  1. I always wondered why they were going the wrong way past the littlefield fountain if they were headed to the stadium.
  2. I was the same way in the first half, we had two penalties one delay of game on purpose to give us more room to punt, and one hold on the punt that didn't really matter no sloppy penalties
  3. I was kinda hoping for roll left on that for old times sake
  4. I loved how Herbie called him out for going too deep on the rush and leaving the lane open earlier then when he played it better on the sack Herbie didn't say shit
  5. Flatter than a tabletop Makes you wonder why they stopped here Wagon must have lost a wheel or they lacked ambition one On the great migration west Separated from the rest Though they might have tried their best They never caught the sun So they sunk some roots down in the dirt To keep from blowin' off the earth Built a town around here And when the dust had all but cleared They called it Levelland, the pride of man In Levelland
  6. I remember it this way too. Sounds bizarre but Baylor was trying hard to jump on the coattails of Texas to the PAC and leave Colorado left behind. Colorado moved first to eliminate any chance of that possibility. They are kinda like your dog that runs out and hops in the truck and sits there for hours before everyone else is readuy to go to make sure they aren't being left behind.
  7. I have an old Randall Knife, but I broke a half an inch off trying to stick it in a tree
  8. Woopdie fucking Doo Tennessee. Not the first name or even 2nd, 3rd, or 4th name I thought of when I found out we were going to the SEC. But yeah, Rocky Top is cool and all, although I never heard anyone from the Texas perspective say anything about "who is the real UT?", so that might just be one of their hangups. ok , cool, hook 'em
  9. Dallas is a rich man with a death wish in his eye
  10. Cultural and physical geography talk not going away Dallas is a woman who will walk on you when you're down, but when you are up, she's the kind you want to take around
  11. I remember drunkenly tumbling down the steps in the aisle of the student section when we scored the go ahead TD against Tech in the Chance Mock game, we had been drinking whiskey in our cokes all game, and I don't remember much else of that game. My girlfriend, now wife, was not impressed, but I guess she forgave me. I wasn't even still a student, but had a friend who was a grad student that got us a block of student tickets or something. Those were the days. Cool story, bro I guess
  12. that was a strike. I don't know if any of y'all noticed
  13. You think Melania's back there taking a shower behind the curtain?
  14. "Radio said there's a Johnny Law in Estelline You know 287 ain't never been a free ride" Cooder Graw
  15. I've been thinking about this quote from Dr. Zhivago a lot over the last year - "Gen. Yevgraf Zhivago: [narrating; on World War I] By the second winter, the boots had worn out... but the line still held. Even Comrade Lenin underestimated both the anguish of that 900-mile long front... as well our own cursed capacity for suffering. Half the men went into action without any arms... irregular rations... led by officers they didn't trust. Officer: [to soldiers] Come on, you bastards! Gen. Yevgraf Zhivago: And those they did trust... Pasha: [leaps out of the trench and begins leading his men in a charge] Come on, Comrades! Forward, comrades! Earth-shakers! [an artillery shell explodes in front of him; he falls to the ground, and the soldiers retreat to their trench] Gen. Yevgraf Zhivago: Finally, when they could stand it no longer, they began doing what every army dreams of doing... [the soldiers begin to leave their trenches] Gen. Yevgraf Zhivago: They began to go home. That was the beginning of the Revolution." That tweet about not having enough people survive to pass on lessons reminds me of what happened to the officers, like Pasha, that the men trusted in that quote. I keep hoping the Russian soldiers will do what they did in WWI and say fuck this, kill any officers that try to stop them, and just go home.
  16. Yep, I took a CPR course recently and was taught that you should focus on chest compressions, and try to get help as fast as possible, Also "Staying Alive" was mentioned as the beat to use. It's also exhausting to continually do chest compressions so it's good if more than one can take turns.
  17. Shoulda flew the Horns at the top of the Hemisfair tower like Seattle flies their 12th man flag on top of the Space Needle
  18. That was one of the funniest things I've seen all day when they obviously missed that his knee was down and just kept digging down deeper
  19. Can't wait until Brando starts talking about Jay Mohr
  20. I walked .9 miles home from Oak Dale Elementary. 0.7 if we risked going down the alley with the scary dog
