  1. Apparently Sark really likes Jaden Alexis
  2. Campbell not taking any visits or talking about recruiting at all makes it sound like he has signed.
  3. At which spots? It’s damn near impossible to start at center without being an EE
  4. Yeah maybe that was poorly worded. We don’t know “enough” might have been more appropriate. I’m not here to get in a big pissing match with anyone. I thought we finally gave our best players the ball and put them in positions to succeed on offense. As other posters have pointed out, the OL seems to have improved over the year and ST is actually an asset for this team again. There was evidence of a team that could be really good(1st half OU) and piss poor(Kansas and Arky). That’s all I was trying to say. I can see the vision of what this thing could be. But obviously it’s up to the players and coaches to get us there.
  5. I never said that he was gonna turn any corner haha I’m just saying that we don’t know either way. Your position of impending doom is just as untenable as the position that you’ve accused me of having. Im sure that you’d agree that there were at least some positive takeaways from this year. As i would agree with you that there were some negatives. We don’t know anything so there’s no reason to bury the guy yet.
  6. I wouldn’t call myself naive. I understand how things work and I know many in the industry who I talk to on a regular basis. I don’t understand how hiring A well respected guy like GP is being spun as a negative. I don’t believe that the UT admin is dumb enough to create division and toxicity within the program by doing something like this without Sarks approval. Especially with the National narrative of big money guys being the problem at UT. Sark would tell folks and nobody would ever want to coach here under this admin. I know that GP has a rep in the recruiting world but I have met him a few times and my dad and used to help run his football camps way back. From my encounters with him, he is a super genuine, family oriented kind of person and it’s known that he respects Sark so it’s kind of a reach to suggest sabotage. Logic says that this reaction is unwarranted. Everyone wants Sark to win big here, why in the hell would the people that hired him less than a year ago purposely undermine his ability to be successful? It makes no sense.
  7. Seems like a poor argument to me. One year is not enough time to mold a FB team and establish a culture. Years two and three are far more indicative. I am surprised that people with knowledge of CFB think we know anything about a guy after one year. History laughs at that notion. There is no such thing as a coach who is a finished product, if we hire a guy who thinks he’s done learning then he wouldn’t work out either. You have to constantly adapt and improvise to be worth a crap in such a rapidly changing arena like CFB
  8. UGA fans find him responsible for the fact that they don’t have a game breaker like Waddle or Jameson Williams on the roster. They respect him as a coach and developer. His title is pass game coordinator at UGA(yikes), but by most accounts he’s a good football coach and a pretty good but not elite recruiter although he did land George Pickens who was a 5 star WR. He has solid ties in Florida but more importantly he is a force to be reckoned with in Louisiana. Him and Choice on staff seems like a great deal for recruiting in Georgia, Florida, and Louisiana moving forward. He would be a major influence in Louisiana with Austin being close I think his impact on Louisiana recruiting would be somewhere in between Mickey Joseph and Corey Raymond.
  9. Yeah Steven Godfrey said the same. Seems like the consensus in the industry is that this is the final year in the big 12.
  10. That would ruin CDC’s and GP’s reputation if he openly sabotaged Sark. Kevin Steele is a great Defensive mind but he is unemployed right now for pulling a similar move. I’m not buying it.
  11. The jury is still out on sark, one year is not enough time to judge anyone I don’t care if we went undefeated this year. A one year referendum on a guy is crazy. Let’s see what he does with a QB this year. He seems reasonable and pragmatic thus far which is a good thing. Coleman being let go is a good data point. id love to add GP because he could oversee the recruiting department, the S&C and the Defensive game-planning. The guy has been a HC for 20 years and built a program practically by himself. He could help Sark tremendously. He would not be brought in without Sarks approval, that’s just ridiculous and that’s not how CDC operates. Therefore, if he is brought in, that shows that Sark is not insecure and that he can lay his ego aside for the betterment of the team. Another positive data point. I would bet my left nut that GP is not the next HC if Sark is fired. I bet we do whatever it takes to get Shannahan
  12. Sark also liked the tweet btw
  13. Man, if we can somehow land him AND Addison idk what I would do. That would garner some real optimism. Imagining Quinn with Bijan and two All American WR’s….
  14. Just texted a friend whose on the Hawaii staff, he said Oregon is the destination.
  15. Kind of disappointed in DL play not sure how much of it is Bo vs Scheme but I thought he’d have Sweat and Collins dominating this year. Also disappointed in TE play considering that Banks makes 1 million dollars, but he’s mainly a ST guy and they were the strength of the team so it’s whatever. I don’t know why we have a safeties coach it seemed like we played with 9 men all year.
  16. Give him an intern role and see what he does, kind of low risk.
  17. Thanks for this response. I understand your perspective better now and I think I tend to agree. I have seen so many disaster hires within this program over the years so I guess that it has made average seem attractive to some degree. Wow that’s crazy. You are right.
  18. I don’t think anyone believes he’s an elite Director of Recruiting. It’s just hard to believe that his presence in the program is something that should be lamented.
  19. I don’t understand this. It’s kind of ridiculous for you to ridicule me for pointing out an actual quote. That’s weird. If we can’t take players quotes into account then none of this matters. The anti Harris stuff is hearsay. Maybe it’s credible hearsay but it’s difficult to believe that it’s as bad as some say if he is still being employed. Harris has done some good things and built some solid relationships with recruits. That’s easily verifiable. I can attest to that personally because I know kids who he is currently trying to recruit. Moreover, it is not humanly possible for one person to be liked by everyone, even Carrington rubbed some dudes like Jeffery McCullough the wrong way. You could be right about Harris, if so I hope that he corrects his mistakes but you cant deny the positive that he’s done with many members of this class based on what has been reported.
  20. If it’s Hankton, he needs to tell George Pickens to come play in an offense where the QB can get him the ball.
