  1. Did I miss a memo? Is there a reason this thread is an orgy of HCQ information when 99% of the planet doesn’t think it’s a panacea? Can @triplehorn and @Anastasis take that conversation elsewhere? or maybe I’m the idiot and I should ignore this thread? FTR, I am fine with being an idiot...
  2. All Trump supporters are cowards and/or racists and/or idiots. Is that clear enough for your cowardly ass?
  3. We watched it earlier and it was powerful. As he said, it wasn’t terribly funny, but it was extremely well done.
  4. I have a question...did you not know about the hospitalization data that Brad posted or was there a reason you posted only part of the story? cases are interesting, but we all know that hospitalizations is where it’s at.
  5. You are neither right nor popular, so you have that going for you.
  6. Poor you! Try to keep a stiff upper lip, old chap, we know you’re the true victim in all this.
  7. I assumed it was Chrispy, but I guess that could be wrong.
  8. I read this factoid, but I completely reject the source of the factoid as an asshole. Regardless, here’s my recollection of the factoid I read. is that right?
  9. I agree with all of this and I am by no means a STAY HOME absolutist, but a large driver of the behavioral change will be/should be addressing the factors that are causing the concerns. Our meeting discussing reopening our office also included specific details about closing the communal kitchen, blocking off most conference rooms, sign in sheets for employees to do tracing, and a capacity restriction that would limit us to *10* people in the office at a time. With all of that, 85% of the staff still essentially said nope. If we are serious about getting back to something close to normal, it’s vital that we as a country focus on every possible mitigation tool, for both practical and psychological reasons. The people protesting now are having the exact opposite impact, but our leadership is too dumb or scared to lay all of the cards on the table. Countries like NZ played it right from the beginning and it’s paying off for them. Then again, look at SK...they also did great from the start, but one guy got all of the bars closed again. This is going to be a slog.
  10. Take-out business soaring at Dallas restaurants in spite of reopened dining room The article is behind a paywall, so I don’t expect everyone to read it, but that is the headline from the notoriously liberal Dallas Morning News. Would you like to hazard a guess as to why the “opening” isn’t blowing the doors off everywhere? The 25% (or 50%) threshold isn’t profitable and the OWNERS DON’T FEEL SAFE! Now, what might make them feel safe? Maybe testing and contact tracing? Nah, that’s Orwell taking away muh freedoms. People are not going to dive back in (unless they have to) until that happens. It’s anecdotal, but I was on a call with our local office this week (national consulting firm) and our GM put up a poll relating to when people want to come back to the office (or go to a client’s office.) it was 1-5 scale, with 1 being “Nope” and 5 being “Save me a seat.” There were around 150 people on the call - 66% selected 1 and 19% selected 2 - nobody with any options is going anywhere. Bunch of liberal IT consultants I guess. As many have said, you are out of your element, so just stop.
  11. Look, people can keep dunking on you and making you look like an idiot or you can stop posting...it’s up to you. it’s completely clear that you don’t understand that nobody has currently closed the economy and that the “opening” has almost nothing to do with “big government” and has almost everything to do with consumer confidence and safety concerns. Exhibit A is Georgia, where traffic is nowhere near what you “open everything” morons would like. You and the other idiots should be pushing for testing and contact tracing like your betters and stop whining about “killing the economy” but you are too busy sucking Gruhorns’ carrot. It is time for adults to speak, so your time should now be over. Go post on the DT idiot thread.
  12. Life, liberty, and the pursuit of Supercuts...
  13. Separately, it’s absolute bullshit that Warren isn’t the nominee, but I guess that ship has sailed. God forbid the nominee isn’t a moron. 😀
  14. I thought we agreed it can’t be Warren because the governor of MA is a republican. Also, she’s too old to run with Joe. Abrams is actually doing more important work, plus I think she has the Beto problem (what has she done). Isn’t Kamala the AG? I think it’s Witmer.
  15. Well, @Drew was incessantly complaining about working during the pandemic, so I would start there.
  16. @zork is one of the biggest snowflake cucks on this site. He is a complete embarrassment to adult Texans. It’s best to just laugh at him.
  17. I mean, sure. But you seem to be forgetting about muh freedom...duh.
  18. So I will ask again...between this turd and the eloquent circumstantial evidence take noted above, why is this complete fucking asshole still allowed to post here? Can we please ban his ass?
  19. Wait, people here got checks? Y’all sound poor. (it’s a joke.)
  20. What if (and this is going to sound crazy) we just nuked his ass? Best case - he’s a kstate troll and a moron...worst case, he has an agenda that is not good. Seems like the only way to be sure is to nuke him from orbit.🤷‍♂️
  21. David Bryan from Bon Jovi had it and has recovered.
  22. Yeah, all media outlets are the same. Great job as always, bagofhammers... https://www.cnn.com/2020/02/14/media/washington-examiner-workplace-harassment/index.html
  23. Look at you - you still managed to find a way to use it in the thread. Congratulations!
  24. In other news, Robert Byrd died in 2010. Sackless is still a proud racist, though.
  25. A political party? One that Bernie isn't even a member of? I will vote for anyone the dems put up, but this thinking is naive.
