Right now, we both have no chance at all, and are the leader for his signature. The Mannings know there is a lot of elite talent that wants to play for Sark. What remains to be seen is whether or not we are an empty suit with this SEC move. When in Rome, do as the Romans do. When in the SEC, grind to keep up or get left in the dust. (Where we have been for over a decade.) It's a mentality. Georgia is the model.
  21. I'm in the "I can't take this anymore" camp. If there is a way to help, I'm available. If I was a big cigar, things would look different bc i'd be able to help more quickly and efficiently. I'm not even a little cigarillo. I'm fairly young, but I have a strong UT network and I'm trying to connect the wires where I can hoping the light comes on. The further I get down the rabbit hole, the more encouraged I am about the future. I do get frustrated though, because I want things to go much much faster and it's just a brick by brick process to get ready for our conference move. Right now the formula is simple. Sark + Manning = New era of Texas football. For me almost nothing else matters because I think that duo will wash away a lot of past sins.
  22. The SEC schools laugh at the NIL when it comes to actually getting the players to sign there. Their longstanding infrastructure wasn't just going to give up their ability to steer kids to their schools. It's gonna take years for the NIL to win that fight, a full 4 year cycle I'd think. Arkansas was a wake up call. We will see how we respond.
  23. From Nahlin: Denver denied the veracity of that report (trimming his list to two schools and excluding Texas). He’s pretty private so I’m not wanting to put much of his business out at this time.I’d bet he visits Texas again before deciding or trimming his list.
