    I need to correct myself.  I looked it up because I was curious, and my memory failed me.  He didn’t die in the accident, but survived despite suffering burns over 80% of his body and being in a coma for several months.  I didn’t know the man well, and I guess I just assumed he died after hearing about it 30 years ago.  He was a Longhorn as well, so hook’em Dr. Foster and thanks for taking me up in your balloon 40ish years ago.
