    Spoiler

    Per IT

    1. IT does not believe On3 Consensus 5-star OT Kelvin Banks (Humble, Texas/Summer Creek) will end up at Miami, as of this afternoon. The question remains if Banks will sign December 15, or wait until February. I'll call that fluid. Could go either way. Of course, Clemson, Alabama, Texas A&M and others are trying to get him to push back. Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian, Kyle Flood and Jeff Banks are still likely to make an in-home Friday. The key here will be if it's just Flood and Banks Friday, or all three. We shall see. Texas feels pretty good about the chances. As you guys know, this stuff is moving and changing hourly with this crazy cycle. But that's where it's at tonight.

    2. Steve Sarkisian and staff members made an in-home tonight with an On3 Consensus 4-star prospect that is committed to another school. I'm not trying to be a tease, but I was asked not to get into specifics at this time. Best I can do. Staff is working hard to fill key positional needs.

    3. IT will be watching for a certain former Top 300 ranked prospect to hit the portal Friday or Saturday. When that happens, Texas will be very much in the mix ... if not the outright favorite. And this is the level of portal player the Texas program needs.

Commence with the bad, and downright awful jokes; and we shall see what tomorrow brings!

Ohio State transfer quarterback Quinn Ewers (Southlake Carroll, TX) is expected to visit Texas on Saturday. This will be his second face-to-face meeting with Steve Sarkisian since he entered the transfer portal last Friday.

Along with Ewers, Texas is trying to get its remaining targets to campus one last time before National Signing Day next Wednesday. IT will have more on that as the week unfolds. One other player who may visit is North Shore five-star cornerback Denver Harris. Harris has to work around a playoff game in Round Rock on Saturday.

A factor IT believes helped UT gain serious traction in this recruitment is the feedback Ewers has received from his original classmates. Though he reclassified to the 2021 class and spent a season in Columbus, next Wednesday was to be his original signing day. Since entering the portal, Ewers has mentioned he wants to help recruit players to the school of his choosing. Texas is certainly greater than Texas Tech in that regard.

The familiarity Ewers has with many in the class has allowed him to do homework on where guys are leaning. Throughout that reconnaissance, Texas has fared well.

Something to keep in mind, however, Texas A&M is making one final push to host common targets as well.

Texas is oh so close to establishing momentum down the final stretch, but a little work remains. If Ewers selects Texas, as IT expects, the visit Saturday is the potential stick of dynamite to loosen a recruiting avalanche.

If QE wants to get guys in the class then he needs to decide soon. QE coming to Austin as a committed prospect generates more buzz than him coming as a uncommitted one.

Do you trust this coaching staff’s evaluation? I don’t care about stars either, but his tape doesn’t scream offer. But like Bama, if you have 3, five star WRs committed then you take him for his other traits. Let’s not pretend that they have a WR room filled with that type of WR. They have had more five stars in that room alone than we have had in our entire team.

I will say that I’d take him with those opponent’s recs over someone like Winfield. Honestly, I think I’m just worried about how we are handling some last minute misses and moving onto guys who aren’t even our backups. The news about interest in Crawford got me worried we have no plan at WR. Red might be a good pick but the feel of WR recruiting right now is bad bad.

with the role that deep receiving threats play in this offense, I doubt sark would let it all go to crap. Im really trusting his eval more than Coleman's, but if I'm not mistaken, Banks was the one who offered him and I definitely trust him.

Goddamn Coleman is absolutely useless. Sark brought Worthy, Ewers trying to bring Stewart, meanwhile Coleman is standing on the table for a kid ranked in the 1,500’s. Thanks for all the hard work, ya bum.

Im sorry but I trust the eval of the coaches more than mike roach and Nick Harris lmao. Recruiting services aren't everything, Bama takes guys like this every cycle.
