It seems like Sark runs a tight ship. We tend to find out support staff moves weeks after they’ve been made.

Potentially a significant loss. I thought we had great evals in defensive recruiting this past cycle, albeit we missed on LB targets.

TCU's Khari Coleman entering transfer portal

TCU defensive end/outside linebacker Khari Coleman has entered the NCAA transfer portal, multiple sources confirmed to HornedFrogBlitz on Tuesday.
Coleman submitted his paperwork to the school on Monday.
The junior is the second TCU defensive end to enter the portal this off-season; he joins Ochaun Mathis as players that have left the program.
A three-star prospect out of New Orleans in the 2020 recruiting class, Coleman had a breakout freshman campaign in 2020. Starting nine games, Coleman finished with 33 tackles and 15 tackles for loss which ranked second in the Big 12 and seventh in the nation. He also recorded three sacks on the year.
For his efforts, Coleman was named the Big 12 Co-Defensive Freshman of the Year.
Coleman’s production dropped in 2021. Missing the first three games due to an injury, Coleman appeared in nine games and made just four starts as Dylan Horton started to emerge in front of Coleman. Coleman finished with just 19 tackles and 2.5 tackles for loss. As a team, TCU ranked dead last in the Big 12 in sacks with just 15 last season.
With TCU hiring Joe Gillespie as its new defensive coordinator, Coleman’s future as a defensive end was nearing an end. Utilizing the 3-3-5 defensive scheme, Gillespie relies on bigger defensive ends. At 226-pounds, Coleman was gearing to make the transition to outside linebacker in the spring and was listed as such on the official TCU football roster.
Choate, Pk, Joseph, and Henry Fernandez are now following, so I assume that we are going to pursue him.

Here’s Marion from a coaching clinic. This guy is a stud. I’m pretty excited to have him here at Texas. He’s an impressive communicator.

FWIW, FCB was literally in the luxury suite brown nosing and watching UT basketball with GP and CDC. If he is reporting coaching staff hires then its probably well sourced. If not, then he is an even bigger doofus than we previously thought.

This is the Saban way. Fill up your analysts with former Head coaches that can take over and maintain continuity should your assistants get poached.
While I think one would be hard pressed in arguing that David Cutcliffe would be anything less than a home run hire as a position coach. He is 67 years old and likely would rather just be an analyst and talent evaluator for the rest of the year. My dream scenario if Millwee moves on next year would be for Todd Dodge to be the next QB coach. He told FCB that his plan is to take this ‘22 year off and then become a college QB coach starting in ‘23.
